La Roche Posay® Pure Niacinamide 10 Serum

Is there such a thing as a bad La Roche Posay product? I don't think so. Since being exposed to the brand, I've tried a few (Chemist Warehouse has a great selection) and I've never been disappointed.

I haven't tried a niacinamide serum before, I've tried this current trending ingredient in creams, but never as the powerhouse ingredient. I think I've been missing out!

It is non-greasy and leaves no residue. It doesn't pill under make up which is good.

It's very hydrating and as it's suspended in Hyauronic Acid I apply to damp skin - it seems to help lock in moisture.

My skin has been noticeably more even and the texture more refined. It just feels so smooth and supple. It looks glowier. I feel so good in my skin right now, it's wonderful.

I was really excited to try this. I love my La Roche Posay suncream and had high hopes. The serum comes in a cute purple bottle. The serum itself is almost pearl colour, and is light and creamy. It has a very light scent which is great. It glides on to the skin and instantly absorbs. I have very sensitive skin, including eczema around my eyes and it didn't irritate that at all. I'm not sure it had an affect on my dark spots, but maybe just a bit more time is needed. I only applied the product at night too just in a bid to lessen the sunburn factor as my skin is so sensitive (you SHOULD apply suncream every day and it is HIGHLY recommended when using this as product as it can make you more prone to burning). It sits nicely underneath a night cream, and didn't leave my face oily or anything. I feel like my skin is plumper and more hydrated and I noticed a reduction in acne too over the month. One thing that I was not a fan of - the dropper. It's a blunt end dropper and was quite hopeless. I ended up using it more as a scoop, wiping the serum off the outside of the dropper instead. Overall though, a lovely product that delivers results with consistent use.

After 2 island holidays this year and my fave getting more sun than it has in years this serum has come at the best time! Spots that I have worked on fading for years had reappeared and something to get rid of them quick is welcomed. I have found this serum to be lightweight and easily absorbed, with no reactions. Used nightly I do feel that it has faded the spots over the few weeks I have been using, will continue to use and in conjunction with moisturiser on top works well. Overall nice and light, easy to apply and def assists with dark spots.

Oh the bottle. That purple bottle! I'm a sucker for purple glass. Anything in purple glass just has to be magic!

This is a very light, non-greasy serum. I find it really easy to apply and you just need a few drops for your whole face and neck.

This is just a beautiful addition to any skincare routine I think - it is definitely repairing and brightening - my skin is feeling so good!

I experienced no tingling, no irritation, I was able to jump straight in and use twice a day.

It seems to hydrate immediately and I confess some days I forego the moisturiser and just use this!

This comes in a lovely purple bottle, with a separate dropper. I opt to use the dropper as I'm a bit heavy handed.

There's lots of reading on the box, and it's small, so put your glasses on before use!

I use this twice a day and I'm enjoying it so much. My skin is very hydrated and feels really really soft. I like the silky feel and it really absorbs well.

I think this has faded dark spots and left my skin with an overall brighter appearance.

Absolutely love this and will be definitely adding it to my skincare routine. I hate when products leave a sticky or greasy feeling on the skin and this serum doesn't do that at all. It absorbed into the skin and left my skin feeling super hydrated but also not greasy on the surface. The scent also isn't too overpowering or overly strong.A little goes a long way as well so i feel like it will last relatively long

Selected for this trial. Have not used serums from this brand but have heard good things about it. Love the purple glass container. The serum itself was thicker than other serum type products I have used before. Did have a slight scent, kind of chemically scent? Probably due to the ingredients?

Used this almost every day since I received it . Results so far were not what I was expecting. I rarely have a reaction to products I use. My skin condition prior to using this was decent. Clear, slightly oily. Since using this I developed what seems to me like closed pores/bumps all over my forehead. Not just I know it's there but clearly visible. The only conclusion I came to was that it was this product. This is the only change in my skincare routine since July.

I thought it might be one of those skin break outs, bringing up the stuff beneath the surface. However, it hasn't improved. I want to continue to give it a chance but am unsure at this point. Ultimately, I don't think it is a skincare item for me.

I was lucky enough to be picked by BR to trial this serum. It has a typical presentation of being in a glass bottle with a dropper to dispense the serum. I find one dropper’s worth of serum to be the perfect amount. The packaging is what you expect and is very functional. The product itself is a very thick serum but it works into and sinks into your skin beautifully. The consistency of the serum definitely gives it a luxe vibe. My skin is quite sensitive (as evidenced to reacting to the products at a facial in the last month) but this serum has not caused my skin to react at all. It has been quite an easy addition to my routine. My skin is looking great after using this serum for the last couple of weeks. I really like this product and will repurchase it in future.

Used this daily morning and night, noticed some of the darker spots I had forming were a little less visible. Feels so nice on and seems to make my skin look bright and fresh. The only slightly annoying part is the dropper, makes it really hard to get enough out, I can see this being a pain in the end as you get low in the bottle!

Well folks it works! My sun spots are less noticeable without taking away my freckles, (which I love!) My skin tone is even and I look healthy. My skin has gone from dull grey-yellow to bright and dewy. It feels lovely on the skin and doesn't feel like a chemical bath or have that horrible chemical smell. The smell reminds me of Mum's Oil of Ulan from the 80's which is quite comforting. I have seen a slight blurring of the lines on my forehead and scarring above my lip which is appreciated! In testament to it's efficacy, in the first week of using it, I had a bunch of boys, young enough to be my son follow me around the Warehouse...I can't promise you'll have the same or even that it was my 'new face' but it was quite funny nonetheless. This is a great product and you will see results.
