Evolu Relaxing Creme Cleanser Review

I had high hopes for this cleanser but after using it for 4 months I'm not impressed. I like to think of my products as must-haves vs. nice-to-haves, this one is neither.

It comes in a functional squeeze tube with the brand's standard white/green colour scheme. The product is a thin creamy consistency that turns milky when in contact with water.

I have oily sensitive skin so cleansing is an important step for me and this product does little for my skin. While it leaves my skin feeling soft (without any negative reaction) it doesn't feel "cleansed" (nowhere near deeply cleansed).

The step is almost useless because it's as if I hadn't done a good enough job despite massaging it in and leaving it on for 5 minutes or longer. I use this twice a week but could easily use it everyday because it's very gentle. However I wouldn't repurchase this, it's just not worth the splurge.

I received this in one of my BBBE boxes and was excited to use this as I have enjoyed 2 other products from the same brand. Packaging is an upside down squeeze tube, my favourite type of packaging. This one is coloured in a light lime green the same as the other products in this line.

I love the smell, it's balanced and not over powering. Perfect for use as my morning cleanser. Leaves my skin feeling gently refreshed and cleansed.

I don't like it so much as my evening cleanser. Only because it does not effectively remove my make up at all and I don't even wear foundation, just eye makeup and lippy.

It's my least favourite product out of the three I have tried (cleanser, spray toner and night cream). I like it enough but have other products that will do the job for a lot less so I most likely will not be repurchasing.

I got this in a beauty box and was really happy to have it since it was touted as a sensory experience to use. I go over the pros of this product first. It's a lovely, natural cream cleanser. It smells pleasant and has a slightly floral smell from the geranium oil and I personally am a fan of geranium scents. It's gentle and lovely to use on my face in the morning which is when I use a cream cleanser. No problem getting the product out of the tube and there's no leakage which has happened with some cleansers I've used. However, this is where the appreciation ends. I don't think it's "deep-clarifying facial wash" like the tube states, if it was I would be using it in the evening as my second cleanse after my oil cleanser. I personally didn't experience an amazing sensory experience using it. It wasn't like incredible layered, scent notes emerged when I massaged this on my face. And lastly, it's 40 bucks at the time of this review for a 125ml tube. That's pricey for a cream cleanser that's pretty average. There are two natural cream cleansers that sell for around this price point that I have tried and that I think are worth purchasing and unfortunately this is one of them. So I will not be repurchasing this.

Have you ever felt like you are experiencing a luxurious, relaxing facial just by the simple act of taking your make up off? Well, this is what it feels like to me when I use this cleanser!! It feels divine on the skin, it smells gorgeous, and it makes your skin feel wonderfully hydrated and freshened up after use. The blend of ingredients Evolu have used in this cleanser works exceptionally well: the smell reminds me of luxurious facials I’ve had in the past. I am thoroughly enjoying using this product - it makes the whole process of getting home from work in the evening and taking off my make-up so much more rewarding and enjoyable, and I look forward to using it at the end of each day! I just apply it in the shower with my hands, it doesn’t foam, it’s just a slightly creamy texture, and then I rinse it off gently with a face cloth while I am still in the shower. I can still smell the beautiful scent on my skin for a while after using it, and even hubby says he can smell it on my face after I use it & he also thinks it smells nice. Great product Evolu!

A 30ml luxury sample tube of Evolu Relaxing Creme Cleanser was included in a 2017 Christmas Advent Calendar that I'd ordered. The full sized tube is 125ml and also comes in a soft plastic squeeze tube, with a flip top lid, which makes it really easy to use in the shower.

The white creme cleanser has a very gentle non-foaming formula, that has a definite scent of geranium. It also contains calendula which helps to soothe skin, which stimulating skin repair, apricot extract to soften and hydrate, and St John's Wort for its calming effect on inflamed skin and blemishes. This creme cleanser is suitable for all skin types, although it specifically states that it's good for those with sensitive skin, problem dryness, or mature skin types.

I have very oily skin, and I'm usually not a fan of creme cleansers, as I find my oily skin needs a foaming cleanser to feel clean, but I must say that I was really impressed with this creme cleanser. Not only did it effectively remove all traces of make-up (including really stubborn eyeliner), it also left my skin feeling really clean and soft, while still providing a deep clean without managing to completely stripping my skin of it's protective mantle (the layer of natural moisture and oils that act as a protective layer on the skin).

To sum it up, this is a really great creme cleanser that does deliver on its promise of a deep clean, while still being very gentle on the skin. I'd definitely recommend it, and would repurchase this product.

I don’t usually have back ups of products, as I hate clutter. But I make an exception for this product.

The tube is nice and simple. Plastic with the usual Evolu colours of green and white - looks classy.

The product itself is lovely. A nice cream that has a slight herbaceous smell. But for once I like it. The cream is lovely and feels fantastic on the skin. When you wash it off (I usually do this with a face cloth) my skin feels great and not dry at all. My skin love this.

I will continue to repurchase this, and keep an eye out at Farmers for specials.

I received this in one of the BBBE Cruelty Free Edition. It’s suitable for all skins types and supposed to be a deep-clarifying cleanser. There are no nasty chemicals contained in this and it’s made here in New Zealand. It has a lovely sweet floral fragrance which is strong, but pleasant. The cleanser is white with a light weight creamy consistency.

I used about a size of a 10c piece and gently rubbed it all over my face and neck. Even if I’m removing my makeup I did the same thing and it’s so gentle on the eyes as well that I didn’t have to worry about any stinging or reactions. The cleanser quickly absorbs into the skin and with a damp face cloth, I removed the cleanser and then washed my face with warm water. I did this both morning and night. My skin felt so soft and looked healthy. I have oily skin, but it didn’t dry out my skin or make it even more oily, instead my skin looked and felt hydrated. It also gives a refreshing sensation after using it.

This is one of the best cleaners of I’ve ever used. I think the price is fairly decent for a quality product like this and it does last a few months. I recommend it!

Absolutely loved this cleanser, I have been using a different brand that reacted badly with my skin and made it dry, red, stinging and angry.

Evolu Crème Cleanser helped to get my skin back to normal, soothed it and helped get rid of the dryness.

Felt so light and cleansed my skin without over drying it. Also noticed a decrease in acne on my face. Left my face feeling fresh.

This product was great at removing makeup while still being nice and creamy. However it did feel a little harsh on my skin sometimes especially if my skin was feeling very dry that day. The scent is a faint natural smell. The flip top lid was also very secure so there was never any leakage.

The packaging is simple, true to Evolu style. Generous in size, this cleanser is easily transported in is tube. When squished out, it's a fairly thick, white cream, fragrance free and easy to spread. On my sensitive skin, I've had no problems with this cleanser and my skin is particularly healthy at the moment. It's effective at gently removing makeup, including mascara. It doesn't dry out my skin afterwards and I feel it's just not stripping me of my oils like a lot of cleansers do. I am loving this stuff and recommend it to those wanting a gentle, no irritation cleanser.
