Garnier Hydra Bomb Chamomile Tissue Mask Review

My daughter bought me this, I suspect to enjoy seeing her mummy look ridiculous!

Ok, this is definitely not an activity to partake in when you're expecting visitors, or the mail man to come visiting - you look like something from Friday 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street.

So, choose a time when you can put your feet up and sit undisturbed for 15 minutes.

This tissue mask is thicker than I expected, I was expecting it to tear at slightest touch, it didn't, which was good because it did take a wee bit of positioning. I don't know if my features are just bigger than the average lady but I did have to pull and push to get the mask into place so I could comfortably open my eyes and, well breath.

Still once on it was on. It didn't slip or slide around, even though it was incredibly saturated in product.

It felt cooling and kind of relaxing in a weird way - you know how warm wax feels nice on your skin? This is like that, but cooling. Lovely for the end of a hot day.

Anyhoo 15 minutes later and I follow the instructions and massage the excess product into my face. It didn't seem to want to absorb, so I walked around for an hour with a bit of a moist face, after which it felt tacky.

It's not sounding good is it? BUT WAIT.

I went to bed feeling a bit meh about tissue masks. Until I woke up the next day with the softest skin EVER!

When doing my groceries I threw another mask in my trolley (it's less than $5, why not?) and a couple of days later I went again. Same issue with the lack of absorption and the tacky feeling, and yet the next day, salon-facial-fresh skin was mine!

I don't know what voodoo this is, maybe this should be advertised as an overnight treatment?

I know I'll be sticking with this mask for the foreseeable future, my skin has looked healthier after 4 masks than it ever has, its soft, its supple, it feels incredibly hydrated - oh and definitely gentle enough for sensitive skin!

This mask was awesome!! The instructions to use were very comprehensive. There was no strong scent to the mask which is great for sensitive skin. I peeled the mask relaxed for 15 minutes and while I was relaxing it felt so nice and refreshing on my skin. After I took it off I could feel my skin felt plumper and actually my pesky fine lines have gone! I would recommend this to everyone!!

I picked up a couple of these masks when New World had a wonderful 50% off, so they were only $2.50! Awesome price.

It comes in a rather large foil packet which is easy to rip open. The mask is drenched in product, I've found the other masks from this range to also be like this so I guess it is standard for these.

It was easy to unfold and the blue sheet peeled off with ease after I had placed it on my face. It fitted my face rather well which I liked. I left this on for 20mins, it didn't feel claustrophobic at all.

Once removed there was a lot of product left on my face, I massaged it in and it felt sticky for a few minutes then settled down. My skin was left hydrated and plump. My skin is so dry so it loves this mask.

The next day my face looked fresh and radiant, so hydrated and soft. I love these garnier masks. Will be buying more for my mask stash.

This is my Saturday night 'me-time' each week. This mask is nothing short of intense hydration, and so soothing and cooling! I have quite dry skin, especially in winter, and after this mask my skin looks brighter and feels fabulous for days afterwards! It's definitely helped reduce my every day hydration issues!

Have a shower, put on the PJ's, and put your feet up! Rip open the mask packet and apply according to instructions.... Have a laugh in the mirror - because the first time you use a tissue mask it is a little 'weird'..... then smooth out the mask so its sitting nicely on your skin, and then put your feet up for 15 minutes, relax and enjoy!

Its a super 'wet' mask, but that's the amazing thing about it - there's so much goodness in one mask and your skin just loves it! Removing the mask, just peel it off, and then rub i the product that remains on your face - or if you're like me - put your feet up again and let it all soak in!

It's total bliss!

This is a really affordable mask and will do the job if you are after something soothing and moisturising. For the price, it is really good and does what it says it will. I have tried a few sheet masks and some come without enough serum, this one however comes with enough serum and more. Highly recommend this product if you are after something cheap and effective

As I've mentioned in another review, I absolutely adore this mask range. Yes, it can be a bit pricey for a single-use product but every time I use one of these masks, I'm just blown away by how good my skin looks and feels for the following few days. I always use it the night before an event and it just makes my face feel glowy and healthy. Perfect for self-care days and at-home spa days, too!

I love these sheet masks by Garnier Skin Active. I buy 2 of these weekly from Kmart and they never fail to please my skin. Ideal for all skin types, (I have sensitive skin) you can get 2 masks out of 1 packet, and the skin feels fresh soft and glowy every time. So affordable and effective! I’ve incorporated these masks as a necessity to my self care routine, and nothing beats a quiet night in with a true crime doc and a good face mask right?! If I’m going out to see friends for wine or dinner, I’ll do the face mask the same day and my make up just glides on which makes getting ready so less stressful and fun!

I've been having issues with my skin lately being really dry, rashy and sensitive so I've been trying alot of products to help. I was lucky enough to be given a hamper for my birthday from my kids and this sheet masks was in it. I like the packaging of the Garnier sheet masks they always get my attention in the shops especially when a new one comes out, I love to try them. This mask had alot of serum in it which was great cause i find the more serum the more effective the results are, it really soaks into my skin well and I had enough to wipe onto my neck afterwards. The smell was nice and refreshing and not too strong. It was really gentle on skin and didn't sting at all. I was really happy with the results from this mask it left my skin feeling so much better and will definitely use it again.

This was my first time using a tissue mask. I have always been curious as to how these masks worked and how scary I would look wearing one.

I cleansed my skin twice before using this just to make sure it was super clean. I read the instructions on the back of the packet then got the mask out and unfolded it carefully. I put it on my face and smoothed it out and the carefully peeled the blue film from it

I felt very uncomfortable. I was trying to adjust it but it felt like it kept sliding off or perhaps I have an odd shaped face or something. To sum it up for me personally - I was not a fan of keeping the mask on for 15 minutes. I did it anyway.

I peeled it off after 15 minutes and I massaged the remaining gel into my face and neck and I was so relieved to remove it.

It was worth it because the results are amazing! My skin is so smooth and hydrated! Its not as red as it normally is either. I have noticed amazing results from this mask!

Its very inexpensive $5 for 1 mask and results last up to a week.

This was the first time using one of these paper face masks, and I was pleasantly surprised! It smells just like a cup of chamomile tea and would be perfect before bed with a cuppa. I did my mask in the morning though, and it was so nice and soothing. After the 15 minutes with the mask on, I removed excess product with a cotton pad and my skin was so nice and supple! Definitely gave my face a nice glow, and so smooth once dry. Perfect base for a day of make up. As much as I would love to use something like this everyday I would probably only buy for special events for my budgets sake. Also as I hope that I, or anyone else, avoids the risk of sunburn, this would be an ideal emergency product to help relieve a mistaken sunburnt face. It says it’s supposed to last for 24 hours, and my skin isn’t too dry normally, so I couldn’t tell if there was actually much difference at the end of the day, but this may be more noticeable for people with dry skin.
