Luckily we have had a good run of weather including over the weekend to give this sunscreen a try. It did protect me from burning, however it is still spring so hard to know fully how well it protects against harsh NZ summer sun.
It comes in a small, very clinical looking, container. At first I was surprised how small it is as I am used to huge bottles. But I now see the benefit of being able to have it in my purse at all times.
The consistency is very thin and easy to apply so doesn't require a lot (so should last a while). It doesn't have that thick sticky feel of normal sunscreens, which is good especially for the face to prevent breakouts. It is fragrance free and doesn't smell like normal sunscreen but it is not scent free. It has a clinical medically type smell.
Because it is so thin it comes out very quickly and comes out of the bottle as soon as top is off (though this may stop once it is not so full). So be careful not to waste too much.
Downsides is that it isn't waterproof or sweatproof so probably better used when just hanging outside rather than at the beach or while exercising.
I gave the La Roche-Posay sunscreen a go over the weekend and I got to say I really liked it. It didn’t feel greasy on my skin like most sunscreens. Smelt good and even when getting wet didn’t come straight off. Most of all it protected me from the sun while outside most of the day. Would definitely use again and recommend
Tips: Always apply when going out in the sun
