Stopped in Kerikeri to get this especially. Heard great reviews about it. Mainly went in to get for my sons eczema which was all over his face, it cleared up immediately within two days. My son is fussy when it comes to his eczema treatment, he didn't like the smell but liked that it dried quickly and with no greasy feel. When I read the instructions it's for blemishes as well, I suffer from adult acne and helped with the redness. The staff member was really helpful and recommended the body wash which was on special, love a bargain! Love how this is a natural alternative that works instead of harsh steroid creams on young children's skin.

Tips: A little goes a long way, use sparingly
I was given a small tube of this as a trial product and wasn't sure what to expect, but I've been delighted with how well this product works. I'll definitely be buying another bottle when I run out and would absolutely recommend it to anyone with problem skin.
The first thing to notice about it is that it is a very soft, liquid gel and you only need the tiniest amount to get great results. Both hubby and I suffer from 'blind' pimples - eruptions under the skin that swell up, turn bright red and are extremely painful. We've tried lots of products over the years, with varying results, but this gel worked like a dream.
As soon as we start to see the tell-tale redness or start to feel the tender skin, we apply a small dab of this gel and within 2-3 hours, the redness is almost entirely gone, along with the swelling. Yes, it works that quickly for us!
Also, being a light gel, it absorbs beautifully into your skin allowing you to add make up over the top to cover any blemishes while it works. It smells strongly of Manuka oil, which isn't my favourite smell, but it does make it a very versatile product, perfect for both females and males.
Tips: Just use the tiniest amount - a little goes a long way and does a great job.
This gel is seriously amazing, I used it on a couple of pimply spots on my face before bed and the next day they were nearly gone, again that night and hey presto, no more spots. I haven't had to use it on any "angry/sore" spots but won't hesitate reaching for the gel. Did not sting on skin & it had no vapour so no stingy eyes either, smelt nice and not sticky. Dried only after 20 odd seconds. The texture seemed like it would be ok to apply makeup over (I haven't tried).
Tips: So versatile & I wouldn't hesitate using it on young skin or sensitive areas, one in bathroom cupboard and one in first aid kit as can be used on spots and other areas that need a little TLC and gentle healing.
I constantly suffer from acne breakouts that scar very easily. I've tried almost every acne wash or cream out there and they all dry my skin out too much that i end up having flaky skin with an oiler T-zone but this gel doesn't dry my skin at all! I haven't used any other product since discovering this.
Removes even the small lumps and red pigmentation from previous breakouts. It's strange to use at first as it has a firming finish but works very quickly (scars and trouble spots will have been significantly improved in about 24 hours or less) without harming your skin, the antibacterial properties will help with acne.
Any skin type can use this even sensitive (like me). It took me 1 year to use the full bottle and i use it twice daily all over my T-zone. I highly recommend this product, it is worth the $35!
Tips: Apply in smaller amounts and apply without rubbing in too much and apply every 6-12 hours for fater results. Wash off before applying makeup. Use after cleansing and moisturising. (Living Nature Purifying cleanser is a good pair with this honey gel).
This is current fave spot treatment. It's gentle and all-natural and helps pimples clear up a bit faster. That being said I haven't seen overnight results with this. One of my fave things about this product is it doesn't sting the pimple like some other acne spot treatments, instead it has manuka oil and manuka honey and some other gentle ingredients to deal with the bacteria and help soothe the inflammation, so you don't get dried out skin using this product. The only ingredient that's a bit strong is a tiny bit of tea tree oil. This has got to be one of my favorite products from Living Nature. I think the only downside is that it takes awhile for the gel to dry and it doesn't work miraculously on pimples overnight, but then I haven't found a treatment that works on pimples overnight either. I find that if I apply it on a smaller pimple it helps it not get bigger and to stay the same size go away in less than a week. Smell wise it smells like manuka oil but not overly strong for a pimple treatment. When I apply it on my spots I don't notice a strong scent either. I've purchased tubes of it as gifts for siblings and friends and I plan to continue repurchasing it.
Tips: Living Nature often do gift with purchase deals. I wait till there's a good gwp and then stock up on this. I personally go through the small tube pretty quick so I think the 50ml tube is value for money since you get five times as much for about $10 more.
I have used Living Nature for the past 3 months or so. I first used their Balancing Night Gel which really really really helped with my acne.
But this review is on their Manuka Honey Gel, so I will share with you my experience on that instead.
This gel works to calm the redness of my pimples (cystic and clogged pores). It works by reducing the size of the individual pimples itself, and drying them. However it doesn't work in an instant/overnight.
This gel works over time, for me, depending on the types of pimple it takes somewhere around 2 or 3 - 5 days to completely dry a pimple.
While that sounds like a longgg time, once the acne heals it doesn't pop up again on the same spot / areas around it.
That usually happens to me with other more instant acne gels. It dries one but in the next few days another one pops up around the area.
So overall I feel this acne treatment really works by doing what it says: cleansing and healing the pimple.
I have recommended this to my friend who is also suffering from acne-prone skin. I am confident she will be happy with the result as well, you just have to be patient with this one.
Tips: I would spread the gel on the pimple and area surrounding it, really message it in softly. After that, I would pile the gel on individual pimples.
In my ongoing attempts to rid my skin of pimples and acne I bought this product at Living Nature's base in Kerikeri. (By the way, the ladies there are very knowledgable and if you're ever passing through I would recommend popping in to check out their range and have a chat).
I applied the gel every night after cleansing and before moisturising and found it to be quite good at helping to soothe and heal smaller pimples - but it did nothing for the deeper pimples or acne which like to pop up rather regularly.
The aroma is quite medicinal and the texture not too 'tacky' - and it dried quickly, which is great because it means you can put your moisturiser on and hit the hay quickly :)
If you get surface pimples I'd definitely recommend you give this product a go, however I'd give it a miss if you're like me and are prone to the nastier variety of zits and acne.
This stuff is super effective at promoting the healing of pimples, I love it. The mixture of manuka honey and manuka essential oil is really medicinal but it is still quite gentle. The packaging makes it really easy to get out just a tiny bit as needed. It's on the pricey side, but the fact that I only use teeny tiny bits makes it worth it. Highly recommend!
Tips: I apply it to any trouble spots in the evening after cleansing.
