I was looking for a replumping hydrating serum everywhere and was not able to find one that felt nice on my skin... that was until this was introduced to me! I am a changed woman and my face thanks me for it!
The consistency is just like any other serum however, I did notice that it was really easy to use and layer with other heavier creams without pilling and that was a real game changer! It is super easy to apply, a drop of each cheek, forehead, and neck/decolletage and then I just used circular motions to let it absorb into my skin. The directions say to use a full dropper but I think that is a bit too much so resorted to a few drops around the face and neck area and that was sufficient!
I've used this for just under 4 weeks and only have a few full dropper drops left so I'd comfortably say a full bottle will last around 4 -5 weeks. I do think that for the price point, of around $30-$40, this is pretty standard and with the results that I saw on my face, it is worth it.
I found this to help with my fine lines around my eye area really responsive and my overall face felt very hydrated and plump! I received a compliment from a friend and they noticed how my eye area was looking more plump and youthful. I can only put it down to this serum since this was the only thing I used both morning and night.
I was a part of the trial team reviewing this product and the rest of the products in the range. I trialled the Garnier Skin Active Hyaluronic Aloe Replumping Serum 2x a day for the past month, along side the gel wash, and day/night moisturisers.
I had never really used hyaluronic products before, apart from the occasional face sheet mask, so I was really interested to see how it would benefit my skin.
It was easy to incorporate into my skin routine as I hadn’t been using a serum, and it was easy to use morning and night.
The serum has a great consistency, and like the gel wash, it also smelt faintly like aloe vera. The serum soaked into my skin really well, but I did find it felt a little bit sticky/tacky, although this did go away after 15/20minutes and applying make up over the top of it was fine. I saw a big improvement in my skin from using the serum, dry patches around my nose stopped flaking and stubborn spots on my chin and around my mouth cleared up.
The packaging is nice and I like that the bottle is made from recycled glass. It is also cruelty free and has no animal derived products, which made me feel good about using this product.
Overall, my skin felt smoother, less visible fine lines from the plumping and fresher from using this product. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to incorporate Hyaluronic acid into their skin routine.
Tips: Best applied to cleansed skin, and let the product soak in for 15 mins before applying any make up. It’s very gentle, but if nervous or new to hyaluronic acid products, start by using once a day and build up to using morning and night.
