Tips: Apply lip balm after exfoliating your lips to keep them moisturest.
I love a good lip scrub and always find them messy when they're in little pots so when I saw this E.L.F one I just had to buy it. The tube format makes it so easy and clean to use and you can see exactly how much you've got. I'll definitely be repurchasing this
I originally purchased this as it reminded me of the one the Body Shop used to sell (I can’t remember the name) which I loved as it was so easy to use. This product comes in a sturdy black lipstick tube and can be used whenever your lips need some exfoliation. It is definitely easy to use and smells quite nice, almost like maple syrup but I would probably not purchase this again. I have found that I really have to push down hard on my lips and then the product breaks off. I’ve also made my lips bleed while trying to get the chapped skin off as the granules are very big but not overly even. You need to rinse it off your lips after use which was actually quite messy to do as it literally sticks to the lips so you need a flannel to remove it. For the price it is a decent lip scrub but I personally think it’s worth paying a little more and buying a decent one or even making your own.
My lips have been so dry these past few weeks and my usual lip balm was just not cutting it. After reading a few reviews I went out and purchased this.
It was only $10 at Kmart. It comes in a sleek looking black lipstick case and winds up like a lippy, I really like the packaging and how simple it is to use. It smells devine, like chocolatey goodness! I rub it all over my lips a few times then use my finger to massage into any extra dry parts then wipe off with a tissue.
My lips are left feeling silky smooth! This stuff is quite amazing. I love the grittiness of it. It's so simple but so effective.
This will be a staple for me from now on. I look forward to trying the cherry one. My lips are now happy and smooth.
This is the best lip scrub I have ever used! I have naturally dry lips. So you will not ever find me without some sort of a lip balm on. However, I tend to get rough lips, specially the top one. And when I feel them not being supple and soft enough, I use a scrub. The reason why I rant that this lip scrub is the best...well...since it is in a stick form it is easy for the sugar particles to act more scrubby (is that even a real word???) than a simple sugar scrub you use with a finger. I have used this product for ages and still continue to do so cuz it is the best!
Tips: Brush your teeth first and let your lips moisten and soften a bit. Then apply this to your lips as you would a lipstick and then slowly rub in a circular motion all over the lips for about few seconds. And then use your fingers to scrub some more. Wipe the scrub off and wash your mouth. Apply a lip balm.
My #1 hate is flaking, chapped lips. Sometimes no matter how much balm or vaseline I apply, my lips just won't correct themselves. This leads to me picking at the flakes of skin, and then often to bleeding lips. Gross.
The e.l.f. exfoliator hugely helps with removing those chapped lips. I give my lips a good scrub once or twice a week, and they are left smooth for the next few days. I love that the e.l.f. product comes in a tube form, rather than needing to apply it with my finger which surely must encourage germs to grow in the sugar mixture. This also has castor oil as its base, which I've been using for years on practically every skin condition.
Finally, it tastes super delicious! I have the brown sugar flavour, and can't help but save a little for myself hehe.
So...I love me a matte lip...but I hate the look when my lips are dry and flakey. I've made a lip scrub before and have another one now...I add it into my evening tooth brushing time...but you have to get all sugary and gross to do it.
This little baby is fun, easy, clean, and tidy, and can be done anywhere. Just rub and apply like lipstick, then wipe granules away with a face wipe. Done! Applied some balm, and you have nice clean scrubbed lips...all the better for kissing hahahaha.
Tips: Pop out the bottom of the lippie for a lip gloss
I picked this up from my local Kmart and boy am I glad I did! Firstly, I'm in love with the packaging. Having a lip scrub in the shape of a bullet lipstick is not only convenient but also hygienic. The product is quiet hard and you do have to work it in, however the product does hold its shape and doesn't crumble every where. You apply it just like a normal lipstick and the sugar particles gently exfoliate your lips. Just wipe off after your done (or lick it off). I have quiet dry lips and this exfoliator helps remove all my dead skin so that my lipstick goes on seamlessly. Rubbing the exfoliator on the lips also slightly plumps them which is nice.
Tips: I would recommend using this before applying liquid lipstick for easy application and a stunning finish!
I was actually not into lip scrubs and exfoliator then ELF suddenly got an online sale which gives you free shipping upon achieving a certain amount. And so, I added this item to my cart.
When I opened it, the smell is really nice! It is also easy to apply since it's like a lipstick than the other lip scrubs that are in a pot. I like the effect on my lips because I feel moisturized right after I swipe it on my lips.
I repurchased this when ELF got another online sale.
I bought this product because I've caught the 'elf bug' after watching and reading so many different reviews on all of their other products. This was more of a miss than a hit for me. It was initially very solid- I thought when it warmed up, it would improve.
It didn't.
It went from feeling like a concrete block-style exfoliator, to collapsing in the tube into mush and getting into the bullet mechanism of the lipstick.
When you actually get it onto the lips, it works pretty well, but then you have to remove it, and it doesn't taste great either. I have others I far prefer. It may be intended for an on-the-go exfoliate, but I don't know a) who does exfoliate their lips on-the-go? And b) who would want an on-the-go exfoliator that collapses into it's packaging and becomes essentially useless after a couple of tries.
I'll stick with my much tastier and only slightly more expensive alternatives thanks!
