Nicely Nutritious- Not Worth the Price Tag!

If the name of this product confuses you too, then we're on the same page. It seems the Estee Lauder marketing team have strung a line of words together that sound very appealing, but that can't easily be achieved. Labelling this a lotion is beyond my conception of a lotion as it feels far more like a spritz, or at the very most, a watery essence. I would struggle to pay the RRP, and as such, would not purchase myself, or recommend to a friend.

In saying all of that, this is a nice product to use when your skin is clean and you're about to layer on some moisturisers. I feel like it delivers a freshness to the skin and prepares it for other products to follow. Other than using it for a moisturising boost during the day, this is certainly no stand-alone product.

I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my skin absorbed the 'lotion' as it feels very watery to the touch. With a few pats though, it soaks in and leaves skin looking nicely dewy.

I'm not a huge fan of fragrance in my skincare as I think it's superfluous and often irritating. However, this one smells pleasant and the ingredients seem to be gentle enough not to sting or irritate my rather sensitive skin.

Overall, this is a nice product to have on hand, and I'll continue to use it, but it isn't one that I'll be rushing out to replace. It makes you feel fancy to use it and it's very much a luxury item; if you're in the mood to treat yourself, this might be just what you're looking for.

Tips: Keeping this in the fridge would be a great way to refresh your face on a hot summer's day!

Estee Lauder Nutritious Radiant Vitality Energy

My skin is generally awful. It breaks out at the mere whiff of a scented product and don't get me started on "heavy" products.

I was naturally quite hesitant to try this range, but I was pleasantly surprised. They both smell amazing, the pomegranate smells delicious and intense, without being overpowering.

I applied the lotion with a cotton pad. I have honestly never used anything like it before so I was not sure what to expect, but it went on smoothly and made my face feel nourished and refreshed. The lotion is transparent and really 'liquidy' so you definitely need to use something to apply it with.

The packaging is very elegant and nice and bright which I like. In conjunction with the moisturiser, the lotion brightened my face, and it was noticeable the day after, with my face being significantly less oily.

I absolutely love the idea of giving my face a nutritious blast of energy and using these products made me feel really pampered.

Given the chance I would definitely purchase again.

Tips: Use in conjunction with the moisturiser for a double hit! I really feel like using them both in conjunction made a big difference to the results I saw with the products.

Interesting product??

This product is the same consistency as water, which makes it a bit hard to use. It kind of feels like a toner rather than a moisturising product but it doesn't claim to be a toner anywhere so it's a lil confusing. It's not moisturising enough to use it as your only form of moisturiser. Maybe if you were looking for a suuuuper lightweight moisturiser it could work alone. It does have a very nice smell tho, not overpowering at all. I guess a pomegranate scent?? Even though it feels like water it actually does seem to go quite far, you just need a few drops for your whole face. I feel like it would be easy to waste the product, because if you pour it on a cotton pad that will absorb a lot of the product, and if you pour it on your hand then it will run everywhere. I ended up pouring it directly on my face, pressing the opening of the bottle against my skin. The bottle it comes in is really nice though, and the lid is weighted and not cheap feeling at all. I think the product is definitely refreshing and does give a slight energising feeling for sure! I have oily skin that is also dehydrated and I get break outs. The product didn't break me out, it didnt make my skin any oilier than other products but it didnt make it less oily either. I will get my mum to try it next, as it might be more appropriate for more mature skin

Tips: Don't pour it into your hands, because its like water so it will go everywhere. Use a cotton pad or pour it directly onto your face instead

Estee Lauder Nutritious Radiant Energy Lotion

I'm going to start off this review by stating upfront that I wasn't entirely sure what this product was exactly but my guess is that it is similar to a toner. I could be living under a rock but I haven't come across anything with a similar name before so there was a slight bit of confusion to start off. There were no directions on the bottle and the name states it is a radiant energy lotion? That to me could mean many things? Anyway I went ahead and have been using in place of a toner. I would agree with the claims of hydration but it did nothing for my skin as far as improving radiance. The smell is nice, it left my face a little sticky feeling afterwards. Otherwise it wasn't really anything spectacular, I don't feel my skin is better off for using it for nearly two weeks now. The packaging is nice, a red bottle with silver lid and good quality as one would expect from this brand but the packaging is probably my favourite thing about this product overall. Definately be careful to avoid the eye area, it can burn a little in those sensitive areas.

Estee Lauder Nutritious Radiant Energy Lotion

I really enjoyed this product! It’s a relatively watery product (slightly thicker than water or a toning product) and I found it to be quite easy to apply. It says that you can use this with a cotton pad, however I found that spashing a little into clean hands before applying directly to my face worked a little more effectively and wasted less product. While not quite long enough yet to say if the effects are long-lasting, I found that my skins was more hydrated throughout the day when I used this product before my moisturiser, and looked brighter even under make-up. This lotion was comfortable to wear under moisturiser and full make-up, and I didn’t notice that the extra step/hydration added any extra oiliness to my (very combo) skin. Overall I really enjoyed this lotion and would definitely recommend!

