This is a fantastic serum and will now be my go-to serum that I use morning and night. A little goes a long way. It soaks into the skin really easily and has a light, refreshing scent to it. It worked under my make up well, but there were also days where I ended up having a make up free day as this really makes your skin glow and this serum followed by some SPF was all I needed. I noticed over the few weeks that I was using this serum twice a day, that my skin did look plumper and healthier. You could see a noticeable difference. So this really works while still being gentle on the skin. I love it!

I have been so impressed with this brand for its gentle yet effective formulas. I was so excited getting a trial for this product.
I really like the focus on natural ingredients and simple ingredients that are great for sensitive skin like mine.
The packaging is simple, sleek and modern. I like the white and stylish look. This little package comes with a dropper that you use to apply the serum.
I just the cleanser and moisturiser from this range and my skin is the most moisturiser it ever has been.
The serum is a nice lovely formula. I apply it both morning and night. It’s been a great addition to my skincare routine.
My skin feels very healthy these days. It is moisturised and hydrated. This serum is a nice product, even for those with sensitive skin.
A five star product.
I was lucky enough to trial the La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 serum. I have fairly sensitive skin and have been incorporating more anti-aging products into my skincare regime so was interested to see how it went, although I don't have the obvious wrinkles or loss of volume the product appears to be marketed at.
I love the product packaging, it comes in a blue glass bottle with ab dropper applicator, allowing you to hygienically dispense a small or larger amount of product.
The formula itself is a lightweight, clear serum which I found very heavily fragranced. It actually reminds me of a perfume I have owned and is a nice scent, however I prefer my skincare to have a more subtle scent as I don't like unnecessary extras in them.
I applied a couple of squeezes morning and night to my face and chest. The product felt instantly hydrating when applied and absorbed fairly quickly. Afterwards my skin did feel very hydrated and 'plump'.
While my trial did show that based on my skin type the serum met it's hydrating claims and I would recommend it to those wanting a hydrating serum with any skin type, I personally wouldn't purchase it for myself as I found the fragrance just too strong for my liking, but I would use it again if it was ever reformulated.
Another gorgeous product from La Roche-Posay. I’d been eyeing up this serum but wasn’t sure about spending $70 on it. I’m still not sure it’s quite worth the price when there are other serums around for far less which I love almost as much. I say almost, because this one has some huge advantages over the others. Not only is it a gorgeous gel that feels velvety and smells delicate and expensive, but you don’t need a lot. In the last couple of weeks of use, I have barely used maybe an 8th of the bottle. And, the best part of all, it has an instant plumping effect. After I apply it, my skin texture looks more even, fine lines seem less, and my skin is plump and healthy looking. I have found that I am still requiring a moisturiser at least at night as my skin was a little dry with the serum alone, but it feels so decadent in doing so, and gives my skin an extra boost and glow. This is also excellent with the Vitamin B5 for acne or hormonal spots. La Roche-Posay is my fav favourite skin care brand, and this product has lived up to my expectations.
Tips: Use dropper, one drop seems to be enough for my skin, gently press using fingertips onto face and neck. Do décolletage area too!!
I think it's fair to say that we're all becoming more conscious of the ingredients that we're putting on our skin. LRP has jam-packed this serum with some that I was already familiar with (hyaluronic acid, vit B5) and one that was new to me, madecassoside. This formula is supposed to 'plump the look of skin... and activate skin renewal' both of which sound great to me. I like the clinical presentation of the product because it always makes me believe in its efficacy! It's a blue glass jar that comes packaged with a separate dropper. The box is full of info about the serum's benefits which makes a good read.
The serum itself applies nicely, it absorbs quickly and left my face feeling fresh. It's a fast-acting moisturiser and works well morning or evening before applying your next product. I found that it layered well, too. I didn't have to muck around waiting to pop on my moisturising cream.
Overall, this makes a nice addition to my skin care line up and it's one I'd have no problem telling others looking for a serum to try out. I can't say that I noticed any difference in the appearance of fine lines, but maybe my lines just aren't fine enough? Don't expect miracles, do expect a great level of moisture that'll keep your face feeling fresh all day.
I'm SO impressed with this! I don't know why, but I had low expectations for this for some reason, I think because I've used other serums in the past and not been impressed, but this was great!
My skin is feeling amazing after using this for just over a week, it looks so fresh and it feels so soft! At the beginning I was just using the serum to see how my skin reacted to it, but then after about 3 or 4 days I started putting on the serum and then putting on my moisturiser and WOW what a dream team! I don't think my skin has ever felt this great.
