La Roche-Posay® Toleriane Ultra Reviews

I'm loving this product! I have very dry, very sensitive skin but this product makes my skin feel amazing! It doesn't sting when it goes on like a lot of products do on my skin. Even though the bottle is quite small, you don't need much. The product soaks into skin well but skin feels hydrated all day, in fact my skin feels amazing!

Having lived with sensitive skin for years it's a battle to test and try skincare. I can't even begin to think how much I've spent on something only to have to throw it out or just give it away because I've had a reaction to it.

This arrived at the perfect time with the pollen in Canterbury at the moment my eyes are crying for help so thank you BR.

I emailed LRP a while back after I read a few reviews on BR from another trial. They were so helpful about sample size availability and also quick to point me in the direction of life pharmacy where you can try before you buy. Very handy prior to purchasing a full bottle. I also notice they are a branch of L'Oréal which is handy as they are so well known and I've had a lot of luck with their skincare in the past. So I highly recommend going and testing some out at life.

This was my favourite out of the two products. I was brave and just applied all over without any test patch - yep living dangerously.

It was great. I had no reaction as expected from a product aimed at sensitive skin. It's recommend to apply day and night and I did follow these instructions - it didn't cause any breakouts or greasyness for me so I was happy to follow directions. One pump was plenty as it's a light white formula that effortlessly glides across the skin. A little did go a long way - the tube spits out a thin stream of the cream.. one pump doesn't amount to too much - it's the perfect amount. The 40mL tube will last a long time. I've been using approx. 10 days straight and I have only just noticed the bag inside the tube has shrunk down a little.

Packaging looks great - blue and white box with simple explanations and directions for use along with simple elegant packaging. The box encases your pump action tube.

This tube has some amazing technology - to keep your product fresh, free from oxidation, contamination, residue and also reduces waste. It's rather fun to watch.. you can YouTube it or just watch your own tube shrink. It's got a little bag inside the tube that shrinks down with use. The tube also has a twist top that's handy for locking when travelling. Quite flash!

The product itself feels amazing on the skin. I actually find it acts like a primer.. it definitely performs better than my $50+ primer anyways. It creates this moisture layer on the skin that lasts for hours. It gives you a dewy fresh look and leaves your skin feeling so smooth. It's not greasy or oily, it just feels fresh.

In terms of performance it's a winner. My car is covered in pollen at the moment and so my eyes and nose have been suffering. Using this has been amazing I feel like it's given my nose area the protection barrier it needed after all the nose blowing and sneezing. It's soothing so you forget you had irritated skin.. it calms it down and provides relief.

I am definitely a fan of LRP I have already brought their sunscreen so if your curious go have a play with some testers.

Ok, so i have heaps of trouble finding products to use on my face, i have so many issues, eczema, dry skin, adult acne, general irritation. yep super fun! so ive tried alot of products to try help my bag of fun face-skin problems. and lets say i have a few used a few times products in my cupboard. So getting this product i was skeptical it could actually help. yeah i know it says "Tolerance tested on allergic skin" but how many times do we read that and it turns out just not my skin..... well im happy to say that this wasn't actually bad at all!! My face is super soft, and my eczema hasn't been irritated by it at all (freaking yay!!) the bottle is very cute and easy to use, i used about 1 & 1/2 pumps to cover my face and neck which im happy with, the 40 ml bottle should last quite some time (at least a few months) Will i continue using this? hell yes! Will i be buying more when it runs out? hell yes! this is my new fave products, my eczema thanks you!!

Looking at my other moisturisers, they're generally between 50 and 70ml. The Toleriane Ultra is 40ml.

Its well packaged, with a very detailed box, covered in French - and if you look hard enough, English. Phew!

The moisturiser is hermetically sealed which means it can be free from preservatives and parabens as it can't be contaminated by oxygen or dirt or other environmental factors (like grubby fingers!). It promises there won't be any wastage or dried up product due to this fancy pants packaging.

The moisturiser is really thick but light. There's a faint scent, but its not fragrant nor off-putting. I found 2 full pumps enough to generously cover my moon head.

I was worried it wasn't going to absorb, it has an almost tacky feeling upon application. But it does absorb beautifully and evenly.

I felt hydrated all day and it created an even, smooth canvas for makeup.

There was absolutely no irritation using Toleriane Ultra and I genuinely looked forward to using it! As other reviewers have said - its just a fantastic moisturiser!

Another win from LPR!

I had never tried any La Roche-Posay products before but had heard a lot about how good they were on BR. When I saw the invite for this trial I was over the moon and couldn't wait to try it out. Made in France oh la la!

The moisturiser comes in a fantastic bottle with a pump, you simply turn the nozzle to open and shut, it is great for travel as it shuts very securely. It holds 40ml of product, a little definitely goes a long way with this. I feel it will last for ages. It has no noticable smell and no horrible ingredients.

It says it can be used on the eye area also which is fantastic.  I have mainly been using this one at night as it is a little bit thicker than my normal day cream and as I work in an extremely hot environment I prefer something really light during the day.

This hydrates my skin so much! It makes it feel incredibly soft and plump. I had some dry patches above my eyebrows and they literally disappeared after the first use. I feel it makes me look a little shiny which is another reason I prefer it at night. I wake up with amazing looking skin every morning. No dryness and it has not broken me out. Woohoo!

Overall this is a fabulous moisturiser, if you have sensitive, dry skin I highly recommend. The price is great and the product is amazing. Thanks BR for giving me the opportunity to trial this! Love it :-)

So leading up to using this product as part of the BR review I have had one of the worst breakouts in years. In fact, the breakout is still in full swing. I was really interested to see how the La Roche-Posay products would react with my inflamed and pimple covered skin....

