L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Night Cream Review

I love this cream. It has a gorgeous fragrance and I didn't expect it to be pink! It is a thick luxurious cream that is good for a night cream. It would be too heavy as a day cream. In a morning my skin felt very hydrated and smooth.

I have really enjoyed using this night cream. It has a thick, creamy texture which isn't oily and melts into your skin - you can almost feel it doing it's good work on your skin! It's very easy to apply, smells great and is a pretty pink colour...what's not to love! I would definitely recommend this for more mature skins like mine.

I have used this cream each night and am very pleased with it. My skin is sensitive and I have several facial areas that are red with dry skin, these have visible diminished as the days went by. My sensitive skin feels stronger and there has been no agitation to the skin which I find occurs in many anti ageing products. It has had a soothing effect.The cream is easily spread and absorbed so I can apply it minutes before going to bed and not feel like it is greasing up my pillow. L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Night Cream comes in the same fabulous generous sized jar as most of their products do.

I've used this product every night for the past few weeks and I have noticed a difference in the mornings. My skin has a bit of a glow to it and it definitely feels tightened, which is unusual for me in the mornings. Normally I give my face a good massage first thing but with this product I didn't have to do that. Application wise, I would like to have had a spatula to remove the product from the jar. The product went on fairly well but I found it took a wee while to absorb. I liked the fresh minty smell and the tingling sensation afterwards. The only downside for me was that I had to keep it away from my eyes as they were quite sensitive to the product, even though I definitely didn't apply it around the eyes. I did wake a couple of mornings to stinging eyes where the product had migrated into that area. I probably would use a product that was more nourishing at this stage of my life as well, so I probably wouldn't buy it for myself.

This night cream has lovely packaging and comes in a box. Information on the box includes active ingredients, directions for use, use by details and even recycling suggestions. It’s good to note that L’Oreal is committed to no animal testing. The cream is made in Germany and not outsourced which is another plus. The night cream is contained in a gold, square shaped, glass jar with a screw on lid. An inner white plastic lid keeps the product from drying out and a little tab on the inner lid makes it easy to remove. The cream is lightly fragranced with a subtle floral perfume. Unfortunately there is no spatula to scoop the cream from the pot making it a bit unhygienic. The cream has quite a thick consistency. At first I thought it was going to be too thick and heavy and hard to absorb but I was surprised to find that when applied as suggested, it absorbed well and didn’t feel heavy or greasy. However use sparingly as a little goes a long way. My skin in winter can get dry and dull. It changes from a normal/dry combination to increased dry patches. The cream did not leave an oily residue and I found in the morning my skin felt soft, nourished and hydrated. It was visibly fresher and brighter. As suggested I applied the cream with a circular motion. If you find it too rich put it on straight after the shower when skin is still damp and this will aid absorption and seal in extra moisture. This is a rich and moisturising product and I could definitely feel its restorative properties. My skin in the morning looked fresh and healthy. It is too soon to say if it will improve any sagging or plump out my wrinkles but I feel that with regular use my skin will continue to improve. This cream is ideal for use nightly on mature and also dry skin.

I used this night cream for about two weeks before reviewing. The 50mlglass jar comes in an attractive rose gold and pink box. The glass jar is purple and pink with a gold screw top lid. The cream is a light pink colour, thick and creamy. This night cream is targeted towards very mature and dull skin which is what I would describe mine as. It contains calcium B5 and Peony Polyphenols. The cream is easy to apply and only a small amount is needed. A strong rosy perfume, so if you don't like a strong smell you my not like this. I used this night cream in conjunction with the L'oreal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age eye cream. My skin is definitely softer and smoother and lines and wrinkles are not so noticeable. My face has a rosy glow after applying this cream. I would recommend this night cream for dull dry skin.

Upon receiving the package, at first my thoughts were the name and details on the box could have been simplified, both seem very busy. When I saw the jar, I was taken by how attractive it was with its gold look lid and pink and lilac base. The cream itself had a gentle, subtle scent and was a nice creamy pink colour. I was getting very excited to try it that evening. It says it's cooling and rosy and yes, it was. It wasn't greasy or oily, went on well and my skin lapped it up.It's cost effective, as a little goes a long way. My skin felt softer and well nourished. It left my skin looking dewy and it had a slightly flushed look for several hours after use. It makes the claim of 'the appearance of sagging and re-tightening is reduced the next morning', after my two week trial, I cannot say this was my experience, but my skin does have a lovely texture whilst using this product. The fact that this product has not been the subject of any animal testing is a big selling point for me.

Great night cream! Why? The main reason for me is that it is not super thick and needs to be dug out of the jar, and blobbed on the skin to warm up so it can be rubbed in. It's also not super greasy like so many night creams for mature skin. It's a pretty pink colour, has a lovely light consistency, a pleasant rosy scent and is applied smoothly and easily. It also does have a cooling effect which lasts for quite a while. Nice. Would I buy it again? Yes, I would as it ticks all the boxes that I like in a night cream - not thick, not greasy and does the job nicely.

I think I've found a new favourite!

This night cream is hydrating and softening and I have definitely noticed a reduction in my wrinkles. It absorbs easily and doesn't transfer any residue on to my pillow or bedding.

It's so light, I loved it enough to use it during the day as well - it's lifted my skin's radiance and leaves my skin smooth and soft for the whole day!

I think its wonderful to find products aimed at my age of skin (60) and will be looking for more Golden Age products to try - I'm in love!
