I generally use makeup wipes as a quick way to remove my makeup. This product work great for me to remove any traces that are left behind. It leaves your face feeling completely clean. I have other products I prefer to remove eye makeup, but for foundation etc this works well. I think it's a great (and less expensive) alternative to Bioderma. The bottle is a generous size and I would repurchase.

I have recently lacked a decent makeup remover. In my laziness I usually opt for a makeup removing wipe and then give my face a rinse. But during the last few weeks I've found myself, instead, reaching for my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.
It has, very close to, the consistency of water and does not leave a residue like most other removers. I suppose I could describe it a water, but better!
Personally, I found that it does a decent job on most makeup. It easily takes of my foundation and powders, my usual mascara is relatively easy but the eyebrows need a little work. I'd say the only let down is that it wont take off my water-proof mascara. Luckily I only wear it once a week..
Overall, its a decent makeup remover. More pros than cons and you get a lot of product for the price. I am unsure if this will be a repurchase once I run out, purely because I prefer something that can take off my waterproof mascara, like my Neutrogena Oil-Free one. But unlike the Neutrogena one, I prefer that this formula doesn't leave a horrible residue. Update to come about the repurchase...... ;)
Tips: Use on a cotton pad around delicate eye areas. Rinse face after if necessary.
I hadn't heard of "Micellar" water before being involved in this trial, but a quick Google told me it was good at removing make up and kinder to your skin than make up removal wipes.
When I hear the word "cleanser" I think of the cleansers I use on the regular e.g. foaming ones, or ones like Cetaphil etc., and seeing as Micellar water seems to be an upgraded version of make up removal wipes (which I use sometimes to quickly take off all my make up after work before going for a run), the first thing I tried was using it to remove my daily full-face make up that I wear for work - thinking that the fact it was promoted as a cleanser, it'd effectively remove my foundation et al. It definitely doesn't! I ended up having to wash my face to get off most of my make up, but did notice that the Micellar water worked well at removing eye make up (mascara, liquid eyeliner).
From then on, I've been using it as both a toner and make up remover instead of what I usually use (witch hazel as a toner and a Nivea make up remover). It's really gentle and it does feel just like water on your skin! However, I'm acne prone and have oily skin and I have noticed that I'm breaking out a bit and getting lots of blackheads, which the witch hazel normally prevented to an extent. I'd probably recommend Micellar water more for people with normal or dry skin that don't have that much of a problem with acne etc.
Overall, I think I'll probably purchase Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water again as the RRP is great for the size, given that's what I pay for a much smaller bottle of make up remover at the moment. I think I'll stick to just using it as a make up remover, as it does seem to be kinder on the eye area than other removers. I was also happy to see the relatively short ingredient list!
A good, budget friendly product best suited for those who wear light make up if they want a complete make up remover in a bottle.
Tips: Works best at removing light make up. Good value for money, huge bottle and looks like it'll last ages!
I'll start with the positives - The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is great at removing makeup. It removes possibly 99% of all my makeup, and it doesnt sting. One not so positive, is the way it leaves my skin feeling after. It feels both oily and dry and I end up having to go and wash my face properly with a facial cleanser afterwards, which I dont have to do with my other makeup removers. It has caused small breakouts in the more sensitive areas of my face so this is quite a turn-off. Though seeing as it is really good at removing stubborn makeup, I use it only when I desperately need to.
Tips: If you have really sensitive skin, or skin that is prone to breaking out, I wouldnt reccomend, and it is probably a better eye and lip makeup remover, rather than a full face :)
Been using this for the past month and it's not too bad. A little bit of it on a cotton pad does go a long. It doesn't irritate the skin around my eyes where it's most sensitive and does get almost all the makeup off with one pad of it. I'd recommend still cleaning your face afterwards even though it says you don't have to.
Tips: It's pretty good for removing makeup stains in things like carpets or seats in cars.
So many people have raved about this so when I found it in my local supermarket, I didn't hesitate to buy it. It is fairly inexpensive for the size.
I did find that it removed all my makeup quite really especially mascara. I still needed 3-4 cotton pads though which was a bit wasteful.
I liked using it but after a week or so I started getting breakouts. I do have sensitive and acne-prone skin but my skin has been good lately and I didn't change anything else in my skincare routine except for using this to remove my makeup.
I wish this worked for me but unfortunately I can't use it all over my face. Overall, it is an okay product. I wouldn't rave about it as much as others based on my own experience but if this doesn't break you out, I understand why it's such a loved product.
Easy to use, just pour a bit on a pad & get wiping. I like to use it after a cleanser - just to make sure I get everything. As a makeup remover it does work, but I just dont get the clean feeling I'm used to. This is probably due to it being gentle and actually good for my skin.
I did find it brilliant as a makeup brush cleaner!
When I first heard about this I became really excited to go out and buy it. However it took a bit of patient and searching, just so I can gey my hands one due to it being out of stock on my local supermarket. The size of the product suites the price that its being sold for. It did the job that it said it would do. I had no problems with it on the first 2 days until I started to breakout, so I stopped using it for 2 weeks. Instead of using it as an overall makeup removal, I only now use it as an eye makeup remover. Its a great product, but it wasnt for me unfortunately.
Tips: Try using some to remove make up from under your chin and around your neck for a few days. This is to test if your skin will react to it or not.
This product not only removes makeup from your face, but anywhere else you can think of. If you need to spot clean your brushes this will dry almost instantly for you to use; wiping down your makeup vanity doesn't require household cleaners, and it's gentle enough for the face so won't damage your furniture.
I will say however that this does leave my face feeling slightly tight after I use it, but I will generally use this to take off my makeup before the other steps in my skincare routine. I probably wouldn't recommend the pink one to people with sensitive skin, however I believe they are coming out with new varieties so those will be interesting to try!
Tips: Great for spot cleaning your makeup brushes!
So I was happy to give this a try as an occasional make-up wearer and someone with very sensitive skin I wasn't sure how much use I would get from it.. The first time i used I only had cotton balls - not the best effect at all- so was off to the shops to invest in makeup pads. I have been using twice a day for over a week now and my skin is lovely and clear no reactions at all. It leaves my skin super clean - its amazing how much grime you can get on your face in a day even without makeup. It reminds me of older style toners without the smell and sting. It removes makeup easily when using pads and makes me so much more likely to do it as its quick and easy. It also leaves skin soft and doesn't make your face feel all tight and shiny like some products can. I like this so much I am using instead of face wash!. Great value for money too.
Tips: Even when not wearing makeup this is a great light cleanser for the end of each day to give you fresh clean skin for bedtime.
