This is an absolute must have with your skin care/ make up collection!
I first tried this at my 50 year old mothers house! Lol. And have loved it ever since! It does exactly what it says, definitely leaves my skin smooth and gives it that deep clean feeling. I'm really bad with taking my make up off at the end of the day so this is absolutely perfect for me.
It removes stubborn waterproof make up, I love how it takes my waterproof mascara off in a few wipes like a dream! And it doesn't give me panda eyes like using face wash. Even after washing my face with face wash, I use this and when I think my face is clean, this cleansing water takes clean to a whole new level.
I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. A little goes a long way, I have the biggest bottle and it has lasted me so well.
Tips: Use a make up pad for easy removal. I have run out of pads and have been using a face cloth.. Works the same :)
I remember how crazy Makeup obsessives became when the Garnier Micellar water was released, it was a crazy frenzy, and finding this was so hard! For 3 months I tried to find this with no luck, It was so distressing when you want something but cant get your hands on one.
That was until people were having bad reactions to it, so many were having reactions to the Micellar water and that was enough to put me off purchasing the product. Months went by (and the craze had died down) when I finally purchased some.
I made sure the first time I used this that I would be wearing a full coverage foundation and heavy eye makeup just to test it out properly. I had soaked a handful of cotton pads with Micellar water and started at my forehead, I couldnt believe how easy it removed Estee lauder double wear foundation. Next was my eyes, it removed my dark eye makeup with ease. I was very VERY surprised with the outcome, especially when it looks like its just water from the outside.
It also makes my face feel so refreshed at the end of the day, it gives a cooling effect to my skin which is an added bonus. I have been using this product for 2+weeks and I have had no reaction to it (fingers crossed)
This product melts away makeup so easily, I am very happy with this product and I wish I had purchased some sooner. I would call this magical water, and yes I will be repurchasing this!
Tips: When you dye your hair and you get excess dye on your head or arms, use this with a cotton pad, it will remove it so easily!
I received a small bottle of Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water to review.
This stuff is a staple in my skincare/makeup removal routine. It's the first thing I reach for every night when getting ready for bed.
Just a couple of shakes onto a cotton pad is enough to remove all my eye makeup and most of my foundation. A second pass over my face will get it clean enough that I don't feel the need to wash my face (if I'm really desperate to get to bed!) I usually use a cleanser after this if I'm doing my full skincare routine.
This micellar water has no scent and feels like water, however it leaves my normal/dry skin feeling hydrated and comfortable - I could skip moisturiser and my face wouldn't hate me. It doesn't leave any residue on my skin.
It won't remove waterproof makeup so you'll need a dedicated makeup remover for that, but it'll remove even the heaviest non-waterproof makeup easily and gently.
I really have nothing bad to say about this product. It's affordable, lasts a long time, easy to use, effective and truly a must-have.
Tips: To save space and reduce weight during travel, put some cotton pads in a ziploc bag and squirt in enough micellar water to saturate the pads.
I tend to use makeup remover wipes as they are much more convenient to use, you can just wip one out and use it straight away. This product was a risky trial for me as I didn't know if I would like the product or not as my previous experiences with similar products aren't that great. I don't usually like to use liquid makeup remover as I don't like the way it feels on my skin, such as leaving my face feeling oily and clogged. The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is the first makeup remover that has left me feeling satisfies with the results. It not only took my makeup off, both eye and face but also didn't leave my skin feeling oily. This is something I look for in a product as I hate my skin feeling oily. I feel this product definitely did everything it said it would and can really take off stubborn, waterproof eye makeup. The fact that it is hypoallergenic and perfume free is a bonus, especially for me as I have had reactions to perfumed makeup removers and toners. To be perfectly honest, I would definitely consider buying this product once my free sample runs out which I have a feeling it will soon as I already love it!
This should be called miracle cleansing water lol, i love this remover, it doesn't smell like chemicals at all like some make up removers. Normally make up removers make the skin on my face tingle but this one just feels like water its awesome oh and you dont need to soak your cotton pad just to remove mascara. Im glad i got to try this. This is my NUMBER 1 go to for sure.
