How can something that looks like water , smells like water and feels like water cleans your skin so throughly as it does ? I was a bit skeptical at first as I'm a cream cleanser fan and I thought no way was this going to get rid of my makeup especially eye make up but it does everything it promises to using micellar spheres that capture the makeup and dirt with the swipe of a pad. I did end up using a few cotton pads as it kept removing dirt ! This product is fragrance free so is great for sensitive skins, acne prone skins as it leaves no oily residue and dry mature skins like mine. My face was refreshed and not dry . My eye makeup was gone including my mascara. I would defiantly purchase this product again !

Tips: Stock up on cotton pads ! Watch that grime disappear
I received the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as part of a trial and was super excited to try it.
It is a big 400ml clear plastic bottle with pink lid and label. It is attractive and with a price of $13 affordable and long lasting. The bottle states that you get an average of 200 uses out of one bottle. Cant complain here!
The cleansing water has no particular smell. As stated on the bottle I put a little bit of the cleasning water on a cotton pad and gently wiped my whole face. I was very impressed how gentle it was and how effective it took all my make up off. Even waterproof mascara came off without problems. The skin feels amazingly fresh afterwords without feeling dry.
I especially liked that you dont need a lot of the product so it goes a long way. I will definitly recommend this to my friends and it will be one of my new bathroom must have!
I was fortunate enough to receive this little goodie to trial from BR and it's another amazing product that BR have introduced to me.
It comes in a clear plastic bottle. I like this as it allows you to see how much product is left. I feel that it has no scent at all which doesn't bother me.
This product is so easy to use. Simply apply the Micellar Cleansing Water to a cotton pad and wipe over your face and neck. Wallaaa...all done, it's that easy. This product states that it will last for around 200 washes and I think that could be right. I've been using it twice a day for a week now and have hardly made a dent in it. Therefore this product is fantastic value for money.
I have been using this product morning and evening. In the morning for a quick cleanser and in the evenings to remove my makeup. I used only one cotton pad to remove all my makeup and then another cotton pad to completely cleanse afterwards.
I love that this product has given me more free time by not needing to rinse, rub in, wash off and dry. All I now need to do it wipe my face with the Micellar Cleansing Water and let it dry (which only took roughly 1-2 minutes).
I am 100% happy with this fabulous product, will definitely be recommending it and know that I will be purchasing more once I've run out. Thank you so much BR for introducing me to this ♡
Tips: A little goes a long way. I put my bottle in the fridge on those hot days as a cooling refresher for my face.
I can’t even express how excited I was to trial this. There has been so much hype in the land of internet recently about micellar waters, and this Garnier one particularly. It definitely lives up to the majority of the hype, but there’s just one thing that lets it down for me (ooh the suspense!!)…
This comes in such a generous sized, sturdy bottle, which is going to last forever given how little I have to use every time. I love that it’s clear, as that makes it easy to see how much is left. The dispenser is just a drip-through-the-hole type of one, but it works well, and I haven’t had any problems with it going everywhere.
I’ve used this with cotton-wool balls and round cotton pads, and the latter definitely work better. I squirt enough of the micellar water on to the pad so that it’s nice and soaked (the info card thingy said about half a teaspoon, which sounds about right), and then wipe it all over my face. It doesn’t sting, it doesn’t have any scent, it doesn’t foam up or turn a different colour… in short, it feels exactly like water. Soothing but refreshing. And damp. (Just thought I should clarify that :P)
In terms of removing my face makeup and eyeshadow, this stuff is magical. It seriously just melts it off – I don’t know how it can do it so easily! (well, I’ve read up on micellar water, but I still maintain it’s magic). I use one or two cotton pads for my entire face, depending on how much makeup I’m wearing, and when I follow up with toner not a speck of makeup comes off on that cotton pad. It literally takes me less than 30 seconds to get all my face makeup off, and that is pretty darn amazing.
I don’t find it leaves any residue, so although I have been following up with toner, I haven’t felt the need to rinse it off. I haven’t experienced any irritation or breakouts since starting to use this, and most importantly I haven’t had dry patches – something which is caused by a lot of cleansers for me.
All in all, this is amazing. Except. This makes me so sad. I wear a waterproof mascara, which I love. Unfortunately this just doesn’t do anything to remove it – I’ve tried using it so many ways, and even resorted to the dreaded scrubbing, and it just doesn’t do anything to budge it. Now, this probably speaks more for the mascara than the micellar water, but I’d read so many places that this would remove waterproof eye makeup super easily, so it was disappointing. What I’ve ended up doing is using a tiny bit of my oil cleanser just to get my mascara off, and then wiping that residue away with the micellar water. It works, it just adds an extra step to what otherwise is an amazingly quick and easy method of makeup removal.
