Evolu Smoothing Body Lotion Review

I was lucky to get this trial and thank you very much beauty review. Before I start my thoughts for this body lotion, I would like to mention what my preference for body lotions or what I like. Personally I like fragrance free lotion ( natural smell should be fine or if it is performance wise good than I don't mine smell), absorbs quick, when u apply feel so nice and silky smooth skin.

I like the packaging because you can throw this tube style packaging in your bag and very easy to travel with instead of pump style ( I would prefer pump style packaging in home). Body lotion smells nice natural ingredients but not pleasantly smell. So I am confused do I like it or not. It doesn't absorbs quick as like my other body lotions which I using currently. I have to rub rub to absorb in my skin which is not my preference because I don't have time for that in morning specially when you are busy in morning time. After applying lotion I didn't feel silky smooth skin at all.

One thing I like it about this brand they mention on the tube is lotion is ph balanced some of brand don't do that. Very appreciated for that. Yes o agreed with that my skin feel hydrated. Personally I like it and I will finish it because it has all natural ingredients in it. But I would not spend 29$ for lotion because it didn't gave me " wow factor "

This lotion was lovely, I used it after having a shower. I love the scent, it smells botanical and expensive. The texture of the lotion was thin and creamy, it spread well on the skin, but needed a bit of massaging it be absorbed. I felt it keeps my skin feeling soft and well moisturised without feeling sticky. I have very sensitive hands and most body moisturises react when I use the lotion on my hands, however this lotion was soothing on my sensitive skin.

I have trouble with dry skin. Especially on my shins where it looks cracked sometimes. I haven't found a moisturiser that makes my skin feel soft without being greasy. Until now.

I really like the packaging of this product. The tube is actually quite a decent size and I was expecting something smaller.

It is made in New Zealand which is really cool!

It smells okay. Not amazing but it's a fresh, clean linen type of scent to me. It doesn't linger long on your skin which I like because then it doesn't take away from my perfume.

The lotion sinks into my skin well when it's rubbed in. It makes me skin feel so soft and hydrated without being oily and greasy feeling.

I think I've found my new must have moisturiser

As always when I get selected for a trial I am always really excited, at the prospect of trying something new! This was no exception. It was great timing as my skin has been very dry lately as it normally is at the end of Winter.

The product itself is a lot bigger than I was expecting which I was happy about because it means I have so much product left to use! It comes in a nice box that has a nice green mint like colour on it. It also has a lot of information on the box. The product itself is in a standard lotion bottle with a sturdy flip cap. I usually end up somehow breaking flip caps but this one is nice and solid making sure my cream stays in.

I've mostly used this on my hands as they are the most obvious case of dry skin. From the first application I was hooked! I have shared this out to a lot of my friends as I now carry it around (even though it is quite big). I love the scent, it is subtle and yet very refreshing. It doesn't smell like fake fragrances it really smells like the ingredients used.

Straight away my hands were refreshed! The cream absorbed relatively quickly without feeling oily. My hands were left soft and smooth and I believe it has helped keep my hands more moisturised! Now I only moisturise once a day as opposed to 2-3 times two weeks ago.

Love this product! Wish it came in smaller sizes so I could keep them in my bags!

The body lotion is a New Zealand made product and doesn't have nasty chemicals, so I was very excited to give this a go. It comes in a large plastic squeeze bottle (the upside down kind) and it's a very hefty bottle - you definitely get value for money in this product.

The lotion is white in colour, and while it is an Avocado/Lime/Lemon/NZ Kanuka scent, I only picked up a plasticky one (although it is a light scent as advertised and it's not overpowering). I can sort of pick up the citrus scent if I close my eyes, but the scent wasn't my favourite. I'd love to see a clean scent that is more identifiable, as I didn't think the scent matched the description.

The lotion is on the thicker side, but it applies easily and smoothly. It also absorbs quickly too which is nice. I liked using it best after the shower, as the texture is nice and it's easy to smooth out on the skin, though I found it a bit heavy for use just on the hands, so I'd say it's definitely designed for the body (as described on the packaging).

I was interested to see how well it would work on my elbows and heels (as advertised) but while I felt moisturised in the moment, I didn't notice any improvement over a two week period. It does leave the skin feeling moisturised in the moment but I wish I had better results over time.

