I was pretty skeptical about this product to begin with, how could something so simple be THAT great? I was pleasantly surprised. I applied it to a large cotton make-up pad and found it to be very effective at removing make-up although a wee bit stubborn at removing eye make-up but nothing's perfect. A little goes a long way so I can imagine that it'll live up to the claim that it'll last a long time. It does leaves your skin feeling a bit sticky after initial cleansing but it's brief and afterwards it leaves your skin feeling quite smooth. I'd say I have normal to dehydrated skin and it hasn't dried it out at all or caused any major breakouts. Only upset I have is that I have developed a little rash type area on my chin that I've never ever had before, I can't 100% say that it's caused through using this product though as could just be convenient timing. There's products out there that do alot less for alot more money so I'd consider this product to be a wise investment and would definitely repurchase.

Tips: With such a cheap price tag it is definitely worth grabbing a bottle and seeing if it works for you too!
This is such an amazing product for a lazy person like me~ it removes makeup, even waterproof ones (it takes a bit of effort, had to rub a few times), leaves my skin feeling very clean and soft; but at the same time it doesn't dry out my skin.
I have sensitive eyes that reacts badly to cleansing products that no need to wash off, sometimes it stints so bad, but surprisingly it didn't stint a bit while using the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, it wasn't uncomfortable and I wasn't scared of using this product around my eye areas.
The only negative thing I would say about this product is the smell, I am not sure if it's just me or... others feels the same?! To me it smells like freshly cut grass / bamboos smell, I couldn't handle it during my first few uses, but I am slowly getting use to it now.
Overall this is such a great product! Easy to use, cleanse skin well, removes makeup even heavy ones, leaves skin feeling very soft and smooth.
Tips: I usually pour a bit of the cleansing water on a cotton pad and wipe it on my face. On days that I only wear foundation and lipsticks, it takes around 6 cotton pads to fully remove my makeup.
I've never used or heard of anything like this, and if there was, it's not this affordable. Despite reading the mechanism behind it, I was surprised it didn't smell chemically at all! It was very neutral, no fragrance at all.
It took 2 cotton balls (split each in half) to remove my face make up completely and half a cotton ball to remove my waterproof mascara. I was hesitant to put this on my eyes, expecting it to sting with its chemical properties but I felt nothing at all, and most importantly it removed all of my eye make up!
Although you would need a couple of bags of cotton balls a month to remove make up alone, it is a great value and good lazy make up remover. I still had to rub skin to get the make up off, but I don't have to deal with water running down my arms when I wash my face. Would definitely buy again and recommend this to anyone for camping, sleep overs, or at work at the end of the day.
Tips: To remove mascara, hold the dampen cotton ball over your eye for a few seconds so the product will remove more easily and prevent extra tugging.
This product has very simple packaging and instructions and is very competitively priced. It is easy to use and has minimal smell. I found it left my face a bit sticky although that soon disappeared and could also be due to the humidity we've had lately. I tended to use it before I had a shower in the morning and night and used water anyway afterwards to wash my face clean. I felt it did a reasonable job but am not entirely convinced my face was 100% clean afterwards.
Wow! What can I say, I've never been so excited about a product before! And this little (well it's a whopping 400ml) has lived up to its hype and expectation. I am thoroughly happy with this product! Just soaking a cotton pad with this magic water and it swipes away any waterproof mascara or tinted long lasting lipstick! And the best thing is that it doesn't sting my eyes or leave oily residue on my face. I can't get over how lightweight and clean it feels and the texture is just like water. It has a faint perfume smelly but nothing overpowering or unpleasant. I'm just absolutely blown away by how good this product is at removing my makeup. Compared with the famous Bioderma, this product definitely is a strong contender, and it surely wins the price factor. I will be happily using this forever until they make something even better!
Tips: Invest in good cotton pads, you don't want ones that leaves fur balls all over your face. Buy proper cotton pads for the best experience and result.
I was overall very pleased with the Garnier micellar water. I found it to be quite effective at removing makeup without having to rub - the one exception to that was when I wore a heavy smoky eye with multiple layers of product and needed to remove it quickly. In those cases in future I would take most of the makeup off with a cleanser first and then remove the rest with a micellar water - I didn't initially because I wanted to see how the micellar water would perform on its own.
The micellar water is fragrance-free to my nose and does not irritate my skin at all. I did notice that after using a lot of it to remove heavy makeup it did leave my skin feeling slightly tight, but that isn't really a concern to me since I always follow up with moisturiser (although I did take off one lippie for that as it did not feel as "soothing" as Garnier claims).
