Again this is another product that I was enabled to purchase after watching a YouTube favourite blogger, but this is something I am excited that I have found and will continue to use probably forever as it is hands down my HOLY GRAIL eye cream.
Design: The midnight recovery comes in an appropriately midnight blue plastic coated tube, with a black lid. Gold written with all the details and brand logo. Opening the lid you are meet with a elongated nozzle type end which controls how much you can squeeze out of the tube at one go.
Formula: White, creamy but not too thick or fluid, this product comes out of the tube and melts on the undereye area. It has no fragrance and applied at night sinks in fast so you can get on with the rest of your skincare before climbing into bed. Although this is a highly priced product, the amount of it you need each time is so tiny that it lasts a long time before you need to repurchase and the effects that it brings in such a short time pay off.
When applying I do so by using a soft dab bounce along the line of where my socket is, not too close to the waterline as the skin around the eye area is delicate and you can over nourish it with creams so putting it a little lower on your skin allows the skin to soak it up without being overwhelmed. If you put on too much or too close to the eye you will wake up in the morning with teary eyes, this isn't an allergic reaction this is just excess. I haven't have any reaction other than the teary morning a few times and I have been using it for over 3 months now.
Results are almost instant, come the morning the blueness is reduced by at least 50% and there is no puffiness around the eyes. Lines appear more smoothed out after a full week.
I just love this product. I spent a good hour at the Kiehls counter at Farmers in Wellington, and this was one of my favourite products. It's a beautiful light eye cream, that has a slightly herbal smell - I'm not a great fan of herbal fragrances, but this one doesn't bother me. It's a beautiful cream, that seems to melt into the skin, leaving your eye area looking refreshed and dare I say younger? It banishes puffy eyes, and the results are obvious. It has a narrow nozzle that allows you to not over-dispense the product. A little bit goes a long way, and for the price ($62 I think it was) my tube has lasted nearly 3 months so far so it's well worth the spend.
Tips: Dab it gently under the eye area
