Hurraw Lip Balm

After hearing all the hype surrounding this product, I was intrigued to try it. I added it to my iherb cart numerous times but always deleted it before processing it. Did I really need another lip balm? Was this product as good as everyone said it was?

The answer, Yes and Yes.

I love the hurraw lip balm. I know im not a lip balm fanatic like some of you lovely BR members on here, but I do own a fair amount of lip balm and…. I have never finished a lip balm off. I have never been so addicted to using a lip balm that I emptied it and repurchased another one, even if I loved the product. Enter Hurraw.

I got the vanilla flavour, and when I first saw the lip balm, I was intrigued. It isn’t the generic circular tube, but instead an oval shaped tube. Genius. This doesn’t roll away from me, and I can secretly stash this behind the counter at work without fear of it rolling off and onto the floor. The packaging itself is effective, with the standard twist design, and a simple but effective label.

The product itself it nice. It has a nice sweet vanilla scent to it. A smell I love, although it doesn’t have the depth of scent that some vanilla products I purchase have, it still has a nice smell which I don’t find sickly. The product is easy to apply, and I find the oval shape especially handy at times of application because it just fits my lips really well, making the product easily and smoothly glide onto them.

I apply this lip balm all the time and I love it, and my lips love it. I find it hydrates my lip while I’m using it, but the hydration is only there when the lip balm is on and there are not obvious long-lasting or permanent effects or so I thought. I used this throughout the day when my lips were sore, and a bit dry, by the end of my day my lips were smooth and soft! It also gives my lips a subtle gloss, and is great for those days when I don’t want to wear a high maintenance lip product. However, when I compare this product to other lip balms I own, I do find it ever so slightly greasier than them, but the lip balms still have a texture and consistency which I enjoy, I just thought I would point that out for the sake on an in-depth review.

Another thing I love about this brand is all the flavours they have, and the fact that they have some unique flavours such as cardamom rose, and chai which are the ones currently sitting in my iherb cart! But they also have the classics, from the sweet vanilla and chocolate to the fruity cherry and grapefruit. There really is a flavour to suit anyone! Plus, I love what this company stands for in regards to its vegan aspects as well as it being cruelty free. An aspect I am paying more and more attention to when I purchase products.

Do I recommend this product to others? Let’s just say this is the first lip balm that I think il be using to the very end. Worth a try, and is really affordable from I herb.

So hydrating and i love that they are natural and vegan! still yet to find a scent that i love (i find a lot of the scents false smelling? idk hard to describe lol) but i still highly recommend!

I got the chai flavoured one because chai lattes are my all time favourite 'coffee'. This comes in a really interesting oval shaped tube, and seems to have a fair bit of product for the price.

The lipbalm itself applies smoothly and is quite thick. It feels more balmy than greasy, and doesn't leave an oily sheen on my lips. I wear lipbalm every waking minute and I feel like this one definitely does a good job protecting my lips from drying out.

The only complaint is that the smell doesn't really smell like a chai latte, perhaps it smells only like a pure chai tea or something? It's an interesting scent, not what I expected but not bad either.

Wow! With so many unique flavours to chose from, it was hard for me to decide. Eventually, i got myself the papaya and pineapple Hurraw lip balm. The scent was not overpowering. It smells nice, and I’m actually loving it.

The solid balm just melts onto your lips without any soft-flaky lip balm mess. The dial of the tube also doesn’t have the problem of turning the balm downwards when you’re applying, as I’ve had that happen with a few lip balm tubes i’ve tried.. It just runs away from you so you have to hold the dial while applying. I’m glad it’s not the case with the Hurraw balms.

I tried using this just before bed, as my lips are prone to overnight dehydration. My lips survived fine the next morning, and woke up with no dry or peeling skin.

The tube is cute and unique. It’s light weight.. it’s oval shaped so slightly flattened, which is handy to slip into your pocket or into your handbag.

Definitely something to bring with me when air travelling, to keep my lips nice and hydrated through a long flight; or when i’m out and about the whole day; or when i’m under some heavy air-conditioning.

Definitely adding this to my collection of daily lip balms. I wouldn’t mind using it as an over-night lip hydrator; but already have found my over-night lip staple.

Lip balms are not something i usually include in a gift, but this one will be an exception. It’s been a while since i’ve found a balm that i wont just leave in the corner, but would use until it’s finished.

Looking forward to my next flavour in line: The coconut.

I have the tangerine and chamomile flavour, which has added zinc SPF 15.

The citrus smell is lovely and the balm is definitely very moisturising. I don't need to reapply it for basically the entire day!

The only dislike I have is that the zinc content in this flavour leaves your lips VERY white. You would definitely want to go over it with a pigmented lippy, or at least make sure it is thoroughly rubbed in to your lips - otherwise you'll look like a ghost!

I have a Hurraw lip balm in Black Cherry. It has a lovely red tint and smells/tastes yummy (not like gross fake cherry). Really moisturising and contains nice ingredients. I will be buying more different fragrances.

I bought a few of these for myself and as Christmas pressies for people and also myself. I love the Night Treatment Balm and the Sun Protection Balm, they're sooo smooth and creamy it just melts into your lips and they smell really nice. Another plus is the Sun Protection one has zinc in it but it's not grainy and doesn't whiten your lips, unless you cake it on. The Black Cherry one has a nice red tint to it and without carmine. The Grapefruit leaves a nice shine on the lips. I just hope my vain little sister who I gifted it to doesn't get busted at school for wearing half the tube, as she loved it too much.

I have this in the almond flavour and it feels so nice on plus smells nice and sweet. My lips feel super moisterised and soft

I love the packaging as well, it isn't round like your typical lipbalm, it is more squoval I guess.

I will definitely be buying more from this range, they have some great flavours out plus it's always great to use something that is vegan and natural

i ordered a almound and green tea one of i herb and i love them ! there so moisturising and for someone who gets dry lips like myself it works so well ! i always seem to lose every lip balm i have owned but i love this one so much i cling to it! recommend for vegans and veges as its completely vegan and organic !!
