La Roche Posay® Effaclar Duo Plus Reviews

One of the best pimple treatments I have used! I can see a noticeable difference in the redness and size of pimple after using it for a day or two. So happy to have discovered this product!

I officially have a new favourite facial moisturiser! After receiving this product to review I was still a little confused as to what it actually was. A treatment? A moisturiser? A blemish cream? After a little google research I realised it was a moisturiser for acne prone, sensitive skin. Perfect! Exactly what I had hoped it would be!

The packaging is simple and clean, although I wish they would include the words “this is a moisturiser”. I have oily/combination, sensitive and acne prone skin and I LOVE skincare. More importantly I LOVE this product.

The formula is so soft and silky and glides onto my face beautifully, if there’s one thing I can’t stand it’s creams that leave your skin feeling sticky or unclean. This is the opposite of both of those! I can’t get over just how wonderful this feels on my face. It’s has fragrance in it which is disappointing for a sensitive skin product but this will only cause an issue if you’re sensitive to added fragrance. I’ve had no problems with it!

The real test for me was using this after I had derma rolling this week, it soothed my face, didn’t sting and actually improved the redness considerably! After using this for the last few days I’ve had no new blemishes and all the ones I had at the start of this week have GONE. Totally and completely gone. My acne scars are fading already and I’m glowing.

The cream hydrates well enough (if you don’t have oily skin then it may not be hydrating enough for you) but I still apply my Nivea Cream over top in the evenings because it’s my holy grail and I need that overnight moisture!

Overall I am in love with this moisturiser and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

This cream-gel loves my skin. I’ve been using it for the past 8 days and have been using it as directed, morning and night and after using the Effaclar foaming gel. It has the feel of a primer in that it helps the skin feel smooth and ready for applying make-up. Not sure if others felt it could be used as a primer, but I have definitely felt that it helps my make-up to glide on more effectively. In terms of its effectiveness in clearing up redness and imperfections, I’ve noticed a quite obvious improvement in the look and feel of my skin. I would say I noticed the redness decrease after using this in a matter of 24-48 hours, that’s how quick and effective it was for me! I also love the feel of this product on my skin, it feels great, like you are giving your skin the ultimate boost of nourishment and hydration. So the fact that this cream-gel seems to act as a kind of make-up base, pore unclogger AND the ultimate hydrater is just incredible and I personally love it. I’ve had visibly-clearer skin with less redness, and it feels fresher and more supple. It’s a little tube of magic and I’m giving it the full five kisses.

I have really enjoyed using this moisturiser. I would recommend it to anyone with combination to oily skin that is prone to acne. I think if you were drier than combo it wouldn't be quite enough moisture, but for my combo skin it was perfect. I particularly liked it during the day as it worked well under my foundation, it smoothed the texture of my skin and it didn't cause my foundation to oxidize. Almost like a primer, I will continue to use it for this reason. It also didn't cause any breakouts which is a huge plus as I struggle to find even light moisturisers that don't.

At first I had no idea what this product really was because nowhere on the tube or the website says that it is a moisturiser or just a leave-on product under your moisturiser; but it talks about being hydrating so I treated it like a semi-moisturiser.

I applied this product every morning and night after cleansing, and it dried quickly and didn't irritate my skin like I thought it might.

I have noticed a MASSIVE reduction in oil on my face and I credit it to this product! After every day and every morning I wake up with soft, dry skin that would usually feel dirty, and slimy to the touch. It is completely controlling my sebum levels and is making me feel so hopeful and excited to not have to take trips to the bathroom at Uni to wipe the shine off my face. One day I did not use the product and my skin was oily again, so it might only work if you are using it; and not a fix.

The only downside is how small the tube is and the price because I know that I will want more of this product very quickly, and the price will really set me back. Overall, I think this product really works!

This is perhaps a miracle in a tube!

La Roche Posay® Effaclar Duo Plus comes in a 40ml white tube and like its buddy the foaming gel, it gives off a fresh 'dermatological' vibe.

It applies and absorbs nicely to the skin but I do find I need to use a generous amount to cover my face which seems disproportionate to the size of the product.

The La Roche Posay® Effaclar Duo Plus promises to correct imperfections and it certainly lives up to its promise. Before using this product, I was on the verge of going to a dermatologist regarding the under skin bumps around my jawline. Since using this product the smaller bumps have disappeared and the large ones are reducing in size. I have noticed blemishes dry and heal quickly. Overall, my skin is smoother, I feel my pores look more refined in appearance and my skin tone is even and clear.

My only complaint is that this product is not particularly nourishing as my skin doesn't look as plump as it normally does. This is possibly due to my combination skin rather than oily skin this product is designed for.

I'm thrilled with this little miracle in a tube and will continue to use it as a topical moisturiser on my problem areas in conjunction with my regular moisturiser.

I can't recommend the La Roche Posay® Effaclar Duo Plus enough!

So I speak French. You'd never confuse me for a local, but I have a rudimentary grasp. Well La Roche Posay had me so confused about what this product was!

The instructions (in English!) told me to apply to my face after cleansing. Apply where? All over? The tube and thin nozzle look like a spot treatment. And it does say to use to clear up imperfections.

I was bemused and confuddled trying to decide if it was a serum or a targeted treatment. So I decided the only option was to open it, squirt it out and see what it was.

It came out looking like a moisturiser. I was even more confused. So I opted to just use it all over my face as a pre-moisturising treatment. But my skin felt so smooth I've actually skipped the moisturiser and have just been using this.

The difference in my skin is phenomenal. The texture is more even. it feels smooth. Baby smooth. Even on my t-zone. It definitely counteracted the dryness I encountered with the cleanser. My nose crevices usually feel a bit bumpy with blackheads (I know, I'm gross). I'm touching them now and they are smooth. I'd let you at me with a magnifying glass I'm that confident in my blackhead-free nose crevices.

I reckon I'll probably get 6 weeks out of the tube (you don't need to use much) so the price is quite fair I think. I'll certainly be repurchasing - and probably trying more from La Roche Posay!

Super light weight and perfect for oily skin. Just like the cleanser this has a subtle fragrance of cucumber and you only need a very small amount. The tube itself has a tiny opening which is perfect for getting the right amount out. I used this daily for the past 2weeks and it has really helped to brighten up my complexion. Although was nice to use everyday I would say it is not needed everyday. Every second day or even a few times a week would be ok.

After washing my face I applied this product and went to bed. I was so happy when I woke up in the morning and my face was still smooth and there was no grease pit! It is in a great package and easy to use and you only need a tiny amount. There is no perfume but it does have a smell that I did need to get used to. The results after a week of using has cleared up my most of my adult acne.

Just when I was beginning to think I would forever have puberty skin, the magical Beauty Review Fairy sent me some La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus. I’m not really a dramatic person, except when I play Monopoly but I ask you to show me someone who isn’t? But this product has actually changed my face. I have been using this snazzy little tube of cream twice daily since it arrived and my blackheads have decreased in numbers. Something that I never thought was possible. I also have less spots and my skin feels smoother and softer. I would recommend this product to anyone who has troublesome skin and is looking for a skin-care miracle.
