Evolu Renewing Facial Exfoliator Review

I'm a bit torn about this product. Does it do what it says it will? Yes, this is a gentle exfoliant that won't upset sensitive skin and has lots of lovely calming ingredients. The packaging is well-designed and easy to get into, while keeping water out if stored in the shower.

On the other hand... I just don't love it. It isn't very exfoliating, so I feel like it is a bit of a waste of time using it. With my combination skin I tend to exfoliate when I've got some serious spots to deal to (I know, I should be doing it regularly!) and this exfoliator just isn't up to that job.

Do I love it? No. Will I repurchase it? No. Do I recommend it for people with sensitive skin who are good about their beauty routine? Yup!

This is a creme-based exfoliator. It has an extremely smooth and creamy base, just like the Evolu cream cleanser, except with added gentle exfoliating jojoba beads.

It felt nice and gentle on the skin... but the exfoliating bio-beads were rather a bit too gentle for my liking.. but would be great for those with a more sensitive skin. My face did feel clean, soft, refreshed, and supple afterwards, but didn’t have that soft, silky-smooth.. and polished feel i would like to have after a having a good scrub.

Overall.. I do prefer to use a slightly more scrub-like exfoliator... so i can feel a bit more exfoliating satisfaction, but having a nice gentle exfoliator like this to use when your face is feeling more on the sensitive side is also great. It feels like you’re using a 2 in 1; Evolu’s creme cleanser with added beads for exfoliation.

Yes, i would still use it again when my face has it’s sensitive moments.. but probably not as my main facial exfoliator.

I got this in the Evolu Tower. I'm always up for a good exfoliator so was pleased to try this one.

It is a creamy white product with micro beads. The beads are sharp enough for a good exfoliation but not so much to tear my skin. It has a herb scent that I don't particularly love.

I've been using it after the Evolu cream cleanser and I like the way it brightens my skin but doesn't leave it feeling dry. My skin feels very clean and fresh afterwards with a slight shine. It creates a nice clean and soft base to apply moisturiser then foundation. It outlines 6 claims in the blurb above, and it definitely meets these claims.

I do recommend it. At $45 it seems a little pricey but it only takes a little to do the job, so the 125ml tube will last for ages.

The facial exfoliator has the same geranium scent as the Creme Cleanser, and is also a white cream consistency with rather large jojoba bio-beads that act as exfoliating granules, while papaya extract helps to brighten the skin. These all-natural buffing beads gently exfoliate without scratching the skin, to remove dry or flaky skin.

The scrub also contains a hydrating blend of manuka, lavender and geranium, which give it its signature scent, and the scrub does cleanse well with out drying out my skin, but I'm not a fan of the large beads and prefer a finer scrub or exfoliator, so I won't be purchasing any more of this product.
