Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream Review

I'm pretty fussy with my daily moisturisers and creams as my skin can be a bit hard to tame. The Ultra Facial Cream was a nice addition to my skincare routine and seemed to be the perfect follow-up to the calendular toner and the super-serum and it was a treat to use a 3-step skincare routine from Kiehls - I'm usually not one for using the same brand, but I was stoked with the results of this trio. The moisturiser is smooth and creamy and was absorbed into my skin nicely. I definitely felt the hydrating effects and I can honestly say I have had no issues with dryness since using the product, which can be an issue for me as my skin gets quite stressed and tired. I found that I couldn't use this daily as it left my skin a bit too hydrated to the point I felt it got a bit dewy, so I need to work it into a broader skincare routine alongside another day cream - but for me this is a minor thing. It's a great product to have up your sleeve if your skin needs a moisture boost and can stay tucked away on those days or nights that your skin is feeling hydrated and you can sub another moisturiser in. Great product in an excellent line-up from Kiehls.

I’ve always loved Kiehls packaging and products and follow their instagram just to see and hear about their products and I much admit this was number one I wanted to try. So thank you BR. I had seen a read many things about this cream and was not disappointed.

This plain and simple packaging is so me. But I do love seeing their cute festive range also.

This creamy concoction is scentless, white and a cream consistency, but not too thick. It’s quite light weight on the skin and spreads so well. It’s not like spreading sunscreen. It’s so silky - and lightweight so I was ultra surprised! It definitely feels like there must be some sort of filler in there to make it that silky smooth but looking at the ingredients list that can’t be!? It’s just so smoothing on the skin!!

I didn’t use a lot just a few dabs and then blended in. I do have quite dry & sensitive skin, but my skin has been in great condition! This has been so moisturising and seems to last into the night and morning. I actually don’t cleanse and wash my face in the morning - I go straight to the sunscreen and makeup usually, but I have been loving my skin lately so haven’t really been using makeup at all! It’s in such good condition.

I think this range suits my age.. 35 for sure! Usually more natural based products I avoid as the scent, stickyness or effectiveness put me off and I stick them in the not for me category.. but this cream would suit a wide age group.

It’s been so soft and smoothing I have noticed my skin is more hydrated, smooth and soft. I still have those big wrinkles - nothing will change that but this has greatly reduced the roughness, tightness and dryness in my skin. It looks fresh and plump. And it’s so surprising as it looks like a simple cream with no scent but it is obviously packing some powerful ingredients.. it’s quite similar to a night mask I would say for your skin with the hydration it can deliver.

Thanks so much for giving me the chance to try this brand, i actually love it. I love the size of the container and its so easy to get into, the texture is a nice lightweight cream and it goes on so nice and smooth and absorbs pretty much straight away, i used it in conjunction with the toner and serum but for one day i thought id try it on its own and i found it feeling the same on my face. Its just the right amount of moisture for my face and has no scent so im well impressed. I also think a lot goes a long way with this product which is great as for me its in that next price bracket. I feel like there has been an improvement in the texture on my face and i don't seem to have any dry patches anymore and it could just be me but i feel like maybe the fine lines are evening out a little bit. :) Love love love. No negatives here for me a definite go to.

Packaging: Simple, clean lines. A little cheap-looking initially. I'm not always a fan of pot creams because of the hygiene factor of sticking my fingers into it daily.

Appearance: It's a plain white cream with a pleasant herbal smell. It's very smooth and not greasy, despite it's hydrating and heavy nature.

Use: I found this cream to be really great to use. It has left my skin really soft, and I think has started to improve the condition of it. It was too heavy for me to use twice a day, so I just use it once a day now. It has worked wonders and left my skin not hating the very drying hospital air-conditioning!

I was lucky enough to receive this as part of a trial team, and I'm so glad I did.

It comes in a little pot, with instructions on how to use at the front. It is scented, but I didn't find it unpleasant, overpowering, or notice it on my face after application.

The cream itself is light and you will find a little will go a long way, just a dip of my finger would do my face and neck. I have been using it twice a day for three weeks so far and I have barely made a dent in the 50 ml pot.

I found this product extremely moisturising - you can feel it as soon as you apply it and it lasts all day, but doesn't leave your t-zone feeling oily. I also feel like my skin is a little more glowy because it's nice and hydrated.

Overall, I would definitely use this again. While it seems expensive, the fact you use so little and the product works, means that I will be purchasing it again in the future.

The moisturizer comes in a small round pottle. It has a lightweight consistency and your typical cream scent.

To use, simply put afew dabs onto your face and neck and rub in.

I have been using morning and night, I have found my skin to be less oily and alot of my fine lines are disappearing which is great. I love that this product is lightweight and absorbs quickly. My skin is noticeably plumper aswell and I would definitely recommend this product.

Use in conjunction with the toner and serum

I have been really impressed with the level of hydration that this cream has provided. Stating that this cream provides 2.3 times more hydration is a bold claim, but a claim that has been backed up. I have very combination skin and have found this cream to be suitable for my whole face as appose to having to apply different creams to different areas. The cream is of a medium consistency, neither thin nor thick with minimal scent. a little goes a long way and instantly absorbes into the skin leaving no residue behind. Perfect for using at night or in the morning under foundation. This cream truly does everything it claims and in conjunction with toner and serum makes a fab trio

I was in need of a good moisturiser that doesn’t over hydrate my face and give me acne. I would say that this product does exactly that! I am not a big fan of the container that it comes in as I don’t like the idea of bacteria being on your fingers when you dip them into it every time. However the the moisturiser itself is lightweight without an over powering smell and easily absorbed. I was able to wear over a serum, under a foundation without feeling like I had a caked on face. I would love it if it came with it’s own plastic paddle to dispense onto my finger tips, but over all I think the product does what it says!

This facial cream is a beautiful thick cream that spreads easily and feels wonderfully light on the skin. It has no detectable scent, which is perfect as fragrances are generally an unnecessary irritant in beauty products. This cream is full of all the good stuff with none of the fillers found in cheaper products so well worth the investment for beautiful skin.

It is a treat to apply before bed and know its taking care of my skin overnight. A little goes a long way making it great value for money. This cream delivers on promises of hydrated skin and is definitely a new favourite. I'm looking forward to using it during winter, when my skin is extra dry.

This is a thick creamy moisturizer that effortlessly disappears into your skin seconds after its applied. It has a very neutral smell that disappears as quickly as the product. It's in a white 50ml jar which is perfect for grabbing just a fingertip blob amount of product. I love moisturizers in jars as there's no wasted product because you can reach all the books and crannies. I believe this jar would last me 2, maybe 3, months and would be happy to pay to have it replaced in my bathroom. My skin always feels soft and smooth after applying and stays that way throughout the day. Since using this product I have had a few people remark on how great my skin looks, and being over the hill that is forty, that feel great. This gets a highly recommend from me and I look forward to the difference continuous use of more than two weeks make.
