I wasn't sure what to expect from a Garnier Water - but first of all when this arrived I was impressed at the full size of the bottle! I wear minimal/natural makeup, (primer, powder, blush, shadows, mascara) and this comes off in 2 cotton pads worth of cleanser. It's light and fresh feeling, great for removing everything before bed. My skin can be either oily or dry, but using this my skin didn't react badly at all.

Tips: Much better than cleansing wipes - pour some into a travel bottle, pack some cotton pads and enjoy the fresh feeling without the stickyness regular wipes leave behind!
When I first received the bottle I must say I was a little disappointed in the bottle, it looked a little cheap. Straight away I tried a bit of the water on a tissue and my face instantly felt so soft, I used it again before bed and likewise my face featl very soft. Now baring in mind I do not use makeup, I can not comment on the removal but as a cleaner I was happy. I used the product every night and was very happy with the cleaning it did. Howv er when I used it in the morning before my shower while my skin did feel cleaner I still felt the need to use my regular cleaner and give my face a good scrub with the face cloth. I do suffer from a bit of hormonal acne even at the age of 41, so would like to try the product a little longer to report on how it reacts with my hormones. In short I would give it an 80% as I did love the way my skin felt after use, and the ease of cleaning :)
Tips: Not owning cotton swabs I just used tissues and it worked well
Packaging is simple but nice. The bottle is a big size which is great. I had to apply quite alot to my cotton pad to get my make up off. It didn't hurt my eyes when I took my eye make up off which was surprising so I loved that. Although everything was great I did feel the need to wash my face after taking all my make up off as it felt oily. Other wise this is a great product but is a little over priced.
This product is amazing. It defiently took all my makeup off which is great for your skin yet it it didn't feel heavy or yuck on my skin. I have sensitive skin and it works well for me. I have found that it can be used for other things as well including cleaning your makeup brushes in between cleaning (cannot replace cleaning though as it won't get rid of bacteria Maybe?). This is perfect for when you are having a lazing girl moment as it not only takes off makeup but cleanses the skin as well so if you really don't want to do anything you can simply put this on (and you don't have to rinse!!!!). Overall it made my skin feel great and I will be re purchasing.
Tips: You don't need to use as much as they say as a little goes a long Way. I used half of what they said and it did my whole face well.
My first impressions of this product was what a great size for the price. The packaging is simple and not too fussy ( which I prefer on skin cleaning products), with a handy click lock lid.
The first time using the product, I was pretty impressed. a little went a long way on a cotton pad, and the product easily glided across my face, quickly removing the makeup. It also easily removed my eye makeup very well without stinging, which was almost too good to be true!
After use, my skin felt really clean and fresh, and not oily ( as i expected). Overall a great feeling. I did feel the need to then try a cream cleanser, which did clear some further foundation residue, so not 100% convinced it would replace a cleanser, but it is so much better then facewipes, and would be perfect for lazy days, or when you are against the clock.
Overall I would highly recommend as a staple in your cupboard, as a great product to rely on (especially for removing eye makeup without being left with an oily face!)
Tips: A little seems to go a long way on a cotton pad.
Love this product! Only a tiny wee bit on a pad removed most of my makeup on one try! Didn't have to wipe or scrub my skin very hard, even for my mascara panda bear marks.
Only annoyance I have is the size, being much too big to even think about putting it into make up bag.
Overall, fantastic product! I have sensitive dry skin usually, and found that it didn't react or sting whatsoever! Will definitely recommend :)
i was sceptical,a water cleanser? wow it does exactly what it says.my skin felt great after the first use.it removed all my make up,my skin felt smooth and soft.I did wonder if it was just washing off so I had a no make-up just a moisturizer day.i used first thing in the morning, then at night. I was astounded.the removal pad was really dirty.the amount of grime from just one day.wow wow.love it.
Tips: so easy to use.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water does what it says it will, It genuinely felt as though I was rinsing my skin with water, there was absolutely no irritation or tightness after I used it. I really can’t see ladies with sensitive skin finding this too abrasive at all. Garnier promises this to be a one-step product for face, lip and eye make-up. However, I can’t say that it got rid of every trace of my waterproof mascara, but I am yet to find a cleanser that has been able to Remove it 100%. Only a small amount on a cotton pad is needed so the big 400ml bottle for $12.99 will last months!
I was fortunate enough to be selected to trial the Barnier Cleansing Water, so I am not actually sure if it is on the shelves yet. The bottle arrived as is, no box or additional packaging (which only pushes the price up), and is sturdy and attractive, albeit somewhat plain, so I was not about to expect miracles (surprising how packaging psychologically makes it look inferior or superior). Strong clip on top to the lid. I opened it and could not smell any fragrance - which for me was a bonus. I duly wiped half of my face with cotton pads and the Micellar cleansing water and the other half with plain water. After three light wipes the half cleansed with the Micellar was sparkling clean. I then wiped it with a gentle toner (which always manages to get a little more make up off) but to my surprise the cotton pad was left clean. I repeated this on the side I had cleansed with plain water, and carried on until I had used the toner more than 6 times and make up was still coming off. Yes, it definitely works, at the price it is certainly affordable, and I am sure will last a couple of months. My skin was left super clean. I have used this a few times now, and I am sold! Very gentle, no tingling, no oily residue, no tight feeling afterwards, just a soft and very clean skin. Congratulations Garnier you have nailed it with this one!! I am off to look for some for my daughters......
I had never heard of Micellar Water prior to getting this trial, so was a little unsure and sceptical of what it would be like.
The bottle is pretty large which is awesome although I can imagine not so great for travelling (definitely going to be decanting into a smaller one!).
I tried this with a full face of makeup and didn't expect it to really make much of a dent. I was really surprised that I did remove pretty much all my makeup and eye makeup. However, it took about 6 cotton pads to do so! Each time I got a new pad I could see there was less and less makeup coming off and I think it was probably the capacity of the cotton pad rather than the cleanser that prevented it all coming off straight away. Did work work on the eye makeup too and I generally only get results from one or two different eye make up removers!
I found my skin was feeling a little sticky afterwards, however I put my moisturiser on and this feeling went away so was probably just the product needing to dry on my skin.
I still like the feeling of washing my face in the mornings (or I don't feel like I've woken up properly!) so I will be sticking to my foaming cleanser in the mornings but this would be a good refresher pre - workout/gym or on the odd occasion I'm not showering straight away!
Tips: Be prepared to use a number of cotton pads if you are wearing a bit of make up!
