The first thing I noticed for a night cream for mature skin was that it is not really thick and gloopy like so many others. In fact it is less thick than my current day cream! But then I realised it is not just a night cream but can be used day and night, magic! It is nice and smooth, goes on evenly and I seem to use less of this than the usual creams. It's also non-greasy so perfect for day use. I would buy this again as having only the one product makes better sense and it is a good all-rounder.

The cream itself is contained in a heavy glass jar with a gold coloured lid. The jar comes in a gold coloured box. It feels like expensive packaging, which is nice. The product does have a very slight fragrance to it which is not offensive. The fragrance isn’t really noticeable after thirty minutes or so. I have now been applying this product for a few wks and can say that you only need a little amount for each application. It is not a really thick cream but when applied with the fingertips it is absorbed easily and makes the skin feel instantly softer and nourished. The cream is applied to cleansed skin morning and night. The product claims that after one week the skin will feel revitalised and softer. I agree that my skin did benefit from this. It also claims that after four weeks the skin is firmer with wrinkles visibly reduced. The skin should be more resilient and radiant.
I have not quite used it for four wks yet as I haven’t had it that long but I have been using it for three weeks. In my opinion this cream has made my skin more radiant for sure and it feels so soft but I cannot really say that I have noticed and difference to my wrinkles, however I will continue to use this as I like the product and I am keen to see if my wrinkles improve. It is also advised to pair the product with the midnight serum which I may purchase to get the full effect. I would say this product is economical as only a tiny amount is required for each application. I probably would recommend this product to a friend as I do feel my skin has improved with using and I am keen to try it along with the serum.
Tips: I feel you get get away with using this product once in the evening only as it works well on the skin overnight
This is a beautiful overnight moisturiser that doesn’t fail to impress. It has a lovely texture and is easy to apply and simply melts straight into the skin without feeling at all greasy or slimy. After several weeks, I am convinced that my skin is firmer and I have recently had many compliments on how radiant my skin looks. Something has to be working! I will continue to use this in conjunction with the Midnight Serum for best results. Highly recommendable.
Tips: Can be used day and night.
I really like this night cream by L'Oreal. It feels like a rich cream, but absorbs like a light cream. The smell is clean and fresh and it is not too heavily scented. It definitely leaves a veil on the skin, but I like the fact that it is not sticky at all. I wouldn't be able to comment on the long term effects, but my skin feels nourished and comfortable after application. I haven't noticed any sensitivity or adverse reaction. The packaging is gorgeous although I don't really like dipping my fingers into a moisturizer - so I use a little spatula. I also used this on the back of my hands - I hate using hand creams because I usually find them too sticky and rich. It absorbs beautifully and my skin looks more nourished. From a price point, it is very good value for money and I would be happy to recommend and repurchase.
Tips: This cream can also be used during the day - as long as you use a sunscreen with it.
I love L'oreal products and excited to try this. It is lightly scented and fast absorbing and once on does not feel heavy like some creams do. My skin really felt nourished by this cream and super moisturised. My skin feels lovely and soft and could see that some of my wrinkles had minimised. Loved it and will be one of my favs now!!
Thanks BR for the opportunity to trial this.
The product is in a heavyish black glass jar with gold twist lid. Not overly impressed with the look of it but I do find L'Oreal jars are a bit bland looking.
I followed instructions used evening & morning, although I was surprised it said to use in morning as I've read that night creams should only be used at night.
It's a nice consistency & smells nice but I wasn't overly keen on the fact it left my face feeling & looking a bit greasy after application. I even reduced the amount I applied & it still looked greasy. I wasn't too bothered in the evening as it soaked in made my skin so soft & kept it nicely moisturised. I found when I slept on my pillow my face stuck to pillow despite it being applied an hour or so before bed! For an evening cream it's great and didn't irritate my skin at all which I was stoked about. I found my makeup look greasy & shiny during the day so wasn't keen on that but it did keep my face moisturised. I have almost used the whole jar and notice my skin does definitely look smoother it has made my complexion look better and my neck & declotage don't look so wrinkled. I can't totally give this credit for reducing wrinkles as I think my facial cleansing device & other serums I use daily have contributed to it too. I had some dry patches on my face which this has sorted out which is brilliant.
I would buy this again but would apply at night only as I got through the jar quicker than I hoped and find it's too greasy under makeup. I noticed that it is quite an expensive product.
So overall I'm really impressed with this night cream
Tips: Use some on back of your hands to make them nice & soft Use in the evening only as I found applying in morning made my makeup look greasy
I was excited to trial this and its a been a winner. I used it morning and night. It spreads and blends into skin well. My skin felt instantly hydrated and nourished and my fine have started to decrease. This cream definitely has delivered on improving my skin tone and decreasing my wrinkles. Definitely my new go too!
Tips: A little goes a long way!
I’m so appreciative to have the opportunity to trial this amazing night cream from L’Oréal which is inspired by regenerative science. From the first night I felt this cream work it’s magic! That I couldn’t wait to do my night time routine before bed. Firstly it is a very hydrating cream especially great for this time of year when my skin seems drier than ever. I love L’Oréal as even though I have sensitive skin I don’t react to L’Oréal products and the midnight cream I found to be the same with even more benefits than ever. And the proof is in the condition of my skin, I can honestly report my skin is definitely firmer and wrinkles not as pronounced. This light cream glides on the skin it certainly isn’t heavy with a scent that to me is similar to a lot of L’Oréal skin creams. I’m a month into using and I recommend this night cream to anyone looking for a night cream to refresh, hydrate, smooth and have generally better looking skin. I have a very active job working with children so don’t wear much make up to work only a bit of bb cream and a little powder what I’ve noticed that I am using a little less bb cream to cover (to me that’s huge). Personally I feel L’Oréal have totally nailed this one - it does exactly what it says on the box it will regenerate the skin.
Tips: I will purchase the matching serum as I want to get the most out of this amazing product.
This trial cream couldn't have arrived at a better time for me. I had just arrived home from two back to back long haul flights and I was jetlagged and over tired. My skin was dry and very dehydrated. On my first application my skin literally sucked it up. It has a light pleasant smell and a nice thickness to it. I have used it for three weeks now and have most definitely seen a difference in the condition of my skin. It is now hydrated and has a welcoming smoothness to it. Unfortunately I have not noticed any improvement in my fine lines and wrinkles, but feel if I had started this product 10 years earlier it just might of helped. My only negative is that it has a slightly tacky feel when dry on the skin. But ultimately this is a night cream, so this shouldn't bother you if you are sleeping. I most definitely would purchase this again. Thank you for the opportunity.
Tips: A little goes a long way.
What I liked most about this product was the relaxing low key fragrance and the soothing feeling after putting it on as part of my night time ritual. It has a soothing creamy coolness that helps with the whole process of unwinding and getting ready for bed. My skin has definitely appeared fuller and smoother since using this product, with less visible fine lines.
The packaging fits in with L'Oreal brand, and I appreciate that the container is made of glass and so is recyclable. I also find the deep midnight blue colour quite appealing. It would be better if another material was used for the lid, something that was more easily recyclable, as most plastics are still not fully recyclable in Aotearoa.
The price range from my research online is between $35-$47, depending on where you buy it. I would be prepared to pay around $35-$37 for this, but almost $50 is getting a bit pricey for me.
Tips: Try putting this on, and then doing a guided meditation with a weighted eye pillow, for some extra luscious bedtime luxury.
