I picked this up in a vault, and I'm enjoying it - but would I pay for it? Probably not. It's no miracle cream and I've used comparable cheaper ones from other brands.
So saying, it's lovely. Evolu are well known as a kiwi brand who are in a more expensive price bracket due to the use of natural products and non-inclusion of what they term 'nasty chemicals'.
This cream features oakleaf fern, nori and ulva marine algaes, hazelnut protein and shea butter. It has a strong botanical scent which I found offputting at first but got used to.
It's a lovely thick cream which leaves skin hydrated and supple, with minimal residue. I haven't broken out or reacted, and I enjoy using it - just can't justify that price tag for it, really! Luckily the (very simple) packaging is an inverted tube, so you can control how much you're dispensing and make it last.
I received this in one of BBBE Cruelty Free Edition. It’s contained in a 75ml white tube and suitable for all skin types. The cream is white with a light weight, non-greasy feel and has a strong refreshing scent. It contains no nasty chemicals and it made right here in New Zealand. It’s meant to repair, replenish and renew the skin overnight while sleeping.
I prepped my skin before I applied the cream by cleansing and toning my face and neck. I used a pea size and dotted my face, then rubbed it in my skin, which quickly absorbed. I did the same to my neck. My skin felt smooth, supple and bouncy. In the morning, my skin looked lively and healthy. After a few weeks, I started to notice the changes on my face as the scars and pigmentation had diminished and my skin looked radiant.
It’s a bit expensive, but when considering that it lasts a good few months, I would say it’s worth it. I recommend it to others who are wanting a healthy, radiant skin.
Tips: Use it after cleansing and toning the face at night.
