Footcare Solettes Review
These shock absorbent foam half-insoles by Footcare have a unique anti-bacterial ultra-fresh formula that kills odour-causing bacteria.
The shock absorbing foam cushions the ball of the foot. Solettes also absorb perspiraton, keeping feet dry all day long, and prevent slipping and friction. 2 pairs per pack - 1 black, 1 beige.

I received two sets of Footcare Solettes in black and also in white. The black ones were perfect for my black ballet flats that I was planning to wear for my Daughters 5th birthday party. They come with an adhesive so they can stick onto the soles of your shoes without slipping and I was actually surprised at how strong it was and how well they held in place.
On the day of the party I was on my feet all day organising everything and also it was raining which is always hideous for letting water in if you're wearing ballet flats and go past a puddle. The Solettes have an antibacterial thingy in them so my feet didn't stink (LOL) at the end of the day and I didn't have sore feet after the long day.
I would use this product again. After checking out the website I also discovered that they do a heel shield to stop your feet blistering so I think I will grab a pair of those too!
I have always been someone who is on their feet constantly, my feet can stand it until the last few months, even standing for half an hour hurts the pads of my feet. I thought it was because my shoes were wearing out until I purchase a new pair of shoes. It wasn't my shoes, it was the pads on my feet.
After talking to the woman at Number one shoes she had recommended these. Applying these to my shoes was very easy, and they stick very well. I noticed a difference the first time I used these, my feet didn't ache so quickly and I could stand on them for long periods of time like I used to. I have these in 2 pairs of my shoes and I notice a big difference when I wear shoes without the Solettes.
I will be purchasing more to fit all my shoes, they make a huge difference.
These actually came at a good time, Id just brought some new high wedge shoes and they are a little hard on the pad area of my feet. Initially I was worried that they would feel to thick, but once on you barely feel them. I do love that they come in a 2 pack and 2 colors and for that price are super affordable. I did however place them in my shoes before I read the back, and placed them the wrong way around I tried to remove them and turn around but the double sided tape started to rip the solette so Ive just left them. I dont feel it makes much of a difference. They have made my shoes 10x more comfortable so yes they do absorb the shock well and help with the slipping. As for the absorbing perspiration Ive yet to wear them long enough to determine.
Tips: Place in shoe first without removing the double sided tape, as once they are down they do tear when trying to remove.
I wore these in my trainers to coach netball and I was extremely impressed! When I was running around it felt like I was floating on air they were so comfortable. The best bit was when I removed my trainers, I didn't get that horrible 'trainer pong' :) Don't know how long that will last but for now, I'm happy!
Tips: Check and adjust to fit the shoe/ trainer you are wearing for maximum comfort!
I was lucky enough to receive a packet of Footcare Solettes for review.
They come in two colours per pack - black and beige - which is handy as it means you can use them with any shoes. The peel back is sticky and strong and stopped the inserts from shifting in my shoes. However, on one of the beige ones the whole sticky tape came away as I was peeling it, rather than just the cover of the tape, rendering that insert useless. I'm not sure if mine was just faulty but the other three inserts were fine. The inserts are lightweight but effective, they definitely stopped the pain in the balls of my feet.
However, they have to be positioned perfectly. I ended up with a blister under one big toe. The inserts can be cut to size but I found it difficult to cut perfectly. They were also a little too thick for my liking, making one shoe uncomfortable to start with until they had molded to the shape of my foot. This took a little too long (at least a day) and I ended up getting frustrated and feeling like my foot was cramped.
They remove easily without leaving any sticky residue.
I live the fact they are smell-absorbing and the price point means you can give them a go without breaking the bank.
Tips: Position them perfectly!
The pack came with one set of beige and one of black , which was handy . I had tried them in my sneakers which werent very effective , then I tried a pair out in my black high heels , extremely comfortable and soft would recommend for long nights out in heels ideal!
So, I received my Footcare Solettes thanks to Beauty Review, but the RRP price being only 3.99 means that grabbing a packet of these inserts definitely won't break the bank. I love the look of high heels, but do find that after a few hours of wearing them, I start to get grouchy as my feet hurt. Therefore, I was pretty keen to find something to relieve the pain. This product comes in an easy to open packet, and contains two pairs of solettes, one cream and one black. As I say, that's only $3.99 for the lot (around $2.00 a pair) so already I felt that I couldn't be loosing money if I bought the product. But despite this, I still wasn't blown away when I actually wore them in my heels. The solettes are made of latex foam and covered in a firm fabric material, with small holes in both. They are advertised as washable in warm soapy water, which I tried, but which did seem to warp the shape of solette, making it curl up as it dried. To attach them to your shoes, you peel the covering off a a small strip of tape of the back, and place them in the toe-end of your shoes. If needed, you can trim them down to fit your shoes size, however, personally having gigantic feet anyway, I did not find this necessary! Be careful as you position them, as I found that once they are stuck down, they are not very easy to lift up again without ripping the tape off the back of the foam. Also, because the tape is only in the middle of the solette, I found that as I walked, I tended to lift up the ends a little, which was quite annoying. To stop this, in the future I plan to put a bit more double-sided tape around the edges. Walking in them was more comfortable than walking without; the foam fabric covering stayed dry and it was certainly easier to walk for longer in them. However, I still got a bit of pain on the heels of my feet, so I will probably get another cusion for that area if I need to wear heels for an extended period of time. I felt that they helped a bit, but did not stop all discomfort. Would I use them again? Probably, until I find anything better for the price. They were good, but they certainly were not a 'wonder product' or anything. Still, for some relief and protection, these solettes will do just fine.
Tips: Apply some extra double-sided tape to the edges of the solette before you put it in your shoe, just to keep the edges firmly on the bottom of the shoe, and not moving with your feet.
I used to work in a shoe shop which is how i came across these. Walking around all day on a concrete floor the pads of my feet would become so sore i would get shocks of pain running through them. I decided to purchase a packet of the beige ones of these. I instantly felt relief after inserting them into my shoes. Such a small piece of padded fabric can make such a difference. These solettes have an adhesive side to stick to your insole and can also be cut to fit if needed.
Tips: Make sure to place them correctly as they can be hard to remove
This product claims that they are shock absorbent foam half-insoles and they have an anti-bacterial ultra-fresh formula that kills odour-causing bacteria. This claim is correct, my shoes didn't get smelly while using these and I tested them out everyday for about a week. It also claims on the product that they cushion the ball of the foot, yes that claim is also true, however they did nothing for the arch of my foot, infact probably made the arch more uncomfortable. As far as slipping and dryness goes,my feet did not slip or get sweaty. so they were true about that claim. There are 2 pairs per pack - 1 black, 1 beige which is good if you have different colored shoes. I did expect a little more from this product, although it is true to it's claims anyway. The directions on the package says to trim to fit if needed. However, I felt like they needed to be made bigger and longer for wider feet like mine, considering you can trim them to size if needed anyway. The positives about this product are: Yes it stayed true to its claims, and the balls of my feet did feel more comfortable in my high heels that I wore for 10 hours straight at work. I also tried them in flat shoes and they felt a little strange but the balls of my feet were till cushioned nicely. The negatives: They could of made this product better, such as making them supportive for the arch of your feet, and making them wider.
I probably wouldn't go out and purchase, although the price is very good at $3.99 so it is good value for money.
Tips: Make sure you position these right before sticking them down properly because it will make a huge difference with how they work. They feel better when worn with heels too.