Will I repurchase? Yes! Would I recommend to others? Definitely! Just be aware that if you have a stubborn waterproof mascara, this may not quite hit the mark.
Tips: Invest in a pack of cotton makeup removal pads - they're super cheap from places like Kmart or the supermarket, and they work so much better for this than anything else!
I was so excited to trial this product because of all the hype surrounding it, and I am really impressed!
Firstly, I love how big the bottle is, and how small the price tag is. This is definitely something I can afford to buy again without thinking too much about it.
I do not wear a heap of makeup, usually just BB cream, mineral foundation powder, mascara and sometimes lippie. This miracle water does SUCH a fantastic job of removing this and leaves my skin feeling clean, refreshed and soft. No dryness at all.
I have been using a round cotton pad (both sides remove everything), soaked in probably about a 1/2 teaspoon of the liquid.
Overall, this is a very handy and effective product that I feel I will be getting a lot of use out of. I will definitely be recommending it to friends.
I'd read about micellar water and must admit I was a little dubious but jumped at the chance to try it.
Firstly I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bottle and jumped to the conclusion that meant you need a lot of it - the first night proved me wrong! The packaging is bright and modern and simple. The top is sturdy but easy to open and the size of the hole is perfect - it makes it impossible to use too much!
I also thought it would smell but it really doesn't - maybe only a tiny bit but it's very pleasant.
The consistency is as expected - watery but is nice to use. My skin can break out at almost anything but even after a week my skin is still clear (very happy).
It claimed that you don't have to rub to remove make up and I initially didn't find this to be correct - I did have to rub to remove my mascara, but it did remove it very well and I didn't have to runrub as hard as with my normal cleanser. I realised on about day 3 that if you use it like nail varnish remover (hold and wipe) it made a huge difference.
My skin has been clean and soft - so soft that when I realised at 10am that I'd forgotten to put my moisteriser on I touched my face and was amazed to see how soft it still was!
If this really is $13 for this size bottle when it comes onto the market, I'll be a definite convert!
Was looking forward to this hitting NZ shops! It is well worth the hype. I wear long wear foundation (double wear) and this removed it all and eye makeup without irritating my sensitive eyes. A little goes a long way and a bottle will last forever. I dont use this as my sole make up remover as I still cleanse afterwards. Will repurchase
Tips: I read that this can be used to clean makeup brushes. Put a little in a shallow container, place brush bristles in leave a few mintues then rinse. Works great!
I trialled this product over the past 2 weeks and have really loved it. I used the product at night after a day with makeup and in the morning without - both gave me amazing results and my skin was clean and felt soft. I also got sunburn during the trial and it helped soothe my skin so definitely awesome for sensitive skin.
Tips: Apply with a cotton pad so you don't waste it
I have always been scrupulous about cleaning my face before going to bed and was very interested by Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water promises.
I do not wear much make-up and some days I actually don't wear any. A little squirt of Micellar Water on a cotton pad does the trick every evening. The make-up or the impurities of the day are easily removed. However, for me, the product does half what it claims.
Why only half? After the cleansing of my sensitive clear skin, I do not have a "aha" or "feel good" moment. My face is clean, but my skin is irritated; irritated and not refreshed.
The RRP of $12.99 is a good price for a 400ml bottle. Garnier claims the bottle contains the equivalent to 200 applications. I agree. It is good that the bottle is made of #1 polyethylene terephthalate, which is supposed to be a safer plastic, and can be recycled in New Zealand.
I would not recommend the product to friends who have a sensitive skin, due to the irritation I am experiencing.
Tips: Do not squeeze too much Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water on the cotton pad. The product will foam and it is not nice.
Here it is, I was super excited about this review and then I tried the Micellar Cleansing Water. Now, I have pretty clear skin other than a few small spots around that time of the month. So it wasn't much fun when my skin broke out majorly after using the Micellar Cleansing Water. Unfortunately, it got worse after day 3 ( I thought my skin may have just been adjusting) which meant I had to stop using the product. My skin has begun to clear up now that I have gone back to my normal regime. I'm quite gutted that this product didn't work out for me.
:(
Tips: Using cotton cosmetic pads made it easier to apply the Micellar Cleansing Water.
