Dr. LeWinn's Inner Beauty Vegan Collagen + Hyaluronic Acid Inner Beauty Liquid Shots

I tried this in the form of liquid shots. It was one shot a day for a period of 20 days. I used the apple flavour and mixed the shot with a glass of water. It has a pleasant taste, just like drinking apple juice. It's easy to take and by consuming it, the product works from the inside out. It's easier that applying lots of creams and lotions. There was no immediate effect but towards the end of the usage period, I did notice that my skin was looking better. It feels more hydrated, much less dryer than normal and it looks brighter too. My hair condition has improved with added gloss. My nails are getter stronger and longer. I would recommend the product for longer term results.

I didn’t mind the taste of these Vegan Collagen Hyaluronic Acid shots, the apple flavour wasn’t too bad but I felt like they were more than a “shot” and had to drink it down and by then I felt a bit sick so didn’t really enjoy them that much. I must say though, my hair is so much shinier and my nails are strong and healthy, my nail technician even noticed a difference so they do work. I didn’t notice a big difference in my skin, but think if I was to take them longer I would see a difference. I like that they are plant based and wheat and gluten free. Overall I would probably not use them again as I find it easier to have a collagen tablet or mix up a nicer powder.

At first sight the packaging is really cute and easy to open. The bottles are I’m guessing recyclable and you could probably reuse for essential oils or similar. The product itself looks and smells like apple juice. I poured mine into some sparkling water as recommended and it tastes like apple juice - but I cal it vitamin flavoured apple juice. Pleasant enough to drink all of it immediately as instructed in the packaging. I am disappointed at the lack of information on the packaging with what to expect other than “for hair skin and nails” I took this everyday for 20days and if I’m perfectly honest I really haven’t seen much difference in either my hair, nails or skin. I think perhaps it might be a longer trial period to see the results. I like the fact that it is not full of sugar and it looks like they have tried really hard to ensure the ingredients are as natural as possible. I also haven’t seen this sold anywhere so that I can continue to use it. I would have liked to see how much it was. I live in a small town so it may be something I may have to travel further to purchase. If I have proof of a difference in my appearance I would definitely recommend as it is a positive experience, but I just don’t feel 20days was long enough to notice results. I couldn’t see anywhere on the packaging what the expectations were.

I have been trialling these for just under a month and I had really high hopes! They tasted good, easy to drink, but sadly I didn’t see any dramatic changes in my skin. Yes, it is a little more moisturised considering it is winter, but overall I didn’t get that nice glow or any difference in nails or hair. Maybe if this was continued for a little longer this could work, but unfortunately my experience had little results

Taste - I hated the apple flavour at first, but it was something that I got used to when it was diluted with water. Does it do what its stated to do? My nails definitely grew, but I didn't notice any change to my skin. My hair didn't seem to have as much fallout which is great. Pro's - Vegan! As a long time vegetarian, I've been unable to try the other collagen products in the market. Con's - Price point - This is way too expensive for me to repurchase. I saw it in store at my local pharmacy and was horrified by the retail price for the pack of 10.

I was selected to trial this & sent x20 shots. Absolutely beautiful packaging, the brown glass bottles can be re-used which is a huge plus! The colour of the liquid is brown/orange and I found it to have a very strong fake apple scent & flavour. I watered the shot down as it was too potent for me to drink comfortably. Scientific research has proven collagen & hyaluronic acid to be a power-healing couple and very effective for tissue regeneration. I'm sure this is the case with these shots, however the time frame & quantity allowed wasn't a long enough period for me to gauge any noticeable improvements. I would normally allow 3 months to register results.

I've always been a Dr Lewinn's fan and used to be obsessed with their skincare line. I've recently moved to Environ so I was really excited to see how these shots went and whether I'd rediscover that love for Dr L.

