The moment these products arrived I knew I would love it, from the cute picture of the little newborn baby on the box to reading it was made locally, to the heavenly sweet scent of honey. I had the barrier cream, body wash and shampoo and calming massage oil to try. First of all can I just say how beautiful and soft the fragrance is, it smelt so divine, I couldn't wait to start using it on bubs! The barrier cream was fabulous, thick and moisturizing and kept any sign of moisture that contributes to horrible nappy rash - at bay. My hands were even softer after using it in baby and I even began to use it as a moisturiser on my hands too! The body wash and shampoo was brilliant, I loved that it was a 2 in 1 so it cuts the time in half instantly, fiddling around with different bottles and products whilst trying to juggle bubs in the bath. It made her hair so soft and shiny and smelt great too. After her bath I applied the calming massage oil and quickly found that a little goes a long way and is very quickly absorbed by the skin. It was very moisturizing and she loved getting that little bit of extra t.l.c after her bath before bedtime. All in all I really liked this product and have already been recommending it to my other mummy friends. I love that it's 100% natural and locally made and not ridiculously priced either. I've already ordered the moisture creme and can't wait to try the soap bar too! Thanks beauty review and honey babe from me and mine xx

Tips: Apply massage oil after baby's bath before bedtime, it relaxes her and increases blood flow around her little body!
Was super excited to take part in this trial Shampoo with 2 under 2 we use a far bit of baby products as they both love bathtime.
I recognise the master brand Wild Fern from tourist shops and gift shops so was skeptical about quality and chemicals. But looking into ingredients they aren't too shabby.
They are also pretty affordable products just harder to source than some competitors.
Shampoo and wash This has a slight honey fragrance and love the pump bottle, so so handy when bathing 2 slippery wet little ones. All natural product is a huge bonus
Tested on both Miss almost 2 and Mr 9 weeks hair. Shampoo frothed easily and was super easy to rinse out. Was worried it would dry my daughters very curly hair but it dried beautifully. My son doesn't have much hair so hard to comment, he did gave cradle cap a few days later but I'm sure it's not related to the shampoo.
As a bodywash there was no reaction from their super sensitive skin. Nor did it appear to dry their skin out. They were both left delicately fragranced.
Nappy balm Same delicate honey scent as other products in range. In a tub which can be tricky when changing nappies.
None of my babes had nappy rash over the trial period so I can't comment if it helps. But will update when we get some.
Product itself is super easy to apply and doesn't stain unlike zinc based nappy creams.
This stuff is fantastic as a hand cream, makes my hands super soft. I highly recommend the brand promote this or even sell it as a hand cream.
Massage oil
Again dispenser is fantastic as oil is pretty fluid. Oil was has same fragrance as others in range oil was light and absorbed easily.
Finding time for baby massage is tricky, so I also added this into bath which was great when babies skin was bit dry. Use extreme caution though as things get crazy slippery.
Overal lovely product to gift for a baby shower and will most likely repurchase.
I confess I was a little hesitant to put my hand up for this as I'm pretty cautious about what I put on my baby's skin. When the products arrived I immediately checked the back to see the ingredients. I was really excited to find they didn't contain artificial fragrance. As a bonus, they still smelt lovely!
The three products I received to try were a barrier balm, a massage oil and a body wash.
The barrier balm was the one I found the most useful. The texture is similar to a body butter and I ended up using it liberally all over my baby girl, as her dry skin is prone to eczema. As a bonus, the size is great for fitting in the nappy bag or travel bag. I've ended up using it as a bit of a one-product-all-jobs. It wasn't quite as heavy and oily as my regular barrier cream (Tui balm), but that difference is made up for by the fact I can use this one for all kinds of jobs.
The massage oil was again a pleasant scent. Although I did use it on my baby, I confess I'm not much of a baby massage person (am I the only one whose kids get super impatient and wriggly when you try to massage them?) and I'll be finishing this bottle up on myself (a suggestion they have on their packaging!). However if you are a baby massage person, this is a great, gentle NZ option.
Finally the body wash. I found this a nice, soothing, gentle wash, again with no ingredients that I was worried by.
