As with any new facial product I try, I tested this product on the back of my hand before trying it on my face. After a few hours I'd had no reaction so thought I was good to go. Unfortunately not. My skin has been really dry of late with the air conditioning being on so much at work, so I was looking forward to trialing this product. With my skin being as dry as it is I opted for the overnight option on the box; cleansing, toning and then using the product and leaving it on overnight. Day 1: I noticed my skin felt a little heavy in the morning prior to rinsing the product off, once rinsed off my skin was definitely softer although I noticed a bit of redness around my nose and chin. This quickly faded after rinsing and doing my normal skincare/makeup regime. Day 2: Again my skin felt heavy and clogged in the morning, I noticed breakouts starting around my nose and on my chin (ugh!) - blessed with the skin I have, I only suffer from minor breakouts at a certain time of the month, and it wasn't that time, so was a little wary. Skin was definitely soft after I rinsed the product off. I noticed my pillowcase also had a greasy type film on it from the product, my face felt dirty in the morning. Day 3: I opted for the treat-me type option on the box as it was Friday, which is my bubble bath and relaxation night. After about an hour and a half of having the product on, I rinsed it off and noticed my breakouts were starting to look a little angry and redder than they had been. Day 4: opted not to use the product on this day with my breakouts as they were. Day 5: again opted not to use the product as my breakouts weren't clearing as quickly as I hoped. Day 6: breakouts were clearing so opted for the shorter timeframe, immediately noticed the skin around my breakouts went redder and my T-zone felt oily and clogged. While my cheeks and forehead felt soft, my T-zone just felt clogged and heavy. Day 7: last day of the trial, I used the product for a very short timeframe of 30mins, again the same results as Day 6. Overall I'd be reluctant to spend money on this product and wouldn't be purchasing it after the trial. It went on smoothly and a small amount was needed so it would be economical in that sense.

Tips: I'd recommend only using it once or twice a week rather than as part of a daily regime. Also test it on the side of your neck or under your chin rather than on your hand to make sure you don't have any breakouts or redness before trying it on your face.
I was happy to be selected for this trial as my skin definitely feels the affects of the harsh winter air and tends to dry out.
The masque has a thick creamy consistency and when applied to the skin it feels more like a heavy moisturiser which absorbs completely. For this reason I decided to leave it on overnight as it has a comfortable feeling.
I definitely felt the affects of circulation quite soon after I applied it as my skin had a warm feeling, but not unpleasant
Once morning arrived I washed my face as usual and my skin was left feeling fairly hydrated but i wouldnt say i was impressed. I tested the product several times with the same result.
Package arrived and look pretty impressive in a shiny lilac box with an easy to open cap. Unfortunately the white writing on the box was pretty difficult to read - especially for us older people and i needed a pair of glasses....LOL Pretty easy application without stickiness, and I went to bed without having a second thought. Easily removed in the next morning shower and left my skin soft and glowing - moisturiser went on easily after toning and make up was a breeze.
There was not to much of a fragrance which i liked - the texture was pretty nice and easy to apply - i will keep on using this product as it definitely added moisture back into my dry winter skin.
Tips: Will definitely use night application because it is so easy to apply
This face mask brings life and vitality to dry skin, which helped improve elasticity of my skin by putting some bounce back into its previously depleted state. It soothed and calmed my sensitivities as well as deeply moisturised my tired skin. If you're after a mask which is easy to apply, smells lovely and doesn't need a lot of product to cover the face, this is it. When I think of a facemask, this is the sort of thing I think of. One of those you apply and then you have to sit still and relax for half an hour whilst it works it's magic. It's left my skin looking and feeling nice and smooth, and using a couple of times a week really softened my skin. No complaints at all and would happily buy this over and over again.
Tips: Apply for 20 minutes and leave to develop, before gently rinsing off or, if you're particularly dry then tissue off, to reveal smoother skin, which feels nourished and clean. It feels like a very thick, fatty cream, so keep it away deom the eye area to avoid milia deposits from forming.