These shots come in packs of 10 - small glass bottles with a screw cap lid. The flavour is cloudy apple, and it's true to taste - it really does look like concentrated apple juice, and is the most delicious mid-morning drink. I tried them with normal water, on their own and in a smoothie, but by far my favourite way was added to sparkling water. There were a couple of days I forgot to take it and had it late evening, so I found having it with morning tea gave me the routine to remember to have it daily, and it quickly became something I really looked forward to.

So the main thing - results. I haven't noticed any improvement in my hair or nails, but I have always had incredibly thin nails and bleached hair so I'm not surprised. But the skin changes - oh wow!!! A week ago I had a facial appointment with my usual therapist and she commented on how amazing my skin was looking. I've noticed a subtle plumping of the skin, it just looks bouncier but the most noticeable change is that my nasolabial folds are both so much less pronounced, it really is astonishing! (I wish I had taken before and after pics)

While the price point is a little high, a bit of searching found them for around $50 at Chemist Warehouse so if I swap it out for my daily coffee, then I'm no worse off and will have better skin for it.

Dr Lewinn's - I am officially back

I was one of the lucky people to be selected for this trial over 20 days and considering I was previously taking a collagen supplement in a different form I was excited to see how the two compared.My first impression,10x cute 50ml amber coloured glass bottles packaged in a sturdy cardboard box showing that the packaging was recyclable and sustainably made.The packaging was appealing and had all the relevant information I needed to know about the shots and I was happy to see they were gluten free and dairy free which are two things I am intolerant to and always look for this information on all packaging.The shots are low sugar,low sodium,contain vitamin C ,zero saturated fats,100% vegan along with the added benefits of Hyaluronic Acid which is supposedly designed to make the skin appear more moisturised and alleviate dry skin and basically give you plump hydrated skin with less visible lines and wrinkles.The dosage is 1x 50ml shot per day and it clearly states not to exceed this,I wasn't too sure how to take the dose so I just drank it straight without mixing in to anything.On opening the bottle you get a sweet fruity hit of apple scent which was pleasant enough and didn't deter me from taking the shot.The shot was easy to consume and I found the taste a mixture of sour sweet apple flavour but I didn't find it was an awful taste,it was definitely drinkable on it's own however if diluted with water I would imagine it would be quite bland and tasteless.To be honest after being on this trial I have not noticed any difference in the texture or appearance of my skin especially in terms of looking more hydrated which was disappointing as I have always been led to believe Hyaluronic Acid was the holy grail ingredient in skincare for plump,supple and hydrated skin.My fine lines and stubborn forehead ones are still quite prominent and there was no difference to the condition of my nails and hair.For me personally I felt the shots did not do anything different then what my previous collagen supplement was doing however for someone that has never ingested collagen then they possibly would benefit from them.Overall I don't feel these collagen shots are an affordable option as they are quite pricey compared to just taking a collagen supplement in capsule form which lasts for at least 30 days,the shots only last 10 days and I felt theyreally didn't live up to all they claim but again someone that has not used any collagen products might get better results than what I did,it's a no from me I won't be switching to these collagen shots.

I was given a very generous 20 shots of Dr. LeWinn's Inner Beauty Vegan Collagen + Hyaluronic Acid Inner Beauty Liquid Shots to trial. The shots come in handy single shots which took the guess work out of measuring and I appreciated them being in glass bottles not plastic. It was easy to incorporate in my day as a nice refreshing drink in the morning. It is a cloudy apple flavour and I used sparkling water with it, and I really liked the flavour. Was a bit worried it might taste like apple cider vinegar but it was more like a fermented taste - like a mild kombucha. The first shot I had I used a lot more water and didn't like it as much but and I found only using 150ml of water was a lot better.

This is my first time using collagen, and I was really hoping it was going to work wonders. I only trialled it for (almost) 3 weeks so maybe using it for a few months would show more results. My skin and nails have been really dry and damaged this winter and they showed no improvement. But I do think I have had less hair loss in the shower - so the collagen may have strengthened my hair which is a bonus.
