I was lucky enough to be chosen to trial the L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler Eye Serum. I have been using this everyday since I received it for trial.
The L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler Eye Serum comes in a shiny purple cardboard box. On the front of the box it claims that it “Replumps Eye Wrinkles”; “Visibly Reduces Dark Circles”. It also suggests that users will have “younger looking eyes in 2 weeks”. It is fragrance free and contains 2.5% hyaluronic acid + caffeine. On the front of the box, and on the side, are pictured the bottle and the unique wand design used to apply the product. The other side of the box has instructions on how to apply the product.
The serum itself comes in a 20ml purple glass bottle. The product is clear. You apply it by unscrewing the silver lid, to which is attached the “triple roller cooling massager” wand. I love the wand on this serum. It is very easy to use, and is very comfortable and soothing when massaged around the contours of the eye. The wand actually picks up a lot of product in the three ball-bearings, so I try to scrape some back off into the bottle before using it, otherwise I get too much serum around my eyes.
I have been using this product for about 2 weeks. I have not noticed a huge difference in the levels of wrinkles around my eyes, but it is not currently a huge area of concern for me. I did notice that the combination of the cooling metal massager wand, and the caffeine, did sooth my under-eye area and make it much less puffy. A good massage in the area with the wand helped me look and feel more awake in the morning. I also have sensitive skin and eyes, and the product has not irritated them.
Altogether I have enjoyed trialling this product. I think the wand alone is worth the price of the serum as it is just so nice to use around the eye area. I think my eye area looks better for having used this serum, and I plan on continuing to use it once the trail is over.
My first experience of using an eye serum was interesting! The bottle is tastefully packaged in a matching box, it has a conveniently sized silver top and the gentle hue is effective. The serum is of light consistency, it has an applicator which was quite fascinating with its encased ball bearings to aid coverage. I could not detect any fragrance.
The detailed application process was initially ‘cumbersome’ I thought, but after one day’s two uses it became very straightforward. This is a product which should last a lot of weeks, even with twice-daily treatment.
Reaction was ‘this is cold’ immediately and as I am a spectacles wearer with my aim not exactly on cue, a drip into the eye itself proved stinging and this needed flushed out as a quick wipe away was insufficient.
A brightness appears under the eyes straight away, but that was just the dried serum itself. I am not sure this product would change the skin to become younger, more elastic, more full. Eyes give a great deal away about a person and I was hoping mine would become clearer, less dark under, plumper lids.
I intend to purchase a second supply once this one is used, possibly ten days has not been sufficient time to properly see results. I would recommend it to anyone in a similar situation – with time and hope of a younger appearance!
Tips: Caution, keep out of the eye itself, a stinging is not a pleasant experience.
