This cleanser is light and creamy, reminds me of the Nivea dry cleanser but with a thinner consistency. The 125mls will last a good amount of time as you don't need to use much to cover the whole face, considering the price I think is good. The cleanser didn't relax me but it did deeply clean and hydrate my skin, I did notice my pores on my cheek seemed more noticeable and I did have breakouts there as well, I do have ultra sensitive skin but I think the cleanser was detoxifying and pushing out the nasties. I didn't notice any change to my fine lines but I like that has ingredients for anti-ageing, my skin was also less dry but did still have some dry flakes. I'm glad they don't use any other animal ingredients apart from beeswax and it is more natural. Th smell is great and reminds me of going on bush walks, I can't pick the apricot but the smell of nature and flowers is amazing. I would repurchase at a lower price as for $39.99 I would want my skin radiating which it wasn't quite at but definitely lives up to its statement of deep-clarifying.

Evolu Relaxing Creme Cleanser Review
Evolu Relaxing Creme Cleanser with Geranium + Calendula + Apricot Deep-Clarifying Facial Wash.
This gentle non-foaming formula is suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive and mature skins. Calendula, Geranium, Apricot and St John’s Wort combine to deeply cleanse impurities and effectively remove face and eye make-up, without stripping the skin of its natural defences.

Tips: If you have trouble with pore size then I would suggest definitely using a toner or cold water after using this product.
I really liked this cream cleanser, it let my skin feeling soft and dewy and removed all makeup.
I had not seen this product before in my local supermarket and to be hones the green packaging doesn't necessarily stand out so may not have ever tried it however I can quickly say I'm converted and will be telling others as well!!
It has a great smell and easy packaging to use. Goes on your face well without needing to use lots of the product. It's non foaming which I liked and has a very creamy moisturising texture. It removed all of my makeup without any scrubbing that being said I don't think it would remove waterproof mascara well.
The cleanser left my skin feeling soft and clean and didn't dry it out. I still put a moisturiser on afterwards but didn't feel like I needed to do it instantly which is how I have felt when using other cleansers.
I really enjoy cream cleansers and was grateful to be given the opportunity to trial this, especially as I'd not previously tried any Evolu products. (Thanks BR!)
The cleanser comes in an avocado green and white tube, which makes getting the perfect amount of cleanser out easy. I enjoy the aesthetic of the design, very pleasing to the eye and it looks good on the bathroom counter.
The product smells amazing. A gorgeous herbaceous scent, which made the cleansing experience a treat.
As per directions I applied to my face (while dry as it didn't say to wet it beforehand) and massaged it in, then took a warm flannel and removed the the cleanser. It left my skin feeling super smooth and really clean. It also did a really good ob of removing my makeup, however I marked it down a little as I found myself waking up in the morning with traces of mascara under my eyes - which didn't happen with my previous cleanser.
That being said, my skin is loving this product. It's looking clear and smooth and it hasn't reacted in any way. If you are looking for a natural cruelty free brand that offers a touch of luxury I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this.
Tips: Take the time to really massage the product in - make it a pampering experience rather than a hurried one.
With a light, earthy scent, and a generous amount of product in the packaging, this cleanser is a winner from the get-go. As this is such a natural based product, it contains no sulfates which means it doesn't lather when applied. It goes on to the face smoothly, washes away easily and takes away a surprising amount of dirt with it. It leaves the skin feeling very refreshed, soft, smooth and hydrated. Now that I am in my 30's my skin is starting to mature, and this is the perfect product for my new skin type. There are no harsh chemicals, which means my skin isn't left irritated and red after using the product. I'm definitely keen to try more products from this brand.
This is one of my favourite cleansers. It has a lovely earthy, calming smell and cleans my skin really well. I find that it also removes my make up well.
I've been using this cleanser for a few months now and I think my skin is smoother and my pores don't appear quite so large.
It is especially good for skin that is slightly on the dry side, as the creaminess of the cleanser means that it doesn't strip your skin of its natural oils.
This product is really natural, so I feel really good about putting it on my skin. I hadn't tried Evolu until mid last year and it is fast becoming one of my favourite brands!
I received a generous 30ml sample of this in the Beautiful Christmas NZ advent calendar. Firstly, the smell....this smells amazing! The main scent being geranium which reminds me of similar Trilogy products. I was able to remove makeup with this but mascara did require quite a bit of rubbing to remove it. I prefer oil balms for removing makeup so I saved this for makeup free days during summer. It's non foaming formula was able to remove sweat and sunscreen at the end of a hot day without leaving me skin feeling stripped. I hate that squeaky clean feel from foaming cleansers. This just left me with clean supple skin that felt like it had already been moisturised. The rest of the products in my routine glided in easily after using this. I would definitely use this again.
I'm not sure how this is relaxing, but it's certainly not effective as a cleanser, for my skin at least. Since using it, I've had more breakouts. Now this could be a coincidence, but this just didn't feel like it was adequately cleansing. I'd use it in the bath or shower in the evenings, massaging all over my face, neck and chest for a good couple of minutes, then rinse. Sometimes I'd use a cleansing wipe afterwards, as my skin just didn't feel clean enough, and grime would still show on the wipe. I'm not a huge face make-up wearer - usually just a BB cream and touch of bronzer or blush, so it's not like there was a lot to cleanse, relatively speaking. On the plus side, it's a gentle cleanser for sensitive skin, no offensive smell, and by a cruelty-free brand. But for me personally, I need something with a bit more cleansing action.
This product comes in a green and white tube with Evolu branding. It has a pop top.
I hadn’t used Evolu products before and saved the individual products in the range from various sources (via BR) so I could use the whole set together – cleanser, toner, day cream, and night cream).
The cleanser itself is white, and quite creamy. It has an unusual scent that I neither like or hate. It could be the calendula that is primarily responsible for that. It also has geranium, apricot and St John Wort. I would’ve liked a more apricot scent.
It cleanses as well as any cleanser and doesn’t dry my skin. It is mild and claims to be for all skin types. It is good, but not better than any of the more average products I’ve used. And at $40 I’d be quite unlikely to purchase it again, because I think there are cheaper cleansers that are as good as this.
I do like that it’s made in New Zealand from natural products, and if I had problem skin I may be grateful for a mild product such as this.
I had high hopes for this cleanser but after using it for 4 months I'm not impressed. I like to think of my products as must-haves vs. nice-to-haves, this one is neither.
It comes in a functional squeeze tube with the brand's standard white/green colour scheme. The product is a thin creamy consistency that turns milky when in contact with water.
I have oily sensitive skin so cleansing is an important step for me and this product does little for my skin. While it leaves my skin feeling soft (without any negative reaction) it doesn't feel "cleansed" (nowhere near deeply cleansed).
The step is almost useless because it's as if I hadn't done a good enough job despite massaging it in and leaving it on for 5 minutes or longer. I use this twice a week but could easily use it everyday because it's very gentle. However I wouldn't repurchase this, it's just not worth the splurge.
Have only been using this once a day as have the flu but it not only has made my face feel softer but it also has helped make me feel refreshed which is what I've needed. Will be getting more of this and trying other products from this brand.
