I love this brand but it’s definitely not something I can afford to use everyday. I was given this as a gift and what struck me first was the scent. It’s really heavily fragranced with of course Lavender. I love the scent of Lavender so I really enjoyed it but my husband and children did not. I started applying it just before sleep and the scent lingered on my pillow which again I loved but my husband who doesn’t like Lavender changed the sheets the next day. It’s definitely not the most hydrating hand cream I’ve used but it does the job if used regularly. Unfortunately it’s not a hand cream to use if you live with (or work with) anyone sensitive to this scent as it really is overwhelming. L’occitane is a very expensive brand so if you’re not sure about risking this fragrance then I would steer clear and save your money. It is a lovely product and if you’re a lover of Lavender and don’t mind spending a pretty penny then this is the hand cream for you.

Purchased from the l'occitane store in Wellington. Would I use it again? Yes in a different fragrance. Lavender reminds me of nanas.
I brought it on recommendation from a friend. It makes your hands feel nice and soft. I don't feel like my hands go greasy with this on. The lavender fragrance I don't like. It smells old fashioned to me.
The tube is a thick foil type tube (not plastic) with a easy twist on cap. It is really good for in my handbag.
I actually bought this as a gift for someone but i decided to keep it for myself because it is just SO GORGEOUS. It's from L'Occitane- their hand-creams are AMAZING. So this is nothing different except that this is my most loved fragrance.
The texture of the hand-cream is lighter than "heavy-duty" shea butter creams but does just as well in longevity and it nourishes your hands better AND it absorbs nicely leaving gorgeous smelling hands. I've tried some hand-creams that leave my hands feeling like their pores have been blocked, or too sticky to touch other things. or just overall "This doesnt even do anything". But the lavender hand cream does its job. Does it's job VERY WELL. My hands were much smoother and softer when I used this. With constant use during winter I noticed my hands being softer than I ever remembered.
The only down side is that it is expensive. As much as I love this and would want to use it for the rest of my life- I can't justify spending so much when I can find something that is *almost* as good for the fraction of the price.
Tips: Use in small amounts as this spreads nicely. Absorption rate is good but make sure to rub in places that really needs the nourishment.
I get very dry hands and I have loads of hand creams. I bought this as I have tried another L'Occitane hand cream before and it was awesome. This hand cream is fantastic. It is super nourishing for your hands and leaves them soft and smooth. it is a touch pricey for a hand cream but definitely worth it as you only need a small amount to moisturise your hands. Lovely lavender smell too.
I received this hand cream as a gift. I love the smell of the lavender, it leaves a lingering smell on your hands. I use hand cream regularly and I like that this tube is small enough to fit in my hand bag so I can carry it around with me. My hands stay moisturised for a long period after using the hand cream and I have noticed that my hands feel softer. I would definitely recommend this hand cream.
I was given this gorgeous lavender hand cream inside a L'Occitane gift box for Christmas and I just love the beautiful lavender scent.
The cream is packaged in a 30ml, thick foil-type tube with an octagonal shaped screw top lid which makes it very easy to grasp and twist, even when your hands might be slightly damp after washing them.
The smooth cream is a slightly off-white colour and it has a pleasantly thick consistency that is somewhere between a hand lotion and a body butter. A little goes a long way and the tube with last quite a while, as all you need is a small amount (half a pea-size or a little more if your hands are really dry). The formula of the cream is very hydrating and pleasantly scented, although it does tend to leave my skin feeling rather greasy.
Because of the rich, greasy feel of this hand cream, I chose to keep it as a "night" cream for my hands and only applied it directly before bedtime each night. This gave the hand cream time to sink into my skin while I was asleep and work its magic on any dry, rough skin. I found that this worked really well for me and the soothing lavender scent added a nice relaxing touch to my bedtime routine. The next morning, I'd wake up to beautifully nourished and hydrated hands that were ready to tackle the day ahead.
L'Occitane's Lavender hand cream is quite expensive but it makes a lovely gift for someone (or for yourself, if you feel you need a little 'treat'). I would definitely recommend it if you have very dry hands and I feel that its one of the better, deeply nourishing hand creams out there, if you don't mind using it at night or wiping off the excess "greasiness" on a tissue.
Tips: Use it before climbing into bed and wake up with beautifully soft hands in the morning.