I read a article about this before trials were sent out for trial. I remember it said it could be used for a number of things. 1. To remove makeup 2. To freshen up 3. To clean brushes. (They are the three I remembered and have trialed this for.
The bottle is see through with a neat little cap. I love the cap.
Last night I tried it to clean my brushes. For this purpose I give 5 kisses. I will use the rest of my bottle for this purpose. They came up clean and it was done quicker than using a bossy brush cleaner
Last night I used this to freshen myself up (as if I was away camping.) I didn't like this. For some reason I felt like I had a film left on my skin (underarms) and had to go wash it off after awhile as it didn't go away. For this I give 0 kisses
Last night I had a very soft simple makeup on. As soon as I put this on my face it stung. I am not sure why as I use another product like this and it is my favourite product. So I put it down to my skin being slightly dry (which it wasn't as I found out this evening) I had to put a heavy moisturiser on as my skin felt stripped.
Today I wore a heavier makeup look. I used this product to remove the makeup on the right side of my face only. Again it stung slightly (very confused at this) As it dried I touched my face to find that same film feel. On the left side of my face I used my normal MW product. No stinging. Once it dried no film feel was left on my skin. So now I used my normal on the right side. I found more makeup was left with the Garnier. Now my skin feels clean and not needing moisturiser now I have removed the Garnier from my skin.
The Garnier doesn't remove my mascara. I had to rub alot which is bad for around the eye area. I give 0 kisses for makeup removal.
The three kisses I gave on "would I use it again", yes I would only for cleaning my makeup brushes.
I absolutely LOVE this product, i've been super duper scared of actually trying it out, i've heard so many good reviews on it but i couldn't find myself buying it whenever i seen it at the supermarket, i've used it for two nights now, i have had no reactions (yay! i have sensitive skin so this a A++++ in my books), it does exactly what it says it does (which is removing makeup and it definitely removed my makeup in a jiff!), and it's actually really refreshing for my skin!
Tips: I used a cotton pad to apply it to my skin, i squirted a tiny bit on it and just rubbed it onto my skin, in which it made all my makeup come off and my skin squeaky clean, i actually done this before i jumped into the shower too so it made washing my face in the shower 10 times faster than what it usually takes!
When I first opened the bottle I was impressed with the scent, or lack thereof. It didn't smell like a fake chemical product. I had to put a fair bit on the cotton pad to get it to lift my make-up, and I'm not a heavy make-up wearer. It did an ok job of removing my make-up but to be honest not as good as another brand. It certainly doesn't just lift dirt away from the skin as the ad says! I had to follow up with my usual cleanser and a flannel.
Tips: You do need a generous amount of product so don't be stingy putting it on the pad.
I was dying to try out this product for the longest time, but I still had my Nivea micellar water so I had to finish that one up before I could start on this baby. Micellar water should seriously be called "Miracle Water" because it miraculously removes all signs of makeup AND effectively cleans your face too!
I'm probably being a little biased seeing as I've only had experience with the Nivea micellar and this product, but I truly feel that the Garnier Micellar water has helped the overall condition of my skin. It feels much smoother and cleaner, and I always know for a fact that all traces of my makeup (yes, even waterproof!) have gone.
Since using this product (think mid February) I've also found that I barely have any breakouts anymore which is amazing, and also why I'm reluctant to switch over to the Simple or Essano micellar which I stocked up on awhile back (I know.. my micellar obsession is a tad out of control).
I cannot praise this enough, especially for us lazy girls who aren't bothered to use a facial wash with water or cleansing brush or do a complex nighttime skincare routine when we're super tired and just want to sleep. I use this every single night without fail after a long day at work or a night out, and it only takes me a few minutes, then I can doze off straight away assured that my face is completely cleansed. If you're like me, this product is perfect for you.
Tips: Use a cotton pad lightly soaked with this product and wipe your entire face first. Then a second one to make sure that all traces of makeup are gone.
