I'm a big fan of an at-home peel and have tried a few over the years, I've never ventured into the spa for one though. I've also tried a 30% glyolic peel at home before but it's something I'd use once a week at most. I think the lower concentration of these ampoules must be for a gentler, but more frequent approach.
I have quite sensitive skin although I've spent a fair amount of time building up it's tolerance to active ingredients. I would definitely say take care with this one if your skin is prone to redness, or is at all broken. I didn't experience any stinging or other reaction which was great!
My skin has some dark spots from past blemishes and sun exposure so I was excited by the claim that these would be visibly reduced. I didn't experience a noticable lift in the pigmentation of these spots but I can attest to the product improving the radiance and smoothness of my skin. I'm keen to hear whether others experienced improvements in dark spots.
There's a novelty factor to the ampoules, but I don't think any of it's recyclable which is a shame. I actively look for products in genuinely recyclable packaging these days- as I know many of us do- so I'd probably bypass this on the shelf?
The serum absorbs nicely and works absolutely fine under my other nightly moisturisers. If anything, there's a little too much serum in the ampoule but I just used the extra for my neck and chest.
There's a recommendation to be conscientious about sun protection when using the treatment which I think is great. If I'm splitting hairs though, I'd say SPF15 is not going to cut the mustard- especially in NZ! Luckily it's winter and I've not seen the sun in days!
I loved these 7 day glycolic acid peel ampules from Loreal Paris Revitalift. Although slightly fiddly having the little ampules made me feel I was using some kind of science experiment or highly concentrated product. I was dubious about how this little but of serum cloud make significant changes to my skin but as the days progressed I saw a more even skin tone and felt my skin had more bounce to it. Very easy to add into my daily routine and relatively easy to use. Maybe if the ampules were squeezable or opened right up it would be easier to get every last drop.
