This is such a nice, refreshing treat for the end of the day! Once a week I like to do a mask and I might put this into my regular rotation. The mask goes on easily and the sheet is sturdy and well coated in serum. It feels lovely and cooling on your face, and you can really feel it soaking in to your skin. As someone with changeable skin I found this really good for detoxing and clarifying my skin. The smell is not offensive and the price makes it affordable for regular use. Overall I really rated this mask, my skin felt clear and refreshed after using and the serum left over soaked in with ease!

Tips: Use after a warm shower when your pores are open to really make use of the charcoal’s detoxing effects!
This product made my skin feel very clean and refreshed. Due to the fact that I only had one mask, it is hard to access what the full benefits of this face mask would be, as it states on the packaging for best results use 3 times a week. However, after one application, my skin felt more hydrated. I am unsure if I would use this product again, as I would need to be buying three of them a week to have the best results. The product fit my face well and didn't fall off during application. The only thing I found, was that I was having to move it around my eyes quite a bit because it felt too close to be eyes in some areas. They may have to allow for more area for eyes to decrease this issue. I liked that the smell of the product wasn't overwhelming. I can't see myself using these on a weekly basis. The mask made somewhat of an impact, but probably not enough to keep buying them. I found that at the end when I tried to rub in the excess of the mask, it didn't absorb very well. I was felt feeling relaxed and refreshed after I used it.
Tips: Ensure you clean your face thoroughly before application for best results.
I really liked this product. I used it after washing my face. It made my skin feel really soft and hydrated. However, I did not find that it helped my pores at all, they seemed exactly the same. Maybe if I used this product more than once I would see results in this area.
Tips: Wash face prior to use, maybe use warm water to open the pores and rub in the access when finished.
I got the pleasure of trying this baby out, thanks BR for the opportunity. The mask comes in a sleek black foil pack that at first didn't remind me of Garnier at all. Garnier is known for the lighter coloured packaging they have. This one was completely black apart from the bits of green and white writing. It sure grabbed my attention that's for sure. You can almost guess that it has charcoal in the make up of it from the packaging alone.
I teared the pack open and was blown away that the actual mask is completely black too. Render my heart happy and my mouth speechless. I read the instructions which say to smooth the mask on to the face and to adjust to the contours of my face. It smooths down nicely. I find it is a very slimy feeling on the fingers as I apply the mask. It's not the nicest feeling, almost like aloe vera on your hands. Nevertheless the mask was fixed to my face and I was described by my 11 year old as having a ninja face mask and only a scream could be uttered by my one year old.
The smell is very refreshing and definitely reminds me of aloe vera. The fact that is has black algae in it was both weird and intriguing. I like that it uses naturally occurring things too. My face is feeling very cooled and relaxed. I definitely feel pampered which is nice. I leave it on for 15 mins as the instructions state. I peel off and massage excess product (which is a gel like substance left from the mask) in to my face. It doesn't really absorb in to my skin like I would like so it dries on my face. What is left behind is a sticky but squeaky residue which feels icky on my fingers. I could do without that feeling but at the same time my face is very refreshed and feeling softer. I wish that I had a few more to give a more in depth review but as it stands I would definitely repurchase. My skin the next day felt far more hydrated and soft to the touch.
Tips: Cleanse face first.
I absolutely love a tissue mask so I was so excited to get this as a trial! I'm not absolutely sold on some of the things it says it does, especially how it says it refines pores, although I'm not keen to write it off completely as it might take a couple of times and also other products from the same range to help it work!
It did make my skin nice and soft and I did like the look of my skin afterwards, but I can't say it really did anything for my pores. My pores aren't overly large but they are still noticable, especially when wearing makeup, so I didn't notice this change at all with the use of the mask.
The smell was really pleasant and I think that the mask fit my face really well and also stayed in place really nicely, so such a plus there! I find others don't stick as well and tend to slide about. There was a lot of serum in the pouch, so there was plenty left to smother on once I was done with the tissue mask. I also really liked the packaging, it was like a matte sort of texture.
