If you are new to serums and skin care routines or if you just wanted to simplify your routine to save time and use less products this one if for you. This cream combines a vitamin c serum with a moisturiser and sunscreen so it covers off a few steps with one simple product. I did find when applying this went on quite white and has to be worked in a little, but it doesn't take long to sink into the skin and then you are ready to either put on make up on top or just rock the day with only this cream. This cream leaves me feeling glowy and bright and my skin looks and feels really fresh after each use. I feel like I do need to use this for longer to be able to see the full effects and how this will benefit my skin over time. It does have a slight fragrance to it, but this is quite pleasant and not overpowering. This has been a great addition to my morning routine, perfect for everyday use.

Reviews
First impression: Great packaging as it has a lock pump and not glass so it is travel friendly. It smells fresh and clean with a hint of pineapple. The texture is a non-greasy cream that is not too thick or runny.
Application: I use two pumps and that about does my face and neck. I apply it after cleansing and until my skin is dry. It is very smooth on application and absorbs nicely without feeling greasy / heavy. I had no issues with applying makeup on afterwards and that was without a primer. If you want you can add more of your own higher spf on as this is not a replacement for sunscreen.
Result: after applying, it never left a white-cast which I am always hesitant about in spf products. It made my skin look hydrated with a healthy sheen and made me feel fresh and put together. My skin felt good and not dry during the day, with or without makeup. Overall I liked this product especially as it is a 3-in-1, so it cut out steps in my routine which in result made me more motivated to do my skincare. It is great for those like me who are fussy with serum textures as some can feel greasy, oily or almost sticky. Having a serum cream is a great option.
Tips: Wash your hands after application. It’s an spf product so it will be uncomfortable if you rub your eyes later on.
This multi-product has definitely made my morning routines a few steps faster. For someone who is usually running 5 minutes late to the gym in the morning, the Pinea-C serum cream has been very helpful! While using it, I haven’t had to think about which products to use together on my face. For those who like a simple, easy to use product, I would definitely recommend it.
The product is a thicker consistency most similar to that of a sunscreen. It has a pleasant, but not overwhelming scent with hints of pineapple. The cream, once applied, absorbs easily without the greasiness that some sunscreens tend to have. A pea sized drop goes a long way, so the bottle would last quite a while, making it very economical (plus taking the place for three products in one). My only qualm would be that I wish the spf were higher, otherwise a great product that certainly makes life easier!
This product was nice as a 3-in-1 treatment/moisturiser/sunscreen. It comes in a handy pump bottle that has a lockable pump so it’s good for travelling.
It is a white coloured medium-thickness cream that spreads and rubs in easily. It did not leave any white cast on my NC25 skin. The first thing I noticed was a pretty heavy “sunscreen” tropical scent, but after using the cleanser from the same range I realised it was just the pineapple fragrance that reminded me of sunscreen. The scent does linger for a while so it may not be suitable if you are sensitive to perfume.
This product left my normal/dry skin feeling hydrated and plump with a satin finish. It was not greasy or too watery. I did get a little shiny on the T-zone after a couple of hours.
I wish it was SPF30 but SPF15 is better than nothing. I cannot comment on its ability to fade dark spots as I haven’t used it for long enough but I feel that the combination of vitamin C and sunscreen has the potential to fade and prevent dark spots.
Gorgeous modern exterior packaging that really has a greeny eco feel to it. It comes with a pump which I personally love as it allows you to control the amount youre using. This product smells divine and feels luxurious on the skin. I found it slightly oily but that may be due to my skin type. I used it under my makeup for a few days, and found my makeup was slipping a bit at the end of the day. If this was going to be used barefaced with nothing ontop, it would be the perfect product.
Tips: A few pumps is more than enough! A little goes a long way.
This completely exceeded my expectations! Let me start by saying my skin has a mind of its own - some days it is really sensitive, others dry, others completely normal. And because of this, I really haven't had much luck with your more mainstream, supermarket-stocked brands. So I was intrigued to be sent this to see how it went.
