This is a good little serum for those who have sensitive skin, as it is fragrance free and you can use it all over your face including eyes! It's quite a thick formula so I didn't feel the need to moisturise afterwards. It also doesn't absorb into the skin, it kind of just sits on top hence the need to skip moisturising - great for lazy girls like me! It didn't smell like anything, so great for those sensitive to fragrances. When I put the serum on my eyes I didn't have any reactions which is a good sign. I really liked that the bottle felt solid, and doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. It says that fine lines would be visibly reduced and that under eye skin would appear well rested - within a week! If only! I for sure cannot say that this happened to me, in fact, I didn't notice any difference, but I will keep using this and hope it will just take a bit longer for this to reverse the signs of aging :)

Reviews
I think I was expecting more from this product given its strong claims for noticeably reducing fine lines in one week. It definitely hasn't had any effect on my fine wrinkles yet, maybe with more use it will but it did not live up to that claim. It also hasn't left my skin feeling moisturised as its 24 hour moisture claim would suggest and I have ended up using a night moisturiser after it.
After using the berry cleanser - this was fun to use! It is apparently a 3 in 1 product (who knows if that’s legit) boasting to be an all over serum, eye and night+ retinol cream all in one product. Here’s the catch: I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how much retinol is in this product. It is probably super important to include this detail due to the impact retinol can have on skin appearance if not gradually built up! Could potentially mean less sales for this product. It claims to be great for first time retinol users so I’m guessing the content is minimal? Garnier also boasts to see decrease in fine lines, eye bags etc over 1 week. Ya girl is over here still holding her gucci bags and sporting fine lines. I have been watching them meticulously due to this claim! Either way… I’d buy this product again but it’s not a life or death holy grail discovery. It really seems like just another brand is jumping on the retinol/ hyaluronic skincare bandwagon due to the cultural shift towards skin over makeup.
Tips: Farmers, The Ordinary $12 retinol works better & is cheaper. I have enjoyed, and will continue to enjoy, using this product as a night cream. But too oily/ heavy for a morning application! For the price? Could find something better but can see this becoming a lazy girls staple.
Really wasn’t sure what to expect with this product with it being a 3 in 1 but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it might have been really heavy feeling on the skin with it being a moisturiser AND a night cream but it really wasn’t, it was super lightweight and absorbed into my skin really quickly. I definitely woke up with a brighter complexion. I went a little too hard at the beginning (not following instructions and skipping the ‘every other night’ advice on the box) so will definitely be trialling it a little longer to see if it smooths out my fine lines. At this stage, of 10 days use I would say that I have noticed a whole lot of difference just yet. I did find that it left a slight sticky residue on my face (and hands after applying) but nothing I couldn’t live with. From the packaging you can see that Garnier have stated that they will be taking a commitment towards greener beauty which is a big tick from me. The packaging is simple yet eye catching and really informative. I really liked that the bottle was glass and can hopefully be recycled.
Tips: Definitely follow the instructions for every other night during the first week, it really packs a punch!
I have been using this product for a couple of weeks now. The first week I used it every night and although my skin has used retinol regularly, I found my skin dried out quite remarkably. I would recommend using it maybe every second day or just 3 times a week to avoid your skin becoming very dry. Otherwise it did reduce the darkness I sometimes get under my eyes and it was a nice product to use, not at all greasy or heavy when you apply it. It did not sting like some other retinal products can and has no overpowering smell.
Tips: Use only 3 times a week. First time users should use only twice a week.
I really wanted to love this but the serum left my face with a tingly sensation and I woke up with dry patches, especially under my eye area. I've used retinol products before so I know this can be expected, but I would not use this again around the eye area. The next time I tried it I deliberately lathered as much moisturiser as I could on top, which did wonders for the dryness in my skin. As far as retinol products go, I think this is an affordable, gentler option. But if you haven't used retinol before, use sparingly to begin with.
Tips: Ease yourself into using retinol if this is your first time, recommend using it every third day to start with if you have sensitive skin.
I was so excited to use this serum. I am getting more and more fine lines every passing year! The packaging is cute and I love the design of the bottle and I love how easy it is to control how much comes out. It has a nice smell and feels very hydrating when you rub it on. I’m glad there was some good instructions for this first-timer. I used this serum just before bed and I didn’t like how sticky it made my face feel against my pillow. I used it every second day as directed and I feel this was a good introduction to my skin. There wasn’t any over drying - maybe too much hydration for my skin as I woke up with a very oily face. I did notice there was a good improvement with the appearance of fine lines around my eyes and the crows feet significantly less which is exactly what I was hoping for. I have been using this now for two weeks - increasing the frequency of use as directed and sadly I don’t see any more improvements to any other areas. Maybe time to graduate to a stronger product.
This was my first time trying retinol and I was super excited as I'd been wanting to try it for ages. As it says it doesn't over dry your skin which was great. The consistency and texture of the serum are really nice and it absorbs into your skin very nicely. As someone who likes to keep a minimal skin care routine I thought it was great that it incorporated a night cream and eye cream into it. After using it every night for the last 2 weeks I can't say that I've noticed too much difference in the appearance of any fine lines on my face. I will happily continue to use this product to the end of the bottle as I like how it feels on my face but I'm not sure that I would buy it again. I can imagine that it could be a great product to start your retinol journey with to get your face used to it before moving on to other products.
The formula of this serum is beautiful, it glides on a little goes along way and feels like a very hydrating gel moisturiser. I have been using this now for a couple months and it seems like I can only use this maybe twice a week or it will break me our which is a shame because I love how it makes my skin feel and look at the time of application. I love the packaging on this the cap twists and locks to prevent leakage and the bottle is a thick glass bottle it feels really high quality. I dont know if I see a difference in the quality of my skin as in fine lines and pigmentation from when I do use it (apart from the breakouts) it does hydrate my skin immensely in the morning my skin is not dry at all like when I have used other retinol products. I like this enough just for the hydration alone to want to continue using this.
I was excited to try out this 3 in 1 serum, cream & eye cream. The consistency is more of a thin lotion and I found it very easy to apply and spread over my skin. Product is very lightweight and absorbs quickly and fully into the skin. I feel this is a good product for someone to introduce retinol in their skin care. Personally I’ll stick to my usual eye cream as I found this to irritate my eyes but ever so slightly and I so have extremely sensitive skin around my eyes so that could be a good reason for that. There was very mild tingling which is what you would expect from products that has retinol. In terms of reducing fine lines, I don’t think I can really say much about this as 2 weeks of usage is not enough time to make a fair judgment on that. A couple of more weeks of usage wil be needs to say anything about reducing fine lines. Overall an alright product and good way to start using retinol if just staring out.
Tips: Ease your way with the product and use every second day to begin with to let your skin adjust to incorporating retinol in your skin care.