It is cool to the touch, so I can see how nice it would feel after a long hot day in the sun. For me, I am on the hunt for something that will help improve my skin over time.

There is always something special about New Zealand made, natural products. This one is advertised as a lightweight body lotion - and that it is. It spreads and absorbs easily but is heavy duty enough to be a lotion rather than a hand cream. It leaves no oily or sticky residue, making it suitable for morning and evening application.

The biggest bonus for me is the 200ml size, in plastic tube packaging. This will last a long time even when I am using it twice daily. I have been using it twice daily while trialing this product; however, I will now continue to use it in the morning whilst using a heavier body butter or oil before bed. Whilst this has left my skin soft and hydrated, it hasn't quite done the trick on particularly dry areas such as my shins and elbows.

Scent is an important factor for me when purchasing a body lotion. The scent of this product is subtle and doesn't smell strongly of any of the ingredients listed in the description. In saying that, I am probably used to overly fragranced products so it is possibly unfair to compare a natural product to those. My mum loves the scent of this (or lack of) as she doesn't like to be able to smell her lotions.

Overall, I would repurchase this as a gift as I know a lot of people who love natural, New Zealand made products and the Evolu brand. It performs well and it would last them a long time. I would not repurchase this for myself as I will be reaching for something with a heavier scent.

I have a history of bad eczema and this makes me nervous to try new lotions. However I will eat humble pie because this product is excellent. The lotion spread easily and it soaks in quickly. This is the best lotion I have ever used in terms of it soaking into the skin. The packaging is easy to use and I love the scent of the lotion. This is a definite winner.

I never tried any of the Evolu products before, so I was excited to get chosen to be part of the trial team for the Evolu Smoothing Body Lotion. Evolu is made right here in New Zealand, contains no nasty chemicals and it’s cruelty free! The Evolu Smoothing Lotion is also suited to all skin types. My skin gets very dry in winter and I already have a lot of stretch marks, I couldn’t wait to try it to see how well it will smooth out my skin.

I use it after my showers in the morning and night time while my skin is soft and can easily absorb the lotion. I squeeze half a pea size for each section of my body and rub it in my palms before I rub it into my skin. I rub it in a circular motion to equally distribute the lotion and until my skin has absorbed it. The Evolu Smoothing Body Lotion has a pleasant smell with a hint of lemon and lime, which are two of the ingredients of the lotion. It has a thick white consistency and took a while for me to rub it into the skin, but that’s the only thing I didn’t like about it. Otherwise it’s a wonderful product. My skin stayed matte but hydrated all day and the lotion didn’t give a sticky, shiny look or feel. My skin also felt very smooth with no signs of dryness and my stretchmarks even felt smoother.

I really like the Evolu Smoothing Body Lotion and I recommend it to anyone who has dry skin or stretch mark problems.

This is such a nice, everyday moisturiser. It has a very light, botanical scent that doesn't interfere with perfumes/body sprays. It does appear to be a thick lotion when you first apply it and it does take some work to rub it all in but you really feel like it is doing some good, not just a light lotion that just is absorbed to nothing quickly. And although it feels thick, once its rubbed in it doesn't leave any residue/feel sticky on the skin. I got into the habit of applying this every morning after my shower and have even been using it as a hand cream at night too as its so hydrating. Love that it is a NZ product with botanical ingredients but I do usually prefer something with a bit more of a scent and wish it was a bit easier to rub in, hence my overall rating not being 5/5. I think if you had sensitive skin this would be a really good option.

I was fortunate enough to review this moisturizer at the right time as I have been suffering from dry legs since the beginning of winter! The appearance of the skin on my legs before I started using Evolu Smoothing Body Lotion was dry and scaly and occasionally itchy (I guess my hot showers weren't doing me any favours). From the first application my legs felt very moisturized, smoother and softer as it claims. I guess you could say 'hydrated'.

The consistency is rather thick and it takes a wee while to rub the product all the way into my skin, not ideal for immediate dressing, and I am not a fan of the lingering lime scent from the lime oil (think roses lime cordial!?) But with this aside it does do a great job at moisturising. Non oily as it states.

Would be nice as a post sun cream in summer - may even melt/absorb into skin quicker in the warmer month?
