It actually sorta worked

When I first put this mask on, it burnt my face. So much that I had to take it off my cheeks. I was terrified. I had no clue what to expect. I'd never used a face mask before. I let it sit for the recommended 15 mins (except on my cheeks) because it stopped burning after a while. Anyway, after I took it off, my face was so soft. Like incredibly soft. Softer than it had ever been. My skin is usually either really dry or really oily. It was great. I'm not sure if I want to use this product again for fear of a burning face but I really want my skin to feel soft again. We'll see where life takes me.

So Not For Me

I bought a wee sachet of this from Farmers, when I was between full size masks, as soon as I put it on I had to rinse off in a minute as I started to have a reaction to it, I was lucky I didn't react really badly, its the curse of sensitive skin. Unfortunately due to this I can not recommend

Tips: If you have sensitive skin maybe look for a gentler option

Ouchies

I really wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this product, but I bought this before I signed up for BR. I like to think I have a fairly high pain tolerance, but this mask really tested my limits. I don't have sensitive skin and I have never reacted to any other product or food before.

I love mud masks so I picked this one up from Farmers because it was quite affordable. I wish I had only bought a sachet of it to trial it, but I purchased an entire bottle. It's a khaki muddy colour which is exactly what I thought it would look like. The formula is quite thick and it doesn't smell offensive at all.

I first applied this mask one night after I had removed my makeup. It was okay for the first few minutes, but after a while it began to burn like nothing else I have ever experienced. I tried to leave it on but it kept getting worse and worse. I did manage to leave it on until it dried, and after it dries the pain goes away.

After I washed it off my face did feel smooth, but not in a good way. It was shiny, raw and red. I would say it really did draw out all the nasty stuff but it removed all the good things that your skin needs as well.

Reading the other reviews below it is clear to see that I'm not the only person to have a bad experience with this mud mask. I've heard that some of the other products that this brand sells are good. If I was to purchase something else from them I would definitely trial it with one of their sachets first.

Glamglow and Origins Dupe

Desperate for a mask that would fix my acne prone skin, and with no time to order online, I popped into Farmers and picked up the 100ml tube of the No Time to Shine mask. With Kaolin Clay to pull out impurities, this mask was bound to minimise blemishes. I wasn't expecting a miracle, as my skin was a mess.

The product comes in an easy to squeeze green tube - nothing fancy but with the ability to cut it open for every last drop. The mask itself is a thick, lumpy green, that is quite dry and doesn't spread easily over the face. It applies in a thick layer, that dries after 5-10 minutes. This mask is very, very cooling - it feels like you have a breathmint on your face. This mask isn't for the sensitive.

For $14.99, and 100ml worth of product, this mask is good. My skin is left oil free and my skin appears tighter. But it's not for me. Looking away now if you don't want to know the details of pimples. Any large blemishes are left weeping after using this mask - as it really does pull the puss and gunk to the service. This means time spent with a tissue, drawing the rest out of these now open blemishes. Think of a potent spot treatment being applied to your entire face - one that draws out not dries up. Whilst this is exactly what some are looking for, it is not what I want my face to look like. Without the mask my blemishes will never get to this point. They will eventually start shrinking, rather than oozing puss. It's gross, I feel that it only spread bacteria, and these blemishes have really, really scarred. Plus it is no use putting makeup on them after using this mask. In regards to the oil, my skin is certainly oil free. But in my opinion, stripping the skin of oil is only going to make it produce more the next day. This review will let you know whether it is what you are looking for, but it is not for me.

Tips: This mask is available in a smaller packet. If you are unsure, try this first.

For that fresh burnt face...

I had seen a lot of hype around this brand and I was super interested to try it. I found a 2 pack of sachets at Farmers for less than $5 and so I thought I would get one. I tried it later that week when I had no face on and to say I was disappointed is an understatement.

The color of this was was a muddy green, which I was expecting. It smells average and I started to put it on my face. It smoothed out really nicely but it wasn't long until the burning started.

They say on the back that a mild tingling is normal but what I experienced was not normal. My face felt like it was on fire. I've been all kinds of burnt before but this was something new and I hated it. I was nearly in tears, but I tried to soldier on so I could see if it would ease up. Another minute past and I knew I couldn't keep this on my face anymore. As I didn't let it dry, I didn't see any of the effects of the product.

I practically doused my face with cold water, and the burning sensation slowly went away as I took the awful mud off. My face remained red for at least an hour after I had taken it off. Maybe not everyone has this experience but as I did, it's getting an awful review. I bought an orange sachet to try but after this experience I am far too scared to try the other. 10/10 would not repurchase.

Too harsh for my skin

This was too harsh for my skin. I have combination skin that is pretty sensitive, reactive and very acne-prone. I thought that this would be a good mask to deal with breakouts and excess oil, but unfortunately it was too strong/drying for my skin and left it very red and irritated after I rinsed it off. I would only recommend this mask if your skin is very resilient and not sensitive at all, and then it could be a great treatment.

Wow that really burns!

I had purchased the sample pack which has 2 samples of the No time to shine mud mask, but after trying the first sample, I wont be doing the second one. At the end of last year I had heard of this company from a friend on Instagram, the company had sent me a few things to try and since they were great products I went into Farmers to repurchase more to try. This would have to be the most uncomfortable mud mask I had ever tried.

When you open up the sample there is a generous amount of product, the smell from the mask is quite overpowering but not in a good way. It smells like rotten feijoas, after I push aside that it is a little smelly, I apply this to my face and my neck. On the back it has instructions to leave it on for 10-15 and that a tingly sensation is normal, so the waiting game begins.

After a minute I can feel this hot feeling, I think this is ok so I continue to wait it out. A minute after that, all of the pimples I have feel like they're burning, ouch it is so uncomfortable but I still try to wait this out. Going on 5 minutes I couldnt handle the burning sensation that was all over my face, as soon as I begun washing it off it was such a relief to remove it from my face. My pain tolerance is high and I normally get a thrill out of things that come with a bit of pain, but this mask was horrible. After I washed the mask all off I was left with a red face, and the pimples I had looked very inflamed. I could only imagine how much damage this mask could've done if I had left it on for the whole 15 minutes.

I wont repurchase this, I have binned the second sample.