The Evolu Rehydration Rescue Masque is a very special product that helps getting over dryness and the effects it can have on your skin. When applying, you don't need to use a big amount of product, because it spreads quite nicely as a thin layer and have a choice of either leaving it on for a while during relaxation or overnight. It has a pleasant smell, and comes in a handy tube. The skin feels refreshed and deeply moistured after usage, and this effect lasts for a couple of days. This effect increases with overnight usage. My skin is so dry that there is not much cleaning up to be done the next morning. It is quite an expensive masque, but used sparingly, it will last a while and is definitely worth the expense.
Tips: Keep it on overnight to increase the benefits.
I love using a masque so was really pleased when I was chosen to trial this product. The product comes in a lovely lilac box with mainly white writing and a few words depicted in a dark brown and the tube inside is the same. I love the colour of the tube and box but reading the instructions required a magnifying glass. The main ingredients of grape extract, kiwifruit extract, manuka oil, hazelnut ,nz kawakawa and borage all in darker print and easy to read. The ingredients sounded really nourishing so I was feeling good about the product. The cream is the tube is a nice consistency and has a really velvety feel on contact with your face and a delicate citrus scent which I really like. First I cleansed my skin and toned and chose the option of applying and leaving on my face overnight as I have a dry sensitive skin so wanted to give the masque lots of time to work it's magic. When I applied my face was coated in white and I imagined I would wake up with a white concrete face however this did not happen -Within a few minutes of applying the excess cream had soaked into my skin and my skin was back to it's usual colour. The first morning after I washed off the masque I was a little disappointed as although my skin felt nice I did not feel it looked a lot better that usual however as the tube although only 60 Mls had plenty of product left so I decided I would use every night for the week and I feel I have been well rewarded. Each day I feel my skin looks that little bit fresher ,smoother and brighter and I notice my wrinkes are softer that they were. I felt the product at $54 was a little expensive however it is not just a one off use and as such I feel overall it is a quality product and needs to be used regularly to get maximum results. Would I buy it again -I am not sure -I like it and enjoy using but is it better than a good night cream -debateable. I will continue using until the tube is finished as it is nice to use and I will then feel I have given a fair chance before I decide if I will purchase in the future.
Tips: Massage in to your skin and make sure to include your neck.
I was luckily enough to trial this masque. I have tried a couple of Evolu products in the past with mixed results so I was interested to give this a go.
This masque is in a lilac coloured tube with a white flip lid which it sits on. It comes boxed in a lilac coloured box with instructions on the side on how to use this.
I found the instructions kind of lacking. They told you to cleanse and tone your face, then apply the masque to your face, neck and decolletage. Then you were given the option of either washing it off or leaving it on until the morning. There was nothing about the other products you may be using as well such as an eye cream or night cream or a serum, as in when and if to apply them. This I felt was a bit lacking on the part of Evolu.
I like the tube as you dont have to dip your fingers into a pot and possibly spread germs and get it under your nails.
The masque itself is white in colour and a cream like texture. It has a pleasent scent, not too strong so I think it will suit people who dont like strong fragrances.
I applied it to my cleansed and toned face, neck and decolletage and opted for the overnight option. It did feel lovely and was very easy to apply. It absorbed well and felt nice on my skin,I didnt feel like I had a thick layer of masque on my face. As it absorbed so well I was not concerned about leaving any residue on my pillowcase, and it didnt.
In the morning I washed the masque off in the shower and once I got out and dried my face off I was very happy with what I saw. My skin actually looked great! I had a good long look in the mirror with the light on and wearing my glasses and yes!, good looking skin. It felt soft as well. I continued to use the masque and the results were great. I didnt realise much moisture my skin was lacking.
I will continue to use this masque until it has finished, however, even with great results $54.99 is a big price for 60mls and I am still unsure if I will purchase this.
Tips: Inside the box there was a leaflet that mentioned that you can go onto the evolu wabsite and place a review.
Also in the box was a $20.00 e-voucher, so if you spend over $30.00 you can claim the voucher.
