As it said it would, deep cleanse pores and reduce impurities. I did like the product for how refreshing it made my skin feel after washing face, but I did find it to be quiet harsh and dry it out while I was applying. I think for the price it is worth it, but maybe not the sort of product people with sensitive skin should use

I used to love this as a teen! Not so much these days. It's a little to harsh for me now. I used as a cleanser at night, my skin felt tingly/cool especially around my mouth, it makes the skin feel tight and dry after using too much so maybe ok just a couple of times a week. I think the scrubby bits in it are too small for me I like a good chunky scrub. I think this is more for for youth skin.
I was excited to try this product, as I struggle with oily skin and acne. The first thing I loved about it was that you can use it as both a scrub/face wash and a mask. The product claims that you can use it as a face wash and as a scrub as two separate things, however I found this boundary quite blurry. I found it definitely worked as more of a soft scrub, rather than a simple wash. The product has a lovely fresh smell to it and is cooling when applied to the skin. This is especially lovely when applied as a mask and makes your skin feel quite fresh when using it. Once rinsed, my skin felt a little tight, but this soon went away with moisturiser. After using it for just over a week, I didn't notice any particular long-term effects on my skin, but still enjoyed using it as a refreshing scrub or face mask. It seems like quite good value for money, as you don't need to use a lot of the product since it has a fairly thick consistency. Overall, I have enjoyed using this product, although the long-term effects have been a bit hard to see. I'm looking forward to seeing if I notice any positive skin changes after using it for a longer period of time!
I really like that a little goes a long way - it is great value. Just make sure that you really spend time making sure it is all off, as there is nothing worse than finding a patch of little bits of dry powder near the hairline, and then rubbing it in to your hairline and making it a million times worse (annoying moment I encountered during the trial!) I prefer to use it in the shower, and that way the water pressure really helps make sure it is all off. The scent is a very strong, chemical type smell so I would be wary of trying it if you are sensitive to that.
My favourite way to use the product is to gently rub it in for about 30 seconds, then leave it on for about three minutes. I found that was sufficient time because it would then start heating up on my skin, and I did not want to risk my skin getting irritated. So I would advise to only leave it on as long as the instructions state. I did this every second day. If I was using it daily, I would alternate between leaving it on for three minutes at a time and then the next day removing it almost instantly as again I did not want to irritate my face. It does claim to be a three in one product however I think it works best when you pop it on, lather it in (to exfoliate) then let it sit as a mask for just a few minutes (not using it every day).
My skin did not end up feeling drier or oilier during the experiment, and it did not get red either or break out which I was pleasantly surprised by. I think it helped with mattifying it a little bit, although not in a WOW way. Moisturiser is definitely required after use, or your skin will feel super dry and then probably produce heaps of oil to overcompensate.
I think I will switch back to my normal cleanser now or at least cut down on how much I am using this per week (probably to two or three times a week). My next idea is to try the scrub on my body skin instead. Although my face did not get visibly irritated, I feel like it might be slightly too abrasive for long term use on facial skin. Because it is such good value, I don't feel like using it on my body is a waste so I am keen to give that a go! Overall a decent, cheap option that is pleasant enough to have on rotation - just don't go overboard with the frequency of use.
If you had asked me a few years ago my thoughts on this product I would have told you it's a holy grail and would reccomend it to anyone in a heart beat. The more I used this product the more I noticed how it was damaging my skin. Yes it is a great exfoliator and gets deep in your skin but if used to often (daily) in my experience it can damage as the exfoliator is so rough. I noticed my skin was feeling raw after using it too frequently I find it to be too harsh for daily use but it is a great product for once or twice a week deep scrub.
Tips: Personally reccomend for using after a day of heavy makeup to make sure there's no makeup residue remaining after removing the makeup. Don't use it too often as it can be too harsh on sensitive skin
On trying this product I was immediately bought back to my teenage years when I first started using Garnier. The product is thick and glossy, it’s feels luxurious on your hands and skin. It feels slightly menthol like on your skin but in the best way! You feel refreshed, smooth and polished after using. When using as a cleanser it is light and frothy on the face. It leaves you feeling clean, but not stripped of oils. As a scrub and mask it is much the same, but leaves you feeling smoothed, plump and refreshed. The smell is pleasant, although a little stronger than it maybe needs. It is a very generous product portion wise and will last a long time as a little goes a long way. The packaging is sleek and the cap seals firmly so there’s no chance of leakage or wasted product. The RRP and wide availability means that it is easily accessible to all walks of life and would be great for those just starting out on their skincare journey and who need an all round product.
Tips: Rub together in your fingertips first to get a good lather going to make it feel extra lush going on your skin!
Garnier pure active 3 in 1 mask is the first clay mask I've ever used and it was surprisingly easy to apply. The smell hit me straight away, the smell of jif. I noticed after applying, my face felt like I had rubbed something minty all over my face and then realised it has eucalyptus in it. Second night of washing my face with this it kind of burnt. It did leave my face feeling super smooth and clean so I will still use this product for that reason. If you have sensitive skin I probably would not recommend this product.
Tips: Don't get it in your eyes, it hurts.
I really enjoyed this product, it delivered in the sense that my skin appeared healthier and had less blackheads. I was apprehensive about using a scrub and a product with salicylic acid daily, and did find that my skin was ‘squeaky clean’ post application. Some people may not like this ‘drying’ feeling. I liked the sent and I think it added to the overall feeling of freshness post use. So overall, I liked this product and would use it again, however personally I don’t think I would use it daily.
Tips: Use with a good moisturiser to follow.
I was quite excited to try this product as I am always keen to try anything that might help with pesky black-heads. It's a face wash, face mask, and an exfoliating scrub. To be honest, I like it as a ln exfoliator, but that's probably all I would use it for. It didn't do anything at all for my blackheads, and while it's not a bad face wash, I prefer something that foams a bit more than this. In terms of price though, I would say this product is quite reasonably priced. Smells good and is easy to use, but I certainly wouldn't rush out to buy or recommend it.
This product has three uses - a cleanser, an exfoliant, and a mask. As a wash it does what it says - it gave my face a good clean and got rid of excess oil. As a scrub it didn't really have enough "grit" to really exfoliate dead skin cells and unclogs pores to dislodge blackheads. And as a mask it did help excess sebum and mattifies the skin. It didn't dry out my skin excessively, but did need moisturing afterwards.
The product is like a clay mud mask consistency (with tiny pumice stone beads) but it was a bit slippery so it worked best if I rubbed in my hands before applying. I could remove it easily, though little bits would stick up my nose! The mask took quite a while to dry, so it isn't great if you are in a rush.
The biggest downfall is the smell. It has an overpowering scent, I think it is the eucalyptus, which I really did not enjoy.
Tips: Put the mask on before hopping it the shower, and wash off once in there
