I love this natural cream for my baby, it is thick which is perfect to keep any nappy rashes away and to protect the skin. It glides on really smoothly, and has a nice light vanilla fragrance. A little goes a long way and I find after 2-3 hours for the next nappy change the product is still there and doing the job! Definitely worth the price because it lasts such a long time. The lid screws on and off perfectly, no problems. My baby didn’t get any nappy rash or redness with the product, I would definitely recommend to a friend

i love how its a natural barrier cream, i noticed i dont need to use alot which is good but i found after using it for a week that other products i usually use works alot better on my baby , it smells beautiful and does what it says it will just alot slower then other products. it would have been lovely if it came in a long squeezing tube then a container as i find that more convinient when it comes to barrier creams. it wouldnt be the first barrier cream i would buy and is alot more expensive then the ones ive used but it is also the first natural cream ive ever heard of. natural products are always better for babies but also a bit more expensive so in this case if its not working fast i dont see the point in buying it.
I was most excited to trial this particular product in the range as my daughter gets nasty nappy rashes. So to begin with the packaging is really cute and when opened I just fell inlove with the sweet honey scent. Next nappy change and I was straight into it - the texture is like a creamy body butter and its super easy to apply. Unfortunately after 2 days of using this product my daughters nasty teething rash came into full swing and I had to switch to a more medicinal barrier. I was disappointed that I couldnt continue using it. However not all was lost, once I gained control and the raw patches healed over I continued to use it as it boasts “moisturising and healing properties” and it didn’t disappoint. It brought the redness down and babys skin looked less irritated. Initially I lathered it on but in all honesty you dont need much at all and as a bonus Ive discovered that its like an everything balm - hands, elbows, knees etc. I love it. So for a 100g tub at a RRP of $14.40 its definitely worth it.
Tips: Can be used as an all over cream - targeting dry areas (hands, elbows, knees etc) just warm cream in hands and massage onto skin
Before trying out this product, I've used 2 different brands in order to manage the redness around my baby's bottom. I was looking for something a product that is gentle to the skin yet delivers optimum quality - and I finally found it. I noticed how the redness is well-managed (even after x hours of applying it). It definitely heals and moisturises the baby's skin, just as the packaging claims it would :)
Thank you BR for allowing me to trial this.So glad I found this Awesome product. My bubs didn’t end up with any nappy rash or red marks while using this. He does suffer from dry and sensitive skin so getting to trial this on him was really great. I’m converted. Product with Honey and Avocado AND coconut oil... bliss This comes in a easy to use tub and quite easy to get the product out. It glides on easily on the skin and has a nice mild honey smell to it which I found that did last quite a while. I used this on my toddler twice a day just in the morning and night but found it to be really effective as I didn’t see his skin flaring up or having red marks. This actually seemed to calm his skin down a lot. ( thanks to the brilliant combo of ingredients) Price wise I feel it is a little bit pricey but with the results I have had with my child it is totally worth it. Would definitely recommend for bubs who suffer from eczema and sensitive skin.
I was selected to take part in the trial team for this product. I was actually really excited when these products arrived as I am a fan of Wild ferns range!
The box has this beautiful yellow to golden orange ombre with manuka flowers over it, and the most adorable picture of a baby asleep on a manuka flower - even the inside of the box is yellow with white manuka flowers all over it. The barrier creme itself comes in a white tub with labels on the lid and tub itself that are similar in design to the box, including embossed baby and lettering.
The lid is a screw top and there is a solid plastic seal to stop the creme from getting on the lid. Unfortunately I misplaced my seal the first time I used it, but that has not inconvenienced me much. It just means that when my child chucks the tub around and it lands on it's lid, there is creme on the lid.
The barrier creme has a pleasant aroma and I found it actually quite soothing on my hands. I get eczema on my fingers, and if anything I found it soothed them and helped them heal. The texture wasn't as thick as the ecostore baby creme we have been using, and I liked that. Especially now that the morning are colder, it made it very easy to get out of the tub and warm a little before putting it on his bottom. I found I didn't need much and it spread quite well. I also found it helped heal any problem areas at the same speed that bepanthen does too.
We used this every night after his shower and every morning when he wakes up and there hasn't been any problems since we started using this.
I would highly recommend this product, it would be a fantastic gift for a friend with a newborn. We will be repurchasing, that's for sure!
Tips: A little goes a long way! Remember you can always add more if you haven't used enough!
I got a lot more use than I anticipated from this product. It's a different consistency to the oily barrier cream I usually use, more of a body butter, so I ended up also using it as a moisturiser. It was a good sized tub too, not so small as to be used up quickly, but not too big for the nappy bag, so it has ended up doing a lot of travelling with me.
As a barrier cream I'm not sure it's heavy and greasy enough to do the trick for serious nappy rash, but I'm sure that used consistently as a preventative it will be fine.
Bonus, this has a pleasant scent and you might want to steal it for yourself instead!
Tips: This doesn't contain artificial fragrance, so is a good choice for mammas worried about artificial chemical exposure.
Prior to using this product I was using the normal bepanthan barrier cream - never again will I use bepanthan. I am converted. The honey babe barrier creme is amazing. It comes in a 100ml pot for only $14.40. I have been using it for a week and will never go back, we have had no redness or irritation. Hallelujah! With Mānuka honey 80+ which is renowned for it healing properties it also contains Avocado, Coconut, Sweet Almond & soyabean oil plus Rosehip & Calendula essential oils to soothe and rehydrate with natural beeswax providing a protective moisture barrier to help prevent irritation and soreness. The smell is amazing it kind of smells like honey cocoa butter. Once again Wild Ferns have been able to provide a 99% natural product, that comes in recyclable packaging and it’s Made in New Zealand! Seriously what more could you ask for.
Tips: Buy it try it you will love it.
The product's smell took you right back to the memory of the little bundle you held in your arms. We only experienced a little teething rash that needed to be cleared up once over the trial period so it was hard to judge, what I did notice it took the redness down by 50% within 12 hours and completely cleared within 24 hours. I was determined to use this product and give it a full review so I decided to try it on myself. I have suffered from flare-ups of psoriasis so what better way to see if it would take the redness and itch out of something that usually needs steroids to clear up. I was shocked to notice after applying within 10 minutes the itch was gone! even more so when after 48 hours it was appearing to clear itself up (now because of the nature of the condition I will always have flare-ups caused by all sorts of factors but it was extremely reassuring knowing I could go to this product first before using a steroid cream directly on it). It would be interesting to see if it helped sooth other skin conditions so if you are running out of options there would be no harm in trying. Obviously, I am impressed by the repair of this product and will definitely be having it in the cupboards not only for my sons teething rashes but for my skin flare-ups too. I highly recommend.
Tips: test this product on other rashes, you might be surprised with your results.
This was sent to me as a part of the Mystery baby care pack. This is my favourite product in the pack. It comes in a handy pot and is an easy application. We've had a run of rashes in the past and I am always very cautious as to what I use as barrier cremes. This one quickly because one of the best I have used. It's thick and has a pleasant fragrance. Knowing that it has Avocado Coconut oil , Calendula and Rosehip puts my mind at rest. I'll definitely be getting another pot of this when it's over.
