I love this stuff! I originally tried the Bioderma Micellar Water and this is EXACTLY the same for a much more wallet friendly price. It removes ALMOST all traces of makeup on my skin. While it is gentle and non-stripping on my skin, I knocked off one point because I find it's too gentle to remove my waterproof mascara (Maybelline Volum Colossal), leaving me with uncomfortable lashes and makeup residue if I don't take additional steps to remove it. It is surprisingly good at removing liquid lipsticks, though!

Tips: I usually dissolve stubborn eye makeup with some baby oil before using this to wipe off all remaining makeup and residue. This leaves my face free of makeup and ready for the next step in my routine (facewash!) I also find it conditions my lashes and leaves them in a better state than when I use the Micellar Water alone.
I wanted to love this product so much because of all the hype but it broke me out like crazy, I was so upset about this! But it did do such an incredible job at taking my makeup off and works well as a spot cleaner for brushes too. I also found that this product works wonders at taking makeup stains out of clothes lol!
Tips: Damp a cotton pad with product and use circular motions to remove makeup
I use it everyday to remove my make up before bed time. I sometimes even don't follow it up with a facewash. But it does remove all my make up and never had any breakouts!
I love how this removed all my eye makeup and my double wear foundation which normally takes double cleansing. My only problem is its hard to come by as it is so popular at the moment so I normally end up having to buy the simple micellar water which doesn't seem to remove my makeup as well as the garnier one.
Tips: stock up on cotton pads.
I feel like this product was sooo hyped up! When it first launched in NZ it took me so long to find it! I had already been using another brand of micellar water that I had purchased from postie plus which was amaaazing, so when I purchased this I expected it to be even better because of all the hype and it was from a good well known brand, but I felt so let down! I feel like I have to use so much more and rub so much harder than I do with my other product.
It does do what it says it does, I just expected a little more I guess. When I first used it I broke out really bad, but I guess that was just my skin getting use to a new product.
Over all, this product has nice simple packaging, you get a lot for your money, but I feel like there are other products out there (face wipes etc) that will do the same trick
So much hype surrounded this product and Im a sucker for hype - who isn't?! so once I FINALLY got my hands on it I wasn't sure what to expect.
The size of the bottle for the price is what I love - yes size matters! Always tired of running out of other liquid eye makeup removers in a couple of weeks just wasn't ideal for me.
I only use this product to remove my eye makeup and I find this removes it easily, I still get a bit of redness on my lids just like ALL other removers I've tried but doesn't seem as bad.
Ive tested it a couple of times on my face make up aswell I dont cake my makeup on either, but didnt think it removed it very well, so I'll continue using my all time favourite Tailor oil cleanse for my face makeup removal and for cleansing.
I cant help but shake the bottle prior which makes it bubble up - a habit from using those blue/clear liquid removers that require mixing. I like that the bottle is clear and simple to see how much is left, the pink top and other pink writing make it girly looking, it doesn't bother me but Im sure it doesn't appeal to everyone, especially males etc who might wear makeup. They are defiantly targeting a certain demographic with their marketing. Obviously I use too much as there is no way Id get 200 uses out of a 400ml bottle - can anyone say they have?
It feels nice and refreshing on the eye area and I was surprised how it wasn't greasy like the other removers, even thought I realise its a 'water' I still expected a little greasiness! So Micellar Waters will defiantly be my go to from now on mainly because of the size of the bottle and value for money. I will try a different brand so I can compare Micellar Waters and that this one is better than any other, so watch this space.
As Im about to travel for a month soon I predict this will be on my to-pack list - especially for late nights and jet lag when I really cant be bothered with a complicated skincare routine. Just fingers crossed it doesn't leak :/
Would be good to see it sold in travel sizes too for weekends away etc. - again size does matter!
Tips: A beauty therapist once told me with any liquid makeup removers, dampen (not soak) cotton pads first with a small amount of water so they don't just soak up the product. Fact or Fiction? I've tried it and think she was on to something, but perhaps for more oil based removers... ?
Being fascinated by the Micelle within Micellar waters I had to try one. A lot of make-up removers and cleansers claim that they remove all dirt from deep within pores and little do you know they don't! I used Garnier Micellar water and it did exactly as it claimed, removed my full nights make-up, cleansed & toned! All i had to do was pop on some moisturizer :) Thinking it could all be in my head the next day i reverted back to my make-up wipes and cleansed my face as i usually would, to truly test the Micellar water i then went over my "clean" face and was amazed when further dirt came out of my pores, this shows the technology behind it does really work! Bottle size is great and I have got well over 200 applications out of mine so awesome value for money! If you haven't already give it a go!
Tips: A little goes a long way :)
Usually I am wary of Garnier products due to my skin reacting a lot to their products. But I adore this Miceller water! It removes all traces of my make up, usually I cleanse first then use miceller water on a cotton round to make sure everything is gone!
Tips: I use a few drops on a cotton bud to touch up any unruly gel liner smudges!
I had been wanting to try this for ages, but hadn't seen it in the shops because it's so popular. Saw it at Countdown on special, about $9.00, so yay! I cleansed my faced first with my normal cleansing wipes, then used the Garnier product on a cotton pad. I couldn't believe the amount of dirt and grime that came off my face. I didn't have to scrub hard, just lightly wiped the pad all over my face, including my eye area. No irritation, very gentle, no annoying fragrance. I only used a little bit each time, so this bottle is going to last me for ages. I actually says on the bottle over 200 aplications. Great value for money especially if you can get it on special like I did.
Tips: Don't scrub onto your face, just use gentle circular motions, turn the cotton pad over and use the other side as well because the product will soak through.
I lucked out and found a bottle of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water at my local New World. Which I had been waiting weeks for it to be restocked and I really hoped it wasn't going to let me down after such a long wait as I heard this product had caused a lot of people to break out.
After the first use of this product I was amazed by how much make up it took off but also shocked at how much make up I had been previously leaving on my skin when using other make up removers. I used this product with a cotton make up remover pad. I have been using this product regularly to remove my make up since purchasing and will continue to use it until I run out. I will be definitely be repurchasing as I found it even removed water proof mascara.
One con of this product is that I found the first time I used it my skin felt a little dry the next day so I had to make sure I used moisturiser.
To sum up my review I really enjoyed this product and it definitely didn't let me down with all the hype about it.
Tips: Use this product with a make up remover pad but be sure to soak the pad to get all the product off your face. You may need to go over your face twice to ensure the make up has been completely removed. Ensure you use your moisturiser afterwards.
