I have been using the Essano Moisturiser Rosehip Spf15 for a while now, and I have come to the conclusion that I really like it! The moisturiser is gorgeous with a subtle feeling of luxury to it, and I love knowing that my skin is protected by such a lovely product.
Firstly the Essano range is cruelty free and made in NZ, yippee! I try to always by beauty products which don't harm the bunnies, so it was great to see that Essano is ethical as well as producers of nice products. This moisturiser comes in a lovely pump pot style bottle, and the cream itself is surprisingly thick for a day moisturiser. It still smooths into the skin easily though, and doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy or oily at all. I've found my makeup sits on this foundation no problem, and it also has a very subtle scent which is absolutely lovely.
Does everything a moisturiser should, with the benefit of looking lovely on my makeup table! :)
The moisturiser is packaged in a lightweight, dark brown plastic bottle with a pump nozzle, with a rose pink label. I love the packaging of the Essano products, and are drawn to them because they are crafted in New Zealand and certified organic. They also don't use some of the top harsh ingredients like parabens, chemical sulphites and others. I picked up this moisturiser at the grocery store because it has SPF15 in it and wanted to add it into my routine. It's so hard finding daily moisturisers with SPF!
The moisturiser has a silky, light weight consistency, and is a pink lotion. It applies and smooths easily on the skin and absorbs quickly. It has a light perfume-y type smell, but not offensive. I like that it promises hydration and protection, both of which I feel it does a good job of doing, however, after using this product for two weeks, my skin continued to break out. I tried it again a few months later, hoping for a different outcome and sadly it's just not ideal for my oily skin. It's a pass for me.