The serum itself is a good consistency, not so thick that it's hard to get out of the dropper and not so runny that it runs all down your face when applied. I like that it didn't really have a smell as that can be pretty off putting, especially if it's something you apply before bed (which I did with this). It dries really quickly too so there are no issues with applying makeup over it or laying down in bed etc. Also when makeup is applied directly over the top it does go on smooth/ I didn't have any issues. Previous serums or gels I've used in the past have caused the makeup to lump up a little, but this was great!
This is definitely something I'll be looking to add in to my regular routine.
Like all La Roche-Posay products this one performs as it should. There is something about these cosmetics there Made in France! The French really seem to have skincare, beauty and fragrance down to a fine art and so does La Roche-Posay.
The Hyalu B5 Serum is the perfect addition to any skincare routine. This preparation is for after cleansing and pre-moisturiser. The more you use it the better your skin responds. Hyaluronic Acid attracts moisture to your skin and keeps it hydrated, this in turn produces a plumped and rejuvenated skin surface. When your skin looks good, everything else looks good ie the makeup you apply on top.
Hyalu B5 Serum works hard to keep your skin plumped and primed. Skin appears more youthful, texture is firmer and glowing after use. This product absorbs easily into freshly cleansed skin and has a pleasant aroma. The texture is light and easy to apply all over your face and neck.
This is a great product for over 35's, people with drier skin or just as an anti-aging prevention/intervention. A must have for beautiful looking and feeling skin.
Tips: Apply 3-4 drops to freshly cleansed and dried skin. Apply all over face and neck. Then moisturize as normal.
Apply on decolletage as well to prevent premature aging of your chest skin.
Mix a few drops with your normal moisturizer as a combined product instead of using as a separate step in your skincare routine.
Use twice daily for optimum results.
Team with other La Roche-Posay skincare products for the best results.
Absolutely loved this product. From the packaging - clean, crisp and clear, to how it worked magic on my skin. I have sensitive/ combination skin that has a few wrinkles coming. It made my skin feel soft and plump without being greasy. My skin felt hydrated throughout the day and was great under makeup.
I am ADDICTED to La Roche-Posay skin care - ever since BR opened my eyes to the brand, I just can't get enough!
The Hyalu B5 serum is no different. It's a powerhouse product in a simple, prescriptive bottle.
The packaging is classic LRP - blue and white. I like the touch of using blue glass, it looks modern and classy. The dropper lid works well, I find one 'squeeze and fill' works well for my face and next.
This product instantly smooths the skin - its non greasy and what I'd describe as a dry oil.
It has a scent and I just can't place it - I've been trying to work out where I know the scent from, but so far, no luck. Regardless its quite a fresh, unisex scent.
I've been using this for about 10 days now, and I'm really enjoying it. My skin feels more supple, and I find my other products go on much more smoothly too. I think this would make a fab addition to any regime where the skin needs fast hydration. It's also the perfect introduction to serums for those looking to up their skin care routine.
Tips: Try is as a primer too - you'll be wowed!
The serum arrived in the telltale La Roche Blue and White packaging, a 30ml bottle, and a separate dropper. I have been trying various serums over the last 2 years and have been going back to my old trusted brand every time.
The product stated that it was Anti-aging concentrate, repairing, replumping for sensitive skin. The serum is to be applied to the face and neck and the watery gel texture was pretty light and spreads easily. It took me a few tries before I was able to drop enough on my hand to cover my face and neck and did not dry sticky at all.
You don’t need a lot of product so it lasts a long time I have always had pretty sensitive skin and with the constant use of water and hand sanitisers over the Covid period I have been left with pretty dry skin. The onset of winter also brings about heat from the air conditioners which instantly dries out my skin.
As my skin is very sensitive (psoriasis prone) and many products can irritate and inflame my skin, this product did not lead to any irritation which is plus point.
I found that the serum left my skin feeling plump and definitely replenished my skin. The product had quite a strong fragrance, but not overpowering. I do think over a period of time using the product it will improve the condition overall, a week did not show much of a difference.
The bottle was easy to close with the dropper and I disposed of the bottle’s original cap. The packaging went to the bin with the cap. Bit of a shame to fill the landfill.
Apply morning and evening on clean face and neck and follow up with moisturiser. I have been using the product twice a day and as with most serums this will last long.
Price wise $69-$75 depending on where you buy is in line with other serum I have used before but for me did not have the same benefits.
Tips: Start with only a few drops on the back of your hand or you will end up with wasted product, its easier to add a few more drops.
