I've been trying this overnight cream alongside the set from the Evolu tower.
I'm a night cream junkie so I'm all over any new night cream I can find. This is a white cream, or actually more in the nature of a thick lotion, very similar to the day cream. It has the same odd smell. The first couple of times I used it I really didn't like it. Then I used it on warm skin immediately after washing my face and it worked better and felt nicer. I have a tendency to slap on a healthy dollop of night cream usually but that doesn't work well with this one. A thin layer left to absorb is more successful - any more product and it leaves a bit of a tacky, sticky, feel, which I don't like. After a while of the product absorbing my skin starts to feel nice. Very odd, but it gets better over 5 - 10 minutes. And it's very nice as a hand cream, as I've discovered from rubbing the excess into my palms. It certainly has some lovely ingredients. I only have these small pots to try so I can't speak for how this would perform over a month or so, but then oils and antioxidants it contains would likely help improve skin long term.
It isn't my favourite night cream so I wouldn't repurchase, but it is quite nice and worth a try, possibly better for people with less mature skin than mine though.
A 10ml sample of this Balancing Overnight Cream was included in the Evolu Travel Tower that came in "The Complete Natural Skin Care" box from The Best Beauty Box Ever.
This overnight cream helps to regulate, condition and replenish skin by intensively moisturizing to help maintain elasticity and skin radiance. It contains Borage, Irish Moss and Spirulina extracts to help regulate skin tone and promote a healthy, even complexion, as well as lavender, mandarin oil and shea butter.
It is lightweight and non-greasy when applied, although I did find this night cream to be far too rich for my oily skin type, probably because of the addition of shea butter, and it makes me perspire around my nose and chin for a good half hour after application, even in cool weather, which I know is a definite sign that this moisturiser isn't right for my skin type.
Tips: Use sparingly and add more as needed.
