I think it's fair to say that we're all becoming more conscious of the ingredients that we're putting on our skin. LRP has jam-packed this serum with some that I was already familiar with (hyaluronic acid, vit B5) and one that was new to me, madecassoside. This formula is supposed to 'plump the look of skin... and activate skin renewal' both of which sound great to me. I like the clinical presentation of the product because it always makes me believe in its efficacy! It's a blue glass jar that comes packaged with a separate dropper. The box is full of info about the serum's benefits which makes a good read.
The serum itself applies nicely, it absorbs quickly and left my face feeling fresh. It's a fast-acting moisturiser and works well morning or evening before applying your next product. I found that it layered well, too. I didn't have to muck around waiting to pop on my moisturising cream.
Overall, this makes a nice addition to my skin care line up and it's one I'd have no problem telling others looking for a serum to try out. I can't say that I noticed any difference in the appearance of fine lines, but maybe my lines just aren't fine enough? Don't expect miracles, do expect a great level of moisture that'll keep your face feeling fresh all day.
The serum arrived in the telltale La Roche Blue and White packaging, a 30ml bottle, and a separate dropper. I have been trying various serums over the last 2 years and have been going back to my old trusted brand every time.
The product stated that it was Anti-aging concentrate, repairing, replumping for sensitive skin. The serum is to be applied to the face and neck and the watery gel texture was pretty light and spreads easily. It took me a few tries before I was able to drop enough on my hand to cover my face and neck and did not dry sticky at all.
You don’t need a lot of product so it lasts a long time I have always had pretty sensitive skin and with the constant use of water and hand sanitisers over the Covid period I have been left with pretty dry skin. The onset of winter also brings about heat from the air conditioners which instantly dries out my skin.
As my skin is very sensitive (psoriasis prone) and many products can irritate and inflame my skin, this product did not lead to any irritation which is plus point.
I found that the serum left my skin feeling plump and definitely replenished my skin. The product had quite a strong fragrance, but not overpowering. I do think over a period of time using the product it will improve the condition overall, a week did not show much of a difference.
The bottle was easy to close with the dropper and I disposed of the bottle’s original cap. The packaging went to the bin with the cap. Bit of a shame to fill the landfill.
Apply morning and evening on clean face and neck and follow up with moisturiser. I have been using the product twice a day and as with most serums this will last long.
Price wise $69-$75 depending on where you buy is in line with other serum I have used before but for me did not have the same benefits.
Tips: Start with only a few drops on the back of your hand or you will end up with wasted product, its easier to add a few more drops.
