Tips: Applied after the cleanser and serum to absorbed well into the skin overnight , spread easily while skin was still warm
I used all 4 of the Garnier Hyaluronic Aloe on this trial and all together the regime works to really hydrate your skin and restore bounce and elasticity. It’s hard to say how each product works individually better than the rest but I did love the last step of the day in using this night cream. You scoop out a big fingertip full and just let it sink into your skin knowing you’ll wake up hydrated. Yes it was a bit cool though putting quite a heavy water based product on your skin in the depths of winter! This seemed to be the only one that had a wee bit of colour in the gel - might be from the Argan oil. One issue I did have though is after a scrub session my skin became a little sensitive when I applied this (is it the salicylic acid?) so the next time I scrubbed I switched to a more milder product with zero actives. I have to admit to missing my L’Oréal midnight cream as the Garnier gel just isn’t as smoothing as midnight and I had a few bumps especially around my jaw line that I don’t normally get with the L’Oreal. I will still enjoy using up the jar though. I do also appreciate that this gel was 98% natural and even the pottle contained some recycled glass.
I found the jelly texture a bit weird at first but I liked the refreshing feel of this jelly/cream (it’s definitely not a cream!) it was quite soothing and more moisturising than I expected.
Tips: Don’t use too much to start!
From experience gel moisturisers are on the lighter side, and so i didn’t really have huge expectations for a night gel moisturiser, except maybe on a hot summer night where a lighter cooler product is needed. I used this during winter so thought my skin would wake up thirsty. This was not the case! In conjunction with the serum, my skin looked and felt nice and hydrated each morning. Like the day jelly it spreads well and removes the tackiness from the serum (if using beforehand) This is another jar product so if you don’t like sticking your fingers in there, you might want to think again. The downside is that as a result of changing all my skincare products to try this out, my skin purged throughout the trial. Because i used several products at once, i couldn’t tell if it was the combination or one product. I do like this gel, but the breakouts were getting a bit annoying, especially at my age!
My skin did look hydrated and smoother after every use and just looked healthy.
The jelly texture is very cooling and refreshing to use which I prefer in a day cream not a night cream.
The scent isn’t too overpowering like a lot of Garnier products are and fades away pretty quickly.
It can feel a bit sticky for awhile after application but I’ve been told this will always be the case with quality hyaluronic acid.
I didn’t really notice a difference between this and the day cream.
I probably won’t use it again as I prefer to use a cream at night rather than a jelly.
The HA Aloe night jelly is light, it wasn’t sticky and greasy, I didn’t need to use much to get a good coverage on my face and neck. There wasn’t an applicator I dipped my fingers into the tub to apply. The night jelly didn’t have much of a scent which I liked and went on smoothly after using the HA Aloe serum. I thought my skin looked plumper and refreshed in the morning after use. It is one of my favourite products in the Garnier Skin Active range and would definitely use this product again.
Has a nice scent. You do not need alot when applying onto your skin. It leaves abit of a sticky feeling at first but then disappears. It felt good on my skin but the jelly / gel like texture was not my favorite especially at night time.
I used the Garnier Skin Active Hyaluronic Aloe Night Jelly Moisturiser in combination with the Gel-Wash, replumping serum and Day Jelly Moisturiser.
I have noticed such a difference in the appearance and feel of my skin - I have been using all 4 products for approximately 1.5 weeks. In this time, I have not had any breakouts, any sign of dry skin or irritation. I have psoriasis so this is a massive win for me.
I used this product first thing in the evening after completing the gel wash and using serum.
This comes in a 50ml jar. It is clear, and has a thick jelly like consistency. It literally feels like aloe vera is being applied to my skin straight from the plant. Only difference is this jelly has a subtle but pleasant scent.
Im not sure why but I wasn't a fan of this. I think it is just the texture that puts me off. I wanted to like this as I really like what the combination of the 4 products are doing to my skin and the results I am seeing. I will continue using this however I am not sure that it will remain a staple in my routine like the wash gel and serum.
I really struggled to find any difference between this night cream and the day cream of the same line. The only notable difference I found, was this one has a slightly creamy colouring to it whist the day cream is crystal clear. It was very easy to apply and soaked in quickly. The scent is mildly astringent, not too bad with this one. Personally, I prefer a thicker, more nourishing night cream. The jelly definitely did not leave me feeling hydrated throughout the night like other night creams do. I did not wake up with ‘dewy, hydrated skin every morning’ as the packaging claims. If you prefer a light night cream that doesn’t leave you feeling a little oily, this is probably for you. At $21.60 it is definitely at the cheaper end of the night cream scale
Like the day moisturising jelly cream, it was very moisturising to the skin and lasts really long during the day. Felt light on application although can feel a bit stick initially, it absorbs right into the skin. I could tell that my skin had improved with just a few applications and is smoother and more luminous. I generally have sensitive skin and using this product did not cause any irritation or discomfort. It has a subtle clean scent to that is not overpowering. Very soothing and would definitely get it again!
