This cleanser was not what I expected. I was excited to see my skin really full of moisture and it did the exact opposite. It actually made my skin really dry. I used it every second day after this due to it making my skin feel really tight. Even after adding the serum it was still quite dry. I am so disappointed as I was super excited to try this product. There are some good things about it. I did like the smell as it was a nice watermelon scent. I liked the consistency of the cleanser as well. I really liked the packaging as well. Really cute colourings and would go well in the bathroom. I would use this possibly every second or third day and alternate with another cleanser. I have combination skin so it might work better with normal skin.

Tips: Use a heavy moisturizer after use. Make sure you also use sunscreen!
Usually Garnier really impress me with their products, They do what they say they’re going to do with no frills or fanfare, but I just don’t love this one. It’s by no means bad, and it is a nice cleanser however I thought it would do more considering they’re branching out to include things like Hyaluronic acid. The branding was “milky” however I felt it was more of a gel or cream cleanser, the consistency was quite thick and I struggled to get it out of the lid. The smell was pleasant and the product size was very generous. I will say that a little goes a long way so you would get a lot of washes out of this, BUT I often felt like I needed to double cleanse, which I personally do not usually need to do. Following use, I did feel nice and hydrated which is a bonus. Overall this product was not bad, but did not wow me like I had hoped. It cleanses as it says but I did not notice any increases smoothness or change to fine lines as it implies.
Tips: If using to remove makeup, be prepared for a double cleanse.
This cleanser comes in a generous and sturdy tube with a strong flip lid, I found the packaging pleasing. The consistency of the cleanser comes out similar to thick clear jelly, however once it has contact with water (i.e. - once you massage it onto damp skin) it turns into a white milky texture.
You don't need a lot for this milky cleanser to do its job! I found it effective in cleansing my face with or without makeup on, easy to rinse off with just your hands or with a face cloth.
Afterwards, my face doesn't feel too 'stripped' or tight, it feels clean and hydrated as the product claims to do. I think it's a good choice for the colder season seeing as it's designed for dehydrated skin.
I don't think I used it for long enough to notice any difference to my fine lines but overall I was happy using this cleanser. It's one that would last you awhile and would be good value for money, if you don't need all the bells and whistles with your cleanser. Would recommend for younger or normal/combination skin.
Tips: Everyone is different in how rich a lather they need to work up in their facial cleanser, but I found that a little goes a long way once mixed with water on your skin. :)
Consistency of the product is clear and thick. Application for the product itself is easy to apply and spreads over the face quickly. Fragrance smells like watermelon it’s a very subtle smell. Coverage a small amount of the product is enough to cleanse the face. Usage the product comes in a large squeeze tube 130ml, apply to wet face and gently rub into skin. Price is affordable under 10 dollars which is affordable for a cleanser. Packaging is basic but it’s straight to the point so it’s not confusing for the consumer to understand what the product is about. Results I double cleanse once to remove make up and a second time to ensure my face is clear. I wouldn’t say I noticed my face being plumper or fine lines being removed. The product does leave a clear skin feeling to the face some days it did feel like it upset my skin more than others but most of the time it didn’t trigger sensitivity. Would I recommend this product it’s ok for a basic cleanser but I wouldn’t call it amazing so I wouldn’t recommend this product to a friend.
First up, the scent of this product was refreshing, however one that I did get a bit sick of. This cleanser lathered well and did remove my make up. I didn’t really notice any difference in my skin during the short term use of this product so I probable would not change the products I already use.
Tips: Double cleanse for make up
Has an almost gel-like texture, and smells faintly watermelon under the floral. Pleasant without being overbearing.
I use a silicone facial cleansing brush for my face, this cleanser does clean my face well and removes makeup, without leaving me overly dry and tight. My face feels almost plump. The smell doesn't cling to the skin after.
No dramatic difference to fine lines that I can see within the short trial time, though my forehead lines might be a wee bit softer.
Tips: Pimple patches won't stick onto the skin straight after washing, you will need to dry out the area separately in order to apply them.
As far as skin care goes, this is one that's within my current budget at around 10.00 (chemist warehouse) so was looking forward to seeing if it would work for me. I liked the smell and although it was quite strong smelling, it reminded me of other garnier products and was quite pleasant. The texture although quite milky, lathered nicely and I felt like it cleansed my face well. My skin felt nice after and not at all dry and depleted like some harsher cleansers. My skin does feel clearer amd hydrated however not sure if this is from the just the cleanser alone. Overall I'm fairly happy with this budget friendly product and would likely chose again. Love the fact it's been tested on all skin types amd is great for sensitive skin. Also it's vegan so even better!
Tips: Definitely use with the hyla-melon serum cream for better results
So I had to try this face wash when I realized I actually cannot find the organics lemongrass one anywhere anymore. I wasnt as happy with this one as the organics one due to the smell, this one smells more chemically. I did like how milky it felt on my skin though and it cleaned well. Didn't leave me with dry skin.
This cleanser did exactly what it was set out to do. It removed my make up, even my stubborn mascara, but more importantly it didn't feel like it dried my skin, like many other cleansers do. My only 'issue' (it's not even an issue) was that it calls itself a 'milky' cleanser, after using it for a over a week and shaking it well, it's defiantly a gel, no issue for me, but milky suggests more of a creamy texture? Or is that just me? I haven't used it long enough to see if it has 'plumped' my skin, but my skin does feel more hydrated :)
Oh man, I really wanted to love this... The name implies a milky formula, but it's definitely a gel formula that kinda liquifies when you mix it with water. Gel based formulas are best for oily skins as they can be quite drying, which is how I found this cleanser. I didn't find it hydrating at all! In fact, sometimes after using it, my skin would look flaky. I don't even have dry skin normally, I'm a combo/oily t-zone.
I do like the scent though. It smells like my car air freshener haha, but a lot more mild. It is an artificial melon scent, so if you don't like artificial scents, you probably won't like this.
Tips: Avoid if you have dry or dehydrated skin. Follow up with a super hydrating cream.
