Evolu Smoothing Body Lotion Review

I really like the fact that this body lotion absorbed quickly and felt really nice on my body. And it smelt nice! :) The only downside was the price. I was given this as a gift, but I probably wouldn't purchase it for myself as I think $30 is a bit pricey for a body lotion and to be honest it's one of those things that I'll use if I have it but I generally won't go and buy for myself. (I'm love beauty products, but moisturiser is one of those items that I always forget to use!).

This is an utterly gorgeous body lotion. It smells natural and delicious - I love the essential oils, and the packaging is great and easy to use.

I only need to use a small amount (so the 200ml tube has lasted a long time). It absorbs really quickly and leaves my skin feeling silky soft with a subtle fragrance.

I love the natural ingredients and the fact that it is NZ made.

I love how this body lotion is packaged for starters. The packaging feels so nice and luxurious and looks really pretty with the colour and designs printed on it. This body lotion smells exactly like citrus ice blocks you would eat after a good summers day at the beach, though the citrus smell is not overwhelming but really pleasant, calming and refreshing. I had recently gone to the beach and my feet felt so dry and cracked on the heel, so I decided to use this lotion for the first time and I loved the way it felt and soaked in almost instantly. My dry skin basically disappeared once the lotion soaked in and since then my feet haven't been cracked or dry at all. I really like this lotion and it is good value for the RRP.

I have trouble with dry skin. Especially on my shins where it looks cracked sometimes. I haven't found a moisturiser that makes my skin feel soft without being greasy. Until now.

I really like the packaging of this product. The tube is actually quite a decent size and I was expecting something smaller.

It is made in New Zealand which is really cool!

It smells okay. Not amazing but it's a fresh, clean linen type of scent to me. It doesn't linger long on your skin which I like because then it doesn't take away from my perfume.

The lotion sinks into my skin well when it's rubbed in. It makes me skin feel so soft and hydrated without being oily and greasy feeling.

I think I've found my new must have moisturiser

As always when I get selected for a trial I am always really excited, at the prospect of trying something new! This was no exception. It was great timing as my skin has been very dry lately as it normally is at the end of Winter.

The product itself is a lot bigger than I was expecting which I was happy about because it means I have so much product left to use! It comes in a nice box that has a nice green mint like colour on it. It also has a lot of information on the box. The product itself is in a standard lotion bottle with a sturdy flip cap. I usually end up somehow breaking flip caps but this one is nice and solid making sure my cream stays in.

I've mostly used this on my hands as they are the most obvious case of dry skin. From the first application I was hooked! I have shared this out to a lot of my friends as I now carry it around (even though it is quite big). I love the scent, it is subtle and yet very refreshing. It doesn't smell like fake fragrances it really smells like the ingredients used.

Straight away my hands were refreshed! The cream absorbed relatively quickly without feeling oily. My hands were left soft and smooth and I believe it has helped keep my hands more moisturised! Now I only moisturise once a day as opposed to 2-3 times two weeks ago.

Love this product! Wish it came in smaller sizes so I could keep them in my bags!

I have a history of bad eczema and this makes me nervous to try new lotions. However I will eat humble pie because this product is excellent. The lotion spread easily and it soaks in quickly. This is the best lotion I have ever used in terms of it soaking into the skin. The packaging is easy to use and I love the scent of the lotion. This is a definite winner.

I never tried any of the Evolu products before, so I was excited to get chosen to be part of the trial team for the Evolu Smoothing Body Lotion. Evolu is made right here in New Zealand, contains no nasty chemicals and it’s cruelty free! The Evolu Smoothing Lotion is also suited to all skin types. My skin gets very dry in winter and I already have a lot of stretch marks, I couldn’t wait to try it to see how well it will smooth out my skin.

I use it after my showers in the morning and night time while my skin is soft and can easily absorb the lotion. I squeeze half a pea size for each section of my body and rub it in my palms before I rub it into my skin. I rub it in a circular motion to equally distribute the lotion and until my skin has absorbed it. The Evolu Smoothing Body Lotion has a pleasant smell with a hint of lemon and lime, which are two of the ingredients of the lotion. It has a thick white consistency and took a while for me to rub it into the skin, but that’s the only thing I didn’t like about it. Otherwise it’s a wonderful product. My skin stayed matte but hydrated all day and the lotion didn’t give a sticky, shiny look or feel. My skin also felt very smooth with no signs of dryness and my stretchmarks even felt smoother.

I really like the Evolu Smoothing Body Lotion and I recommend it to anyone who has dry skin or stretch mark problems.

This is the second Evolu product I've tried and I absolutely loved it! The lotion is super absorbent, applies easily and is very hydrating. I have in the past used a combination of baby oil and body lotion to feel fully moisturized however since using Evolu lotion I haven't felt the need to use anything else in addition. It does nourish and moisturize problem areas like elbows, knees and heels and provides relief from winter skin. It isn't noticeably fragrant but it is not unpleasant either. I would definitely use again, especially in winter.

I have very dry and sensitive skin and have found this to be brilliant. My elbows and knees were extremely dry, with my legs being so dry they looked scaly. After using this my skin is soft and smooth with minimal roughness. The scaliness on my legs is almost non-existent now. While I am not overly fussed on the smell, it is not overpowering and it doesn't linger which I like. It absorbs quickly, is non-greasy, and not oily so great for applying before getting dressed. A little goes a long way, so the good sized tube will last a reasonable time. I have to say I am a fan of this product as it has made my skin look good in a shorter period of time than others I have used.

I was fortunate enough to review this moisturizer at the right time as I have been suffering from dry legs since the beginning of winter! The appearance of the skin on my legs before I started using Evolu Smoothing Body Lotion was dry and scaly and occasionally itchy (I guess my hot showers weren't doing me any favours). From the first application my legs felt very moisturized, smoother and softer as it claims. I guess you could say 'hydrated'.

The consistency is rather thick and it takes a wee while to rub the product all the way into my skin, not ideal for immediate dressing, and I am not a fan of the lingering lime scent from the lime oil (think roses lime cordial!?) But with this aside it does do a great job at moisturising. Non oily as it states.

Would be nice as a post sun cream in summer - may even melt/absorb into skin quicker in the warmer month?