Absolutely stoked to be able to review this. This is my first time trying an evolu product and it deffintely didn't disappoint.
The packaging was perfect! The colour is a purplely-grey. The product designs and the aroma gave the product a luxurious feel.
This is super easy! I applied a thin layer after cleansing and toning and left on overnight as per the instructions. It definitely worked it's magic overnight. After washing, my skin was left feeling soft and clean.
Upon first opening I thought the size was a little on the small side (60ml tube) but after first use, you really only need a little bit so this will go a long way.
I like the fact that it is I'm a squeezable tube that way you will only be getting what you need.
Would I purchase in future? Yes! The only thing that is putting me off is the price. The approx $55 makes it slightly out of my price range. HOWEVER in the box there is a $20 e-coupon which you can redeem if you subscribe to the evolu newsletter!
Tips: A little goes a long way with this. You only need to apply a thin layer
Prior to reviewing this I had never tried a leave on overnight masque. To be honest I didn't know they existed, so I was quite excited to give it a whirl. I love the fact that you are effectively feeding your skin while you sleep. The texture of the masque is dense but not creamy, it is gently fragranced with bergamot and sweet orange essential oils. Upon application it literally soaks into your face. I wasn't expecting anything miraculous when I rinsed it off the following morning, but was pleasantly surprised to feel how soft my skin was. My once dehydrated skin really did feel restored & that was due to only one application! The listed ingredients of vinanza, vitamins, proteins and Omega-6 fatty acids work a treat. For this review I used the masque a total of 10 times overnight. My skin feels great - I'm really pleased with the results.
Evolu Rehydration Rescue Masque is advertised as a super-intensive moisture mask formulated for dehydrated skin that's sorely in need of revival. it is promoted as a rich intensive overnight treatment.
I love that the Evolu Masque contains no nasty chemicals such as parabens, petrochemicals, mineral oils, phthalates, sulfates, artificial colours or fragrances, and no animal products other than beeswax and lanolin. And top marks for being made in New Zealand with New Zealand Pure Spring Water.
The packaging is subtle, a light grey box with product information and a map of NZ on the front, but unfortunately has no expiry date on it which I would have expected with the use of natural products.
The masque comes in a squeeze tube and has a thick consistency but spreads easily over the skin. Being in a tube its also hygienic as you don't have to dip your fingers into the product unlike other masks which come in tubs. It has a very subtle fresh, clean scent, being fragranced with bergamot and sweet orange essential oils. The masque texture is thick and dense but not creamy, it’s easy to spread all over my face and leave a velvety feel. The masque is not oily or messy so it’s easy to use. In winter my complexion gets tired and dull, my skin is dry and dehydrated. I’ve noticed a lack of glow or brightness in my skin so I’m constantly looking for products that promote radiance, glow, and luminosity. After removing make-up and toning my skin I take about a good teaspoon of the masque and use a brush to apply the product to my face and neck. I gently massage the gel for approximately 10 seconds to help the gel penetrate deeply into my skin. I massage in a circular motion on my cheeks and in an upwards motion on my forehead and neck. It takes about 10 minutes for the masque to completely absorb. The masque has a nice texture and consistency that doesn't leave a greasy feel and is light enough so you can wear it overnight without creating a mess on your pillowcase. In the morning, I use a mild cleanser to clean my face and rinse with cold water or rinse off in the shower. I had high hopes for this product since over night masks are all the rage. The masque leaves my skin very soft after application. However I do not see any extra radiance added to my face as a result of using this product. I found it quite moisturising but not super hydrating. I was hoping for more even skin tone and deep hydration and it unfortunately disappointed me in that area. While I did not use it for a long period of time I didn't find that it did much for my skin. I expected more moisture and more glow. I find that my night creams are more effective than this masque. Maybe with continuous use, it could increase the hydration level in my skin and even skin tone over time. However, I do recommend this product for those with normal to slightly dry skin who prefer natural products because it does not contain harmful preservatives.
Tips: Massage the gel into your skin to give a workout for facial muscles and promote blood flow to your face and neck.
