St. Tropez Purity Vitamins Face Serum

I’ll be honest I don’t normally self tan a hell of a lot, but found the serum really nice and a little goes a long way. Made my skin feel quite hydrated too. It developed over the day where I was actually completed if I had been out in the sun lately because of my ‘glow’. I know it’s not suited to even skin type but mine is normally quite dry and sensitive at times but this product worked really for me and I would use it again if I’m looking for a bit of a sun kissed glow especially since im not a huge tanner

I got this product from the beauty vault thinking it was a serum. I've had it for ages and last weekend I was running late early in the morning and pulled it out of a drawer and quickly rubbed some on before going to work. Early in the afternoon I looked in the mirror-gulp! I looked like I had slapped on foundation in the dark. Ooops.

So, the product comes in a cute spray bottle and the product sprays out in thick globs. It has a strong scent, a bit like apricot, that is ok. I learned from my first mistake to take my time and spread it evenly on my face and neck, and take it right around my hairline. It does give me a nice subtle glow and now that I've used it several times and have figured out how to use it, I like it a lot. My boss commented on my glowing skin when she saw me earlier this week so that was a great recommendation for the product. I have very pale skin so a light glow makes me look healthier. It sits easily under some BB cream or tinted moisturiser to lift the colour. It only really lasted 24 hours but that's ok too, as it's easy to reapply as long as you don't mind waiting a few hours for the colour to appear. It works as well if applied at night and I haven't noticed any staining on anything. I figured out its better for me not to add anything on top of it until the colour has come out. It is quite moisurising on its own anyway.

I read the mixed reviews decided to give it a try as results aren't same for everyone. I missed out on this trial. Firstly, there were no application instructions on my bottle so I had to Google how to apply which was disappointing. I used serum with & without moisturiser but felt it applied best with moisturiser but not sure the result was better doing it this way.

Disappointed with the colour it just wasn't dark enough, gave me a slight glow which is not what I was hoping for. Infact, it made my face look dirty.

I applied 2 pumps to my face, neck & declotage in the morn then eve mainly to build up a bit of colour but I was disappointed with end result. It didn't last long either, cleansing & toning face, morn & eve it only.lasted couple of days. It did irritate my skin, it felt a bit itchy but that happens with all tanning Products I apply to my face. It didn't break me out which was great! I felt it was way overpriced for what it is. Serum is a nice consistency and mixed well with my moisturiser. Smells ok not offensive like some self tanners.

Eventhough I washed my hands I didn't worry too much about brown hands as it doesn't tan much anyway. I will find an alternative which is a shame as I really like the St Tropez Express Tanning Mousse

So… I was already tanned when I got home , to my products waiting , as I had been on an unexpected holiday for 10 days !!!( yes I was so excited and lucky !) but what was lovely was I started using the face serum a couple of days post holiday , & it’s kept me with a lovely subtle glow on my face and still looking like I’ve just come back from holiday! And it’s been over a week now . So we all Mostly love that feeling! One thing to mention , is I do have very sensitive skin , that’s seems to hassle me extra ways with menopause…yawn yawn ! BUT I didn’t have ANY reaction in any negative way , so that was awesome people with sensitive skins I would highly recommend this. Of course do a patch test first though- i also highly recommend this to people who would prefer to tan gradually , and build up the colour you love , than doing a full deeper colour overnight as a lot of tans do ,especially nice on your face. It has a really subtle smell and feel like I can smell a tiny bit of “holiday in the tropics “smell. And my hubby said the same when he kissed my face! I also Like that It dries really nicely on my skin, and was no problem I found , after fully drying my face , I could Layer another layer , or some evening moisturiser ( not too heavy a layer ) on later in the evening if you felt like it. I am always dry these days woth “mature skin “ again yawn yawn , but also from my travels too. I think it would be awesome to take on a holiday with you. I just didn’t get mine in time.

As with the body mist the packaging is so pretty!! I was a lot worried this was going to feel super oily with the glow in the description but it dried surprisingly matte and didn’t leave a noticeable film. You can mix into your moisturiser or apply directly. I opted to go all in and apply directly. Remember to stretch it up onto your ears and down your neck area so it all blends naturally. The pump gives out a small amount so you can use sparingly and go back for more as you feel you need to. It absorbed well into the skin so I used more than one pump and I followed with my moisturiser. I didn’t notice much on my first application which isn’t a bad thing as it’s not something you want to develop too fast. I found on the 3rd day I’d reached a nice tan but could have definitely pushed it another day. As with the body spray it faded beautifully and not patchy at all. Really excited to have this throughout the winter to keep a nice sun kissed look. It’s definitely worth noting I’m cool skin toned and have freckles and this worked well for my skin tone. Happy to have a face tanner product that works well for me it’s always been something daunting for me and this product has made it so easy.

This was amazing to use I loved the simple bottle pumped out nicely and nice soft as silk application the glow it gives your skin is just amazing made me fresh and ready to go I only had to apply a small amount so the bottle will last quite a while I will definitely be using this from now on as my skin ages this gives it the bounce colour and glow I've been chasing to get back for awhile now

First impression, the packaging is appealing in colour, but very hard to read the small wording due to the colour mixes. I like the lock on the pump so that it doesn't get spilt if you are transporting it.

My skin routine is a bit sporadic. I'm good at the night stuff, but not so good in the morning, and that's where I felt this should fit in, so I put it on before my moisturiser. I was surprised by how light it was - watching it glug around in the little bottle I thought it looked like it might be a bit sticky, but it was light and absorbed really well. I can be pretty sensitive to strong smells, when I put it on I thought the "tropical" smell was going to get to me, but it wasn't too bad. It did sort of fade to a definite fake take type of smell. I was quite sparse with application the first time as I didn't want to look like a carrot, which has happened before using face tanner. But I was pleasantly surprised by the soft glow it gave me. I think you could build it, but if I went too much more I would have to change my foundation. The main bonus for me was that it didn't break me out, I was waiting for my skin to put up a protest, but it didn't. Definitely something I would like to keep on hand, but for the price point and 6 month suggested use by I'm not sure if I will use it enough. I'm glad I get to keep testing it over winter for a couple of events I have coming up.

This has to be the best smelling tanning product. It was so easy to use, I mixed it with my moisturizer and slept with it on. Woke up with beautiful natural, subtle tan. Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting that lightly bronzed glow.