So overall, it was a nice mask to use and I would likely use it again, just not for the sole purpose of the skin texture/pores claim :)
Opening the sleeve containing the mask was easy just tear accross no scissors or knife required. Unfolding the black mask was tricky though. The mask liquid is clear. To get the best out of the product, I prepped my face and neck by exfoliating. I also put the mask in the fridge to chill it. A nice cool mask on the face in the heat is so good. I felt no irritation. Algae are powerhouse of nutrients, minerals that can help draw toxins from the skin, antioxidants and peptides. It is a miracle ingredient full of incredible therapeutic benefits for skin. It conditions, hydrates, softens and detoxifies the skin, replenishing essential vitamins and minerals and prevents free radical damage. I have never heard of black algae before so I did a bit of research there are lots of good things online about algae such as marine algae but finding stuff specifically relating to black algae I needed to do more hunting for. It apparently helps to draw out impurities and refine pores but this is the claim on the back of the packet I couldn't find much else specific to black algae. Activated charcoal in this is a popular way to exfoliate and deep clean pores the charcoal binds to oil and dirt trapped in skin pores and pull it and bacteria and skin impurities like poisons from pollution out out to the surface it has anti bacterial and disinfect properties. Some people even eat it! There is also salicylic acid in this mask so this helps to treat acne and pineapple extract in this product helps to loosen dead skin cells & clarify. Hyaluronic acid prevents your skin from water loss keeping your skin hydrated thus plump and supple thus reducing the look of aging lines and wrinkles having hydrated skin via good levels of hyaluronic acid allows for increased healthier new skin cell growth & maintenance. Hyaluronic acid is naturally in the body most of it in skin but age, sun exposure, pollution tanning and smoking means less of it leading to dry malnourished skin this is why using a mask or product like this will help replenish and moisture your skin for a healthier look and feel. It also calms redness and may help with some skin irritations like dermatitis. My skin feels good after using this and individual packet the mask came in made it ideal for travel. The mask is very mildly scented. I have no complaints except I'm not sure what "black" algae does. When I googled what it was it came up with how to get rid of it like from your pool and that it is toxic. I'm guessing the black algae relates to the black charcoal. It says on the packet the company are trying to help recycle so that's a plus and product is paraben free. I can't comment on the claim.of 24hour hydration as this product actually didn't arrive to me untill the day my review for it was due! Thank you for choosing me to review the product BR!
I love sheet masks. This one does what it says. Love how generous they are with the serum. I'll keep in packet and use in subsequent days.
This was an alright face mask. It was packaged well, easy to unfold & had a good amount of moisture. It did leave my skin feeling smooth and hydrated.
I’ve used a tissue mask once before so I kinda knew what to expect but it was still a little weird to start with. So I start with opening the package - which I really liked. Super easy to open, so you’re not sitting there for half an hour trying to tear it open with your teeth. And the colours of the packaging are nice too.
So it’s open and I unfold the slimy mask, trying to figure out the right holes to put my nose and mouth through. It’s chilly and weird to start with but it feels nice, and I think I can feel it working. I take it off, wash off the residue and my skin feels super smooth. It looked nice and fresh and glowing this morning too, will definitely try again
Tips: Don’t try to talk, sing, eat or anything else while it’s on. Sit back and relax with your eyes closed. Next time I’ll do it when I have a bath.
Please don't use my review as a base to buy this product this was just my own personal experience. I would have to say for a first time experience with tissue mask I'm not really impressed or a fan. I will start with getting it out of the packet, trying to unfold it and hoping not to break it in the process is not a fun experience at all. I don't really like the feel of it and trying to place it on my face was even a mission I got the tissue in my eye twice, maybe that was my own fault on applying it. I didn't really like the feeling of the tissue paper sitting on my face it didn't really feel like it was doing much but I sat there for the recommended time til it was time to get it off. I remove the excess product off my face as again I didn't like the feeling off it I'm guessing I was one of the unlucky people it doesn't work on because I really didn't see much off a difference in my skin or did hydrate it for 24 hours but seeing a difference is want I would of preferred. Over I wouldn't use this again just from what I experienced but its doesn't mean I want stop using garnier products.
