I have been using the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for about 4 days now. I've used it as a normal cleanse, a make up removed, and a way to clean my face in the middle of a day after a dramatic spilling incident with my 11 month old son! (ew!). I will say, it does what it says it will do. It removes make up and dirt and leaves my face feeling clean as if I've just used a cleanse and rinsed it off.
It is a really good sized bottle (400ml) and the spout is easy to just squeeze onto a cotton ball or pad. I have found you do need to be mindful about how much you use, as too much will just make for a watery face and it does sting a tad if it gets in your eyes!
It removed my waterproof mascara with ease, as well as many layers of foundation and primer! So removing make up - TICK!
It left my face feeling cool and fresh after use!
I have sensitive skin so I was prepared for a stinging sensation once I had used it for the first time, and perhaps a couple of pimples after a few days. NOPE! They did not arrive! BONUS!
My skin was clear and clean! I really do love it!
The one flaw: I do feel the tightness of my skin afterwards really uncomfortable. I have to use moisturizer straight away or it's really unpleasant.
I picked up a bottle of this a few months ago when I was in holiday in Oz. I quickly became a fan and promptly made requests to friends across the ditch to bring me more home. I would use this product in place of make up remover wipes or towels, I like the fact that its non drying and non perfumed. Its great to use to remove make up and is super gentle on the eye area. I also like that its non-greasy unlike other traditional eye make up removers. Generally my cleansing routine is to use this to remove my eye make-up and I may do a quick swipe over my foundation too, but I usually go to my cleanser and clarisonic for a super clean face. However on nights when I may have had one too many drinks, but don't want to wake up with a face full of smudged make up I will use this. I haven't found this product great to remove ALL make-up on my face and I would not use this in place of cleanser if I had a choice, but I like it better than make up remover towelettes as it doesn't have a drying effect. This may be just down to the kind of foundation I use (Estee Lauder Doublewear) which has pretty high coverage and therefore takes a bit to be removed! Never the less, this product is definitely in my daily beauty routine (I also think its helped grow my eye lashes - jackpot!) and I am super excited that its going to be on NZ shelves!
Tips: Great to remove eye make up. Stock up on cotton make up remover pads as you will go through them super quick! Perfect to use after a night out, or travelling in place of make up remover wipes.