My only criticism of these products is that I found the scent lasted a little long - and I like my baby smelling only of baby! However, these are a really good option if you're looking for gentle, NZ made products for your little one.
Tips: If you're looking to try one product, I recommend the barrier cream.
Love all 3 products, in particular the barrier creme which can be used as a body cream as well. Winter is here and when the kids get runny nose, their nose area can get chapped. I use this around the nose and it works wonders
I was so lucky to be given the opportunity to trial the new Honey Babe range by Wildferns. These are beautiful NZ made skincare products for baby, with the main ingredient being NZ Manuka Honey, paired with other beautiful natural ingredients.
I couldn't fault any of the products I used on my little one - the massage oil, the barrier cream or the shampoo and wash.
All these products smelt so beautiful and natural/fresh. I didn't hesitate giving these a go and applying them to my little ones skin (im super picky with what I use on her skin). They all applied to the skin so beautifully, not harsh at all or irritating on the skin. My babys skin continually smells so yummy and looks so healthy since using these products. The skin feels extremely soft too! No dry spots on her skin or redness at all.
The range is really affordable as well, and all the products will last a really long time, making them excellent value for money.
Tips: Just give the range a go. I would definitely look at buying this set for my next friend who falls pregnant as part of her baby shower gift :)
We were lucky enough to have been chosen to trial all three products in the range, the body wash and shampoo, barrier cream and massage oil. Overall we loved all products and wish that they came in a bigger size as the oil was abit hard to squeeze out of the bottle especially once your hands are oily and you need to go in for more. My daughter is 21 months and came home with a tummy bug from daycare on the day we received the trial and the barrier cream was really put to the test as it was used after every change, it did wonders for her "raw" bottom, it also helped with slight dermatitis i got on my hands from washing powder. The shampoo is great but again wish it came in a bigger bottle as we're nearly finished, it does have a strong herbal scent but found once it connected with water the scent became way more pleasant. Overall we LOVE Honey Babe :)
Tips: Barrier cream, a little bit goes a long way and applies smoothly and doesn't tug the skin, i love putting the oil in a warm glass of water while my daughter is having her bath so the oil becomes warm for her skin when i need to apply it, which makes it also go further.
I have been trying the massage oil, barrier creme and body wash/shampoo. These are great products that are working wonders on my little ones. My son has eczema and the barrier creme has been working wonders on his skin, he is not scratching nor is his skin irritated. His skin looks hydrated and he likes the slight scent. I use the body wash and massage oil on my toddler and we are both loving them. They both have a slight scent like the creme which we like because its a relaxing smell not overpowering and does help to relax her which is a bonus. All the products are made with 100% natural products an are NZ made and i love that. They really do what they are supposed to and i have alots of mamas that would enjoy them too.
Tips: Barrier creme- very thick but works into the skin great. Bodywash/shampoo- 2pumps is just enough Massage oil- a little goes along way.
I found this trio great, all three products were mild and felt good on the skin. None of them were overly smelly which further confirms to me that they are natural as the products say. I would reccomend that you try the products yourself and enjoy.
I really like this range and I'll definitely purchase the barrier creme and body wash once they're finished. Although I did like the body oil too its just something I can't be bothered using - poor second child! This range is lovely and its nice to be able to buy and support a NZ company with such wonderful products that are gentle on babys skin.
These products are beautiful packaged. At the bottom in the corner of the product, it says the percentage of the product being natural. They are all 95% or higher natural which is so important when you are using products on your child’s soft and delicate skin. These products are all New Zealand made and cruelty free which is great if you are conscious beauty product buyer! These product contain Manuka honey which is scientific proven to have health benefits and being a natural product, that’s a bonus. I found these products safe and easy to use, simple and easy to read directions on the back of the product. The smell of these products is incredible. After using the body wash / shampoo I just wanted to smell my child all night. I found the barrier cream effective, it didn’t transfer much into the nappy so I didn’t have to reapply as much I have had to in the past. I loved the massage oil. I think this is such a great product to add to child’s night time routine to help settle them to sleep.
Tips: The massage oil is great for mums, not just babies!