But first, the packaging. I love the pump mechanism which is explained on the box. It ensures no air can enter the bottle, meaning there is no need for extra preservatives in the moisturiser. What a great idea! The pump was also really easy to use and the product flowed smoothly.

The moisturiser is rich and thick. To cover my entire face I needed two pumps. Because it is such a small bottle (40ml) this probably means that I will use up the entire pack quite quickly. But for dehydrated skin, the rich texture feels soooo good as you smooth it across your face. I instantly felt the suppleness and moisture content of my skin improve. For people prone to oily skin, this product might not work so well.

I have a lot of redness on my nose which I'm really self-conscious about. The La Roche product definitely help calm this redness, which I am so happy about! This fact alone would make me repurchase again.

Then there is the rest of my face. My chin, cheeks, jawline and forehead suffering from a breakout which has so far lasted two weeks. La Roche didn't improve or exacerbate the breakout. I still used pimple treatment cream in targeted zones, but at least La Roche didn't make my tender skin more inflamed, and I am very thankful for that.

As I transition in to natural skincare, La Roche has been a great starter product. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family that also have sensitive and allergy prone skin.

I was pretty stoked to have been signed up for the Soothing Fluid, I have heard and read good things about this range, but was still a bit hesitant about the all-natural products. I have used some all-natural products in the past, but unfortunately, they have not even come close to what they advertised.

The small bottle arrived in similar box to the eye-cream which I am also reviewing. The white box with blue print mimics their claims as a soothing cream and somehow already made me feel good about the product – clean and easy.

The soothing fluid is slightly bigger than the eye cream, but still a decent and acceptable size to travel with. I’m happy about this as we have an overseas trip coming up soon and I was freaking out about what moisturising products to pack. Pretty sure these will be great for the carry on.

It comes little twist pump that squirts just a good about of the milky light texture, that when applying with the fingers absorbs into the skin quickly, with no greasy after-feel. I could feel my skin immediately starting to calm after application and found the fluid to be hydrating and soothed the redness around my nose and cheeks - caused by the cold weather and working in an air-conditioned environment day in and day out. It can be used also be on the eyes. I have lately not been wearing much make up due to my skin blotchiness which makes my makeup looks patchy. I have however for the last few days added some BB tinted cream and a lick of mascara and all worked great over the soothing fluid.

If you have sensitive skin, I highly recommend you to try out these yourself – I found it amazing – even living with psoriasis which normally decides to flare at every little change in beauty products I use I have had no flares. This is my new favorite product and I will definitely need to add it to the shopping list.

Wow, I can’t say much more! This cream in the short time I’ve used it has had a wonderful affect on my dry winter skin. I have had dry patches on my face constantly for years due to genetic condition and since starting using this those small patches have disappeared. It is non-greasy and goes on smoothly. You only need a small amount as it goes a long way making it great value for money. It feels refreshing and calming on the skin. .

Wow now this product was a lovely we addition to the eye contour cream i was sent to review. I love how this product is also low irritant and zero preservatives.

The packaging is basically a plastic bag within a tube and is designed to prevent oxygen attacking the formula, which means no added nasties to keep the formula from deteriorating, there is a lovely wee diagram on the side of the box to illustrate this. The pump bottle also has a handy quick on/of turn pump to prevent those nasty travel bumps which end in product everywhere.

I have used this a few times as i had only had it a few days before having to submit a review. But the formula is non greasy, definitely no fragrance and adsorbs incredibly quick..

I found with this product that i needed a few pumps for my face and neck and it was just absorbing super quickly however it is still a thicker formula than what im used too.

It was fantastic under makeup as well and didnt interfere with my foundation.

Final review: I probably wouldnt buy this myself, but i am willing to see how it goes after two weeks to see if i notice any changes.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this product being unfamiliar with this brand and I was not too certain if this was supposed to be a moisturiser or a preventative from skin irritations such as eczema,rosacea and dry itchy skin,well to my surprise it does both!..I didn't think much of the outside packaging,looks a bit drab and clinical looking to me and I found it hard to read the instructions,both on the packaging and the bottle which were in English and French.I don't have bad close up vision so that was not the case just that the print is rather on the small side...On opening the packaging it reveals a pump bottle with an easy to open twist screw lid.I love how the bottle is secure by using innovative ultra-hermetic packaging to keep the product free from any contamination and so that nothing can leak out also ensuring there is no mess or waste...The product consistency is creamy and light and I also love how there is no fragrance to irritate my skin.When I first applied to my face and neck I noticed a slight tingling sensation but this soon disappeared and I have had no other reactions since using the cream.I used 4-5 pumps for both my face and neck day and night.The cream felt lovely and soothing,light and non greasy.I could see my face had a glowing look afterwards but not shiny so that it looked like an oil slick,just a healthy glow.My skin felt soft,smooth and hydrated after waking up in the morning and lasted all day.My dry itchy patches and slight rosacea were starting to improve and although it has been less then two weeks of trialing this product I believe with continued use my skin will look amazing.I found when wearing foundation it is best to wait 5 - 10 minutes to let the product sink in to your skin but this product is excellent to use as a primer...Overall I really like this product because it is free from the following skin irritants which are preservatives,parabans,fragrance,lanolin,colourants and drying alcohol and contains skin friendly ingredients such as shea butter and squalane along with calming thermal spring water to naturally soothe your skin and NeurosensineTMA scientifically proven to calm the skin...Would I say this is an economical product to use? well it is a tad expensive but if you suffer from dry,easily irritated skin then I think this is money well spent.