And I love it!
The big wins for me: 1. Sunscreen! I try to wear it everyday, but lets face it - most mornings I am in a hurry and just forget. This chucks everything I need in one product. Of course, I wouldn't rely solely on this for a day at the beach - it is a low SPF by NZ standards. But for everyday, it is a total win.
2. Didn't irritate my skin or leave it greasy as some SPF products do. This made it suitable for non-makeup and makeup days.
3. Smells refreshing and summery without being over powering.
4. The packaging - A small pump bottle is perfect convenience-wise. Non-messy, fits easily on the shelf, and actually looks and feels quite premium (matte-ish texture, not overly branded).
The downsides: 1. Honestly, none really come to mind that are deal breakers - I would love a higher SPF - especially for this NZ sun. That would be my only wish-list product!
Overall, definitely recommend a try!
Tips: Don't rely on this as a all day high protection sunblock - it is only SPF15 so is a great everyday sun protection product, but not for days where you are in the sun for a long time.
I wasn't too sure what to expect texture-wise from a 3 in 1 product including Vitamin C and sunscreen. The texture comes out thick like a cream moisturiser but doesn't feel heavy at all and blends away into a matte finish. I'm very happy that the SPF doesn't give a white cast, and the Vitamin C doesn't sting my sensitive skin. I love the pump applicator for hygiene reasons and it dispenses the perfect amount for one application. The scent is light, fresh and slightly fruity but goes away as soon as you apply it. I have noticed my skin becoming less dull since I have started testing it but find that I need to add an extra oil on top during the colder months. This would be perfect for someone with combo or oily skin. Overall this is a great affordable product, especially for someone dipping their toes into vitamin C for the first time as it's a nice gentle formula.
Tips: If you have very dry skin, I would recommend layering a moisturising serum underneath or following with a light oil. Also remember to wear a separate SPF on top, there's some included in the cream but not enough for full protection.
When you hear 3-in-1 serum, cream and sunscreen in one product, it sounds overpromised, and it was indeed. For the record, I did not change my toner (rosewater) just to see the difference, and I did not notice any difference for the "bright glowing skin" I was promised. It was lightweight indeed but it was only SPF15 so if I were thinking of going for a longer walk in the sun, then I felt like I needed more SPF anyways so I had to add extra sunscreen which sorta defeats the purpose of this product. Overall, not recommendable.
Tips: Make sure you apply very thin layer of this product, otherwise you'll get the white crease you tend to get with the "Sunscreen" also make sure you avoid the eye area (a bit wider than your usual for sunscreen s) because it'll somehow make your eyes sting a bit more...
I love how easy the Garnier Green Labs Pinea-C Serum Cream SPF15 is! It really is genius to have a one step product that acts as a moisturiser, serum and sunscreen! I really enjoyed the fresh smell of this product and I am glad it wasn't too fruity. The consistency is nice and light, however I did find it a bit greasy, and it does leave a 'sunscreen shine' which I am not a huge fan of. In saying that, a little bit goes a long way so this product will last a while. I do think my face feels soft and looks brighter. Would I recommend to a friend? Yes, for the simple fact that it shortens my morning routine significantly and seems to be a great hybrid product.
I was a little bit skeptical, I generally stay away from products like this for a few reasons:- a) they break me out b) I’m a pretty sensitive skin type so I often have reactions. But I gave it a tentative try- I was surprised that it didn’t break me out too badly, but I did have a slight reaction to it around the nose, it stung if putting on after a face cleanse. The sunscreen is good, always should be wearing a sunscreen but I had an issue where it would sort of travel during the day and end up in my eyes, which was stingy. Over all- I’ve definitely tried worse products. But I wouldn’t buy it for myself again. It mainly does what it says it will do, my skin did seem a little more evenly textured, but Weighing it up with the reaction I wouldn’t keep using it.
Tips: Any sensitive skin people out there may have the same reaction as me, and that’s not ideal.