Tips: I found this easier to apply by splashing a small amount into clean hands and patting directly onto my face. You could also use a cotton pad to apply this. Apply after your toner and before your moisturiser.

Estee Lauder Nutritious Radiant Energy Lotion

This product has a luxurious pomegranate fragrance consistent in this range.

Almost like a high end micellar water. Leaves the skin feeling youthful, refreshed and hydrated with a plumping effect.

The packaging is gorgeous and very generous in size.

Most likely apealing to younger women who like a dewy and glowy natural look.

Has a high end feel with a high end price. At around $80 per bottle and sold at most high end beauty department stores, it is not the most afordable but does feel amazing on the skin.

Tips: Best used as a duo with it's sister creme in the pomegranite nutritious range.

I found using a cotton pad to apply to the skin works with this product best.

Refreshing !

The description of the product doesn't give too much away and the claims for this product (and the water gel creme) are pretty much the same but can't say I didn't enjoy using it to provide that little boost of hydration and refreshment after the water gel creme. As with the water gel creme, the product does have a slight scent to it. Not as noticeable upon application when dabbed onto the skin, like the water gel creme during application. Only really, if you take a sniff directly from the bottle. Honestly, I don't have too much more to say about this product as the claims are similar to the water gel creme and not sure if it contributed to the hydration of the dry patches other than giving the skin a refreshing feeling after the water gel creme application (but not 100% sure if I have used it the correct way anyway). I think the lotion fresh moist would work really well as a mid-day or after-work pre-plan refresh for the face to give that extra boost! I think I will use the products individually and see if it proves the claims because I think most of the work/hydration is given by the water gel creme. But I've only used it for two weeks so, it's likely not a sufficient enough time to give a verdict and would have to use the products individually. I have also not changed my cleanser routine so, would definitely have to say that this product may have contributed to the extra boost of hydration needed to clear the dry patches. Over the past two weeks, I have only used probably about 2-3% of the product and I have been using it twice a day too, dispensing about 3-5 drops per use on a cotton pad. I tried using my fingertips but found that it didn't give an even application.

Tips: Haven't personally done this but if you are after a skin refresh in the middle of the day (or a quick refresh after work before plans), could possibly use with fingers to dab to give a refreshing feeling.

I would also place about 4-5 drops on a cotton ball or pad while applying. I found it was more easier to manage/apply when doing it this way, although they do suggest/recommend fingers.

Highly recommended

This product is definitely moisturising. I love how it feels on my skin every morning, it helps moisturise my dry skin on a difficult weather. I brought this product with me to the Philippines where I spent a few days holidaying the tropical country. It gives me a natural glow. The scent is tolerable (as I am not a big fan of fragrant essence and lotion). Yes, it may be quite pricey being a high-end cosmetic product but it delivers excellent quality. Estee Lauder never fails to amaze me.

Not my usual?!

I hadn't used a product like this before so I wasn't too sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised.

The Nutritious Radiant Vitality Energy Lotion is a water-like consistency that can be applied just with fingertips or with a cotton pad. I tried both, and cotton pad is definitely much easier although fingers work fine too! I guess because its a liquid and not a cream or gel, I didnt see how it could be hydrating, but it is! I even tried alone in the evening (without applying moisturiser after) to give it a real test and my skin felt normal in the morning, not tight or dry. Short term this product has hydrated my skin and im looking forward to seeing the long term effects!

The packaging is a tall, sleek red bottle which looks great against my neutral bathroom! The lid screws off completely ready to pour onto your cotton pad or into the palm of your hand. This product is a bit more expensive than what I would normally use HOWEVER a little really does go a long way and I can see this product lasting me a few months, so it is good value.

Tips: I used this alongside the Nutritious Radiant Energy Water Gel Creme.

Radiant Energy Lotion

The packaging is quite nice and sturdy, although it feels a little bit cheap considering the price. The amount of product is definitely more than enough, and it definitely feels like a little bit goes a long way.

The scent is quite fresh and fruity, and almost reminds me of soap, but it isn't unpleasant. It can flow out quite quickly if you tip it on the wrong angle so it pays to be a little careful when wetting a cotton pad with it.

It feels very soothing on the skin, and I definitely noticed an improvement in my skin while using this in the duo. However, I did notice my makeup went oilier a lot faster when using this in the morning as well as at night, so I personally prefer using this before bed and using a different moisturiser underneath makeup.

Besides that, I definitely like this product and would recommend it. It's a shame that it's being discontinued because I think it would work well for most people with normal to dry skin types.
