Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review

I had been eyeing this product up for ages, after hearing so much about it and was beyond excited to trial this. Like a lot of other popular items, I wondered if it would live up to the hype. IT DID OMG IT DID. This product has literally changed the way I cleanse my face. The first time I used this, I had already washed my face with water, but holey moley I was surprised at the amount of dirt there was left on the cotton pad. I was astounded that all this dirt was blocked in my pores, after I had washed my face. I also have very sensitive skin, so was unsure whether this would sting or cause redness. Much to my delight, no reaction at all, no redness, itchiness, stinging- nada. It left my skin feeling refreshed, cleansed and hydrated, as a cleanser should. It didn't dry out my skin (like a lot of other cleaners do to my skin) or make it feel tight. Once it dried, my skin felt really smooth! Because it says you don't need to wash it off, I thought my skin would feel sticky or it would feel heavy, because there was still product left on it. But it didn’t! My skin felt so much better. I was also surprised that you don’t need any rubbing scrubbing to work this into the skin- it’s as simple as putting a small amount on to a cotton pad and wiping the face. After using this for the past week, my skin has gotten clearer and it looks brighter. My friends have commented on it, saying how clear it looks and how it glows. It’s also become smoother and my skin has become less dry and my redness has decreased. I have also used this to take my make up off, and it works amazingly. Takes my all my make up (especially my mascara) off effortlessly and doesn’t smudge too much. I also suspected that the cleanser would have some sort of scent, but it doesn't! It smells like nothing, which was pretty surprising to me. I thought this was a good thing, as some cleansers can have a chemical/acid smell which can be unpleasant. The texture is very thin and it is clear- it looks just like water! It makes it really easy to apply, and the application doesn’t come on unevenly which I love! I would definitely pay for this product. The retail price of $12.99 is almost cheap if you ask me! The bottle is HUGE (400mL is heaps) and you only need the tiniest amount to cleanse the whole face, so it will go a long way. I really like the packaging! I think the white and pink with the colourless/clear theme is really clean and simple and it displays well. The bottle is really easy to grip and the lid is really easy to open and close. The hole is a good size to distribute the product- not too small or too large. Overall, I honestly love this product. It is now part of my skincare routine, and I will continue to use this until I squeeze the last drop out. It does everything it says it does and I have nothing bad to say about it. My skin is thanking Garnier for this God sent. GO BUY THIS you won’t regret it!

This product is simple to use which is one of the things I love most about it.

I have in general pretty good skin but I do in the mornings feel grimmy and like my face needs a refresh but I never seem to have time to do a full clean, thats where this product is perfect, its simple to use you just put a small amount on a cotton pad and wipe your face and it cleans the grime and leaves your facer feeling refreshed.

I will definatley be buying this product again.

I'm in love. All you need to do is pour a little bit on some cotton wool and wipe makeup off. No stinging. No rinsing.

I have sensitive skin, so cleansers or makeup removal wipes always make my skin sting, especially near the eyes, but this doesn't have any smell, is nice and clear, and definitely no stinging.

Not having to rinse saves so much time and effort too. Cold water sucks in winter, and sometimes you honestly cannot be bothered. This is such a simple solution, I'm so happy with this product!

It works perfectly on waterproof eye makeup too. As well as being really good at cleansing your skin, it feels super soothing afterwards. I often don't even bother with moisturiser when tired, because my skin feels fine anyway.

Wow this product is awesome I'm so hooked. I must admit come night time I always fall straight into bed without removing my make-up, but I have been removing it ever since this cleansing water arrived in the mail.

It get's all my makeup off including Mascara which is fantastic and the make up comes off easily so you don't have to rub your skin to get it off. I love the fact that it has a small opening so you don't waste heaps as you pour it out and that there wasn't a awful strong smell. It didn't sting my skin or leave it feeling dry or oily afterwards.

Love the bigger size bottle and a great price for it as well, so in a nut shell a fabulous product that does what it states. Any another product I can purchase easily at the supermarket.

I love this cleanser!!! It makes the skin tingle afterwards while it dries. My favourite thing is that I don't have to clean my face after removing the make up like you have to when using other cleansing wipes. The only thing it didn't do was remove fully my mascara. My skin felt nice, soft and refreshed afterwards and didn't take long to feel dry. I would certainly buy this again when this bottle runs out.

After hearing about everyone raving about this product I was very excited to learn that I would be able to trial it!

When looking for make-up removers and cleansers my main concerns are if they will sting my eyes, remove make-up efficiently and if they will leave my face feeling oily.

I ripped open the packaging as soon as I received it in the mail. Had a sniff and it doesn't really have any sort of scent that I could make out.

I've tried it with a full face of make-up and it worked wonderfully. On an average day my basics are double wear foundation with a MAC powder over the top, Napoleon Perdis eyeliner and an Estee Lauder mascara. This cleansing water managed to remove all of my eye makeup and 90% of my foundation on the first go. (I rubbed, even though they say 'no need to rub') I needed to go over my face about three times before there was no foundation visible on the cotton pad I used. I did a quick test with coconut oil after just to see if there was any left and there wasn't.

No stinging! Not left feeling oily!

$13 is an awesome price considering how big the bottle is, the cap is relatively small as well so you don't waste much.

i found this ok, it done what it said it would i like it dosent have a flash bottle ,but the best part was when taking my make up off i didnt have that strong chemical smell , there was no smell and it was gentle on my skin and didnt sting me so to me this is the one i would use, especially if u have seniitive skin and it dosent irritate , so a plus for me and also leaves your skin feeling soft so it nt only takes your make up off but cleans and softens as well , AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!

So ill start by saying I have super duper sensitive skin so am always hesitant to try new facial products, but when this cleansing water that has already been raved about and hadnt yet been released in nz was offered, how could i turn my nose at the opportunity? Besides it does say suitable for all skin types. When i received this gem, i had a "cake face day" so great opportunity to put it to the test!. Now anyone who is a wearer of double wear know that that foundation sticks! well the results double wear 0-cleansing water 1. With one wipe double wear was no more. eyebrows didnt stand a chance either! Though it took another round of cleaning to get rid of all remnants of make up, the cleansing water did a brilliant job. Around the eyes caused a bit of sting but nothing a gentle hand cant get around. After use, my skin felt like it was breathing again and also moisturized. And no allergic reactions! not a single dot of a rash popped up. very happy I will be purchasing this again me thinks!

I have always been scrupulous about cleaning my face before going to bed and was very interested by Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water promises.

I do not wear much make-up and some days I actually don't wear any. A little squirt of Micellar Water on a cotton pad does the trick every evening. The make-up or the impurities of the day are easily removed. However, for me, the product does half what it claims.

Why only half? After the cleansing of my sensitive clear skin, I do not have a "aha" or "feel good" moment. My face is clean, but my skin is irritated; irritated and not refreshed.

The RRP of $12.99 is a good price for a 400ml bottle. Garnier claims the bottle contains the equivalent to 200 applications. I agree. It is good that the bottle is made of #1 polyethylene terephthalate, which is supposed to be a safer plastic, and can be recycled in New Zealand.

I would not recommend the product to friends who have a sensitive skin, due to the irritation I am experiencing.

I trialled this product over the past 2 weeks and have really loved it. I used the product at night after a day with makeup and in the morning without - both gave me amazing results and my skin was clean and felt soft. I also got sunburn during the trial and it helped soothe my skin so definitely awesome for sensitive skin.