I will definitely be repurchasing this product as it is extremely effective at removing makeup, doesn't irritate my skin and is at a reasonable price point. I am going to decant some into a smaller container for on the go or on holiday so I will always have it with me. It is also going to become a permanent part of my makeup artist's kit. I am so glad I got to trial it - thank you BR!
Tips: To effectively remove eye makeup, take a cotton pad and peel it apart into two pads. Saturate the pads with the cleansing water and place one pad on each eye. Gently press around the pad so it adheres to the eye. Wait a minute or two for the cleansing water to dissolve the makeup and then gently wipe it away (I usually brush my teeth while I wait).
I'm one of those people who doesn't have time for lots of fussy routines, so I was really pleased to trial Micellar Cleansing Water, mostly because it can be used eye makeup as well.
Although it is called water, I was unprepared for the fact that the consistency is that of...water.. That made me sceptical, how could this water do water plain old tap water can't? Well I was pleasantly surprised. I applied the Micellar Water with a make-up remover pad. It glides over the skin effortlessly and I could visibly see by the residue on the pad that it was cleaning the make up off my skin. My skin felt refreshed after using it and I looked forward to using it each day, especially before I went to bed at night.
The product promises to be effective on eyes, if I was to be a little critical I found it wasn't very thorough at getting mascara off, but that wasn't too bad, a little rubbing got most off, so for the most part I do think the product delivered on what it promised.
Price wise, this product is RRP $12.99 and I think that represents excellent value for money. I researched Micellar Water when I was picked for the trial, as I had never heard of it, and most were alot more expensive, so I think Garnier Micellar Water's price makes it alot more accessible for the average person.
The packaging is appropriate but I have one issue with it, the cap is designed wrong. It says about 1/2 a teaspoon is all that's required, but the cap prevents the flow of the water so hardly any comes out, so you have to give it a bit of a shake and then too much comes out.. it was annoying.
I have only been using the product for a week, but so far I am happy with how it makes my skin feel, how it cleans and how I can put make-up etc on after I have used it.
I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
Tips: Be careful pouring it out or you'll use too much, which doesn't matter on your skin, but it won't last as long.
I was excited to trial this product, having read a lot of great things about it.
Pros: - Generous 400ml sized bottle with simple but eye catching graphics. I'm slightly skeptical of the bottle containing enough for 200 uses. Maybe if you don't wear full makeup. - The water has a neutral 'fresh' smell. No cloying perfume, which I appreciated. I used it on a cotton makeup remover pad and it glided easiky over my skin. - I have red hair and the obligatory pale, sensitive skin. The water left my skin feeling slightly tingly, like with a very mild toner. I have always been a creamy cleanser, toner & moisturiser girl, using a washcloth instead of wipes or tissues. I always use an organic cleansing range for my normal routine due to sensitive skin. This product caused no adverse reactions. There's a slight tacky feeling afterwards, like with gels or serums. - All foundation came off relatively easily but it did require using 2-3 cotton pads.
Cons: - I struggled to remove waterproof mascara.
Over the course of a week I ended up using my normal cleanser for evenings, when I had a full face of makeup to remove. Then I used the Micellar Water to remove the last traces of makeup. In the morning I used the water by itself. Definitely a great product to have in your beauty product stash.
For far too long now i have failed to get into any type of cleansing routine....Not that other products didn't work... just that they were far too much hassle. Ok I admit it sometimes I can be a little lazy, however this is where this amazing product comes in FINALLY a cleanser that doesn't require a sinkful of warm water and more washing. I found it so simple to use that it might even make it into a reqular thing. Does it do the job?? Well no breakouts of the dreaded spots and fantastic at removing the odd bit of make up i did wear (first few days of Uni and all..) It says on the bottle no fragrance which is another tick right there, they call it a water and its easy to see why, if it wasn't for the opening on top it could easily be mistaken for a bottle of water ( in the dark by your sleepy partner) Overall thumbs up for this product from me
Tips: No face cloth = less washing but dont forget your cotton squares!!
I was a little apprehensive of using this. When it arrived, it looked like baby oil, which is just way too oily and heavy to use as a cleanser.
Rest assured it was anything but. The liquid is light and not at all oily. It cleans thoroughly without leaving any residue on the skin. It left a refreshing comfortable feeling on my skin. There was no tight dry feeling at all, neither was there a gluggy yucky film to leave on the pillow.
It takes more than the half teaspoon recommended to clean off all traces of makeup, and I found that I still needed to use a toner to finish the job. But my skin did feel great even before moisturiser. I can recommend this product highly.
Tips: Not really! Give it try - trust me.
