There are so many gradual tan moisturisers available now - which is great! I would spend hours in the sun scorching my poor skin to achieve a tan, but now I can pick and choose which products might give me the glow without the guilt.
Packaging: simple and easy to use. Not especially pretty to look at (unlike the lush matte black packaging of Luna Bronze)
Price: super cheap and easily accessible at the supermarket
Smell: the standard fake tan smell we all know. They have attempted to add in a fruity fragrance, but it definitely doesn’t cover the lingering smell of X-ray developer fluid (where the inspiration for fake tan came from!)
Feel: I got instant moisture from this lotion, but it only lasted about 2 hours. It is very lightweight and runny. But worst of all, it STINGS when applied after shaving. And not just immediately after shaving; up to 48 hours later! For this reason I will never repurchase.
Tan: I do appreciate the gradual tan formula in this lotion. It builds up in about 3 days on my fair skin. It can give a good base colour for a low price before I follow up with more expensive products that feature colour-correcting pigments to neutralise some of the orange tones.
These were the way to fake colour before at home tanners got so easy, and so good!
The lighter one was very very subtle, almost at a 'why bother' level for me personally. The colour tended a little orange, and I found the scent had an unpleasant chemical undertone.
Nice lotion, may give you a light light tinge of a colour, but not really worth it, for me. It's just as cost effective and simple to buy a proper tanner, these days.
