Garnier Green Labs Retinol-Berry Routine

The cleanser is a really gentle cream cleanser, quite a watery texture and not foaming at all. I found that it worked better if I used a 'harsher' cleanser first and then used the cleanser as a second cleanse. I did find myself using 3 - 4 pumps as it didn't feel like it stretched very far. I think this would be a great option for people with sensitive skin, it was completely fragrance free and didn't leave my skin feeling too tight or dry. Teamed with the Retinol-Berry serum my skin was left feeling smooth and moisturized. Most of the moisturisation came from the 3 in 1 serum. I found the 3 in 1 serum to have a great texture, not too thick, and absorbed surprisingly quickly. I don't think I noticed much difference in my skin during the trial, I did go a little too hard at the beginning and didn't take notice of the 'every other day' instruction as I am already a regular retinol user and thought that my skin would be used to it already. I'm looking forward to continuing with the serum but for me the cleanser just didn't do much for my skin. Both bottles had really great branding, super informative yet simple. I liked that the serum was in a glass bottle.

I've used Cream Cleansers for years and tried high end Retinol products in the past, so super keen to try this Garnier Green Labs duo of Super Berry and Retinol. With Claims including nourished and comforted skin, reduction in fine lines, and reduced dark circles, suitably tested for all skin types including sensitive.

The packaging for both products is green and white in colour with Garnier's typical informational style, with a green colour cream cleanser. Both are pump bottles, making use nice and easy. The Fragrance-Free Serum Cream's key ingredients are Retinol, and Superberry Acai and Schisandra extracts, while the Cream Cleanser is Amino & Super Berry.

With both products, a small amount was all that was needed. Both have lovely, silky textures. The cleanser works super well without drying skin, and does indeed leave it feeling more nourished, with a lovely base for applying the Serum Cream, which absorbs well without any stickiness, and feels lovely and cool. As an eye cream, it doesn't feel too rich at all. I loved that I didn't have to use an additional serum or eye cream. I didn't experience any tingling or redness as Retinol can do. After 2 weeks, my skin feels more nourished, comfortable, and a little patch of dry, flakiness has disappeared. I haven't noticed any reduction in fine lines, however under-eye appears smoother. Skin is nicely hydrated. As a duo, my skin feels and looks more comfortable and nourished, they are both lovely to use.

I have really enjoyed trying these products! The face cream wash is really nice on the skin, I haven't had any issues with dry skin since using these products. The serum cream at night is really good, makes my skin feel real soft when I wake up, and I'm noticing a change in the fine lines. The packaging is really good with great information on how to use them and other tips. Will definitely be buying these products from now on.

Getting started with the cleanser is a good way to start with removing the day of makeup and impurities and resetting the face. A small amount is all that is required. Remember if you are new to retinol your skin could tingle slightly. Next up is the 3 in 1 serum cream. This is great as it combines an eye cream, serum and moisturiser in 1. A small amount is all that is required and avoid eyelids and lips. Again with retinol your skin could tingle. Ensure you remember to wear sun cream daily. Great combo of 4 steps into 2 bottles. Smells OK, nothing too strong.

I like that both the cleanser and serum come with pumps as it ensures you get enough product without wasting any.

While the cleanser does not lather a great deal, it provides good coverage of the face without needing to use excess product, and did a good job of clearing away the days makeup.

Two to three pumps of the serum was enough to provide enough product for good coverage of the face and neck. There is little to no odour with either product which made for a pleasant experience.

I started using this cleanser and serum when my skin was at its worst, with breakouts, redness and dryness. They were not only super gentle on my skin, they also noticeably soothed it within a very short period of time.

I will definitely continue to use this regime as I have already seen such great improvements in my skin.

Great all round cleanser and a retinol cream for nights, but for it to be a complete routine I’d like to see a day cream, specially designed to be used in the mornings after this retinol night cream. High spf and ceramides and peptides to strengthen the skin would be lovely! I just really think this is missing for it to be called a routine. These 2 products are however of great quality, not scented and easy to use, instructions on the retinol cream are clear and easy to follow, packaging designs are best I’ve seen from garnier so far, I hope they keep it up. Price point is still more on the affordable side, although Garnier going cruelty free and more natural we can expect price increases and it’s completely fine in my opinion. Definitely worth a try, I’m glad I could give these products a good go, now I’m just hoping for some long term results for the retinol to kick in and erase my fine lines and wrinkles completely.

My feelings about the Garnier Amino-Berry cleanser and Retinol Berry Serum Cream combo.

This was a very pleasant easy nighttime routine. The cleanser rinsed off easily and the serum super eady to apply. My skin is pretty good but aging has left it a bit dull and I do have fine lines around the mouth and a few fine crows feet..... I can't say they have disappeared but my skin texture and appearance has definitely improved. My skin looks plumper and for me having hated cleansers because they left my skin feeling tight this one definitely didn't. I will definitely continue to use both products. As far as value for money it's so good an inexpensive product that delivers.

If I have one dissapointment I personally feel the packaging let's the product down. Too me the product is far better quality than the packaging suggests, too me it looks more like a pharmacy medication than a beauty product.

I used the cleanser and serum cream together as part of the Retinol Berry Routine. The products complimented each other nicely and weren't too overpowering, i.e., they didn't strip the skin of moisture. Together they made my skin feel soft and smooth but I didn't notice any reduction in fine lines or dark circles as mentioned on the packaging.

I did react slightly to the retinol serum cream as I have very sensitive skin, so I probably won't purchase it in the future, but I did like the cleanser and will probably keep using it and buy it when it's on special.

I enjoyed the retinol the most of the two products in this routine. After trialling them as a routine I probably wouldn't but them again. The cleanser was not quite cleansing enough for me but I did enjoy the retinol even though I didn't see massive results after 2 weeks. Probably a great routine for people with very sensitive skin that don't want a harsh cleanser and a gentle introduction to retinol.
